[Q] Xperia J Jelly Bean question

I would like to flash the Jelly bean update for the Xperia J on my phone and I wanted to ask which one do you guys suggest?
I would like one that does not have bloatware.
And also could you please provide me with the link?

look in general section and choose the unbranded ftf. or follow the root jb tutorials because you have to flash the jb as a pre rooted zip to have root theres tutorials for locked & unlocked bootloaders

I have a Nexus S.
Information about it:

The bootloader is currently unlock.
Is it a good idea to flash it wiith a custom rom? If yes, which is the best?
I read in this forum that to install custom rom, i must Install TWRP ou ClockworkMod . Why can't flash it witch normal bootloader?

u need a modified recovery to flash a .zip rom from the phone.

Hi There,
As far s your question Yes you should go and root your phone and install a custom ROM you can try CyanogenMod Roms for Nexus but thet are Battery Hungry. You can also go for AOSP roms . The alternate name for your device is Crespo.might help you in finding custom roms for your phone.
Inorder to root your phone See my thread in XDA. How to root Nexus S. It aslo tells you how flash a custom recovrey.

CWM For locked bootloader? Xperia J ICS

Looked around a bit and found out its virtually impossible to unlock the boot loader if you are Carrier Locked so now my question is can someone help me installing CWM on Xperia J Locked bootloader (ICS 4.04 / Firmeware 11.0.A.7.5). This is because whilst browsing the web I also found its possible to flash ROMs that are based on stock ROMs which is the only reason I rooted in the first place!

Hmm, i think you can't because your bootloader is locked. :silly:

so how am i meant to flash a rom? My phones well slow

I recommend you to flash AlienRom. Its compatible with locked bootloader. Just follow the instruction how to install it. Also the rom doesnt have custom kernel inside, so just flash the stock kernel after you install the rom.
