Now that I've gotten jelly bean, Am I supposed to be able to expand notifications for text messages? Or quick reply? My emails seem to default to the expanded notification, and text notifications seem to look exactly the same. Galaxy s3

Just check by pinching in sideways on the notification. I'm not on the OTA but that's what Samsung changed the expandable notifications gesture to on VRBLK3.

The notifications are different for everything but texts... I was just wondering if this is normal?

On the versions of android prior to ICS, I was able to swipe the status bar to dim or brighten the screen. This worked on stock rom or one made from a developer. It worked on my Captivate my Vibrant and my skyrocket. I installed Seans's SKYICS on my skyrocket and no longer have the feature. Is this something Samsung dropped in ICS or something I should ask the developer about? This was a really convenient feature for me.

Is there anyway to disabled the screen from coming on from notifications like iphones? It's really annoying haha.
