Hey,
This ROM is a complete Omni build with the addition of the experimental and unfinished Multi-Window feature.
It is also my very first Android build so don't expect everything to work and don't blame me if youe device breaks.
However I've been running this ROM for a few hours and so far everything seems to work,
except from a few bugs with Multi-Window.
Keep in mind this ROM is for the 2012 version of the Nexus 7 3G only

Instructions
Code:
- Do a Nandroid Backup

- Flash Gapps
- Flash SuperSU
If you are coming from earlier Omni builds no wipe should be required.
The build should be on par with official nightlies from 8th or 9th December.
If you are coming from a newer nightly make extra sure you do a Nandroid backup, even though it should be fine.

I added the screenshot and uploaded a newer build.
All new Changes to Omni included as well as a newer version of Multi-Window

Updated with sources from 13 December to 4.4.2
Multi-Window remains the same.

Hey, Until now it is for the 3G version (Tilapia) only, i don't know what will happen if you flash it to a wifi version (Grouper) but I would strongly advise you NOT to do so.
If there is Interest I might look into preparing builds for the Wifi version as well.
I also released a new Update with sources from 15 December and
Multi-Window updated to PatchSet 13

Then, you should better give some info about 'only 3g' in first message, cause it could be dangerous:cyclops:

I'll add it, but if one has a wifi device one shouldn't be looking for ROMs in the 3G Forums in the first place.
Thanks for letting me know.

I am not sure if I can help you and I am a little confused. Did you flash this Rom and a sms/tether mod onto your wifi Nexus 7?
You shouldn't have, as this Rom is for tilapia only.
Also the mod said it's intended for stock roms.
My device is running fine with the dec 15. Build so I guess it's a problem in combination with the mod you installed, especially considering that other users in that thread complain about boot issues / bootloops. I suggest you boot into recovery and restore your nanda nandroid backup and/or search help with other users of the mod you installed.

I have tilapia, don't worry about it.
If you can, please, can you investigate what's wrong there, because i can not use your rom without sms

As I already wrote, I won't be able to help you with this.
The thread mentioned that the mod is supposed to be applied on stock based roms.
The reason for this seems to be that it includes a modified framework that is applied with the mod.
Omni Rom has a heavily modified framework and the multi window feature in this Rom modifies the framework even further.
So what you're doing by flashing the mod onto this Rom is adding incompatible files to your Rom that are vital for it to run, leading to your problems.
I fear the only way you could enjoy both would be to convince the dev of the mod to make a version specific to this Rom, which I wouldn't count on since this only an unpopular modified version of another custom Rom

Yes, it is for 2012 3G and 3G only
Hmm the force closes are suprising. Have you made sure you've got a 4.4 Gapps package? Did you do a clean install? If not i suggest you try a clean install and restore your apps with TitaniumBackup. I had no trouble doing a dirty flash but there is always a possibility of complications.
As to the clock and time issue I honestly have no clue. Seeing you're from malaysia, is your language set to Bahasa Melayu or english? have you tried switching language and do the issues persist? Maybe there is a trouble with the different charset

Yes, a factory reset will clear your data. However if you use titanium backup Oi can restore apps and their saved data after you flashed a new room. All you have to do is add your accounts again. And if there is something you're still missing you can completely revert to your nandroid backup, provided you made one

[MOD][gapps10/12][JB4.1.2] GA-RPR v2.1.2 - 10/12/12

As many of you have already found, I have been releasing some repackaged versions of the gapps package with some of my own personal tweaks (which are are almost all just other mods by other much more qualified developers than I!).
Disclaimer shamelessly stolen from TopProspects Official CM10 Nightly thread:
Code:
#include <std_disclaimer.h>
/*
* Your warranty is now void.
*
* We are not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this MOD
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
* you point the finger at any of us for messing up your device, we will laugh at you.
* Collectively, and at the same time.
*/
To that end, here is what the package includes:
gapps 10/12 by Formula84
AGPS Patch by crypted (Google specific No-SSL v3.1)
Win7 Nexus boot animation originally by Nighthound, I haven't found who made it portrait for non-tablet users.
Silent camera and camcorder, base OGG from here, but the site appears to be down.
Adblocking from ROM Toolbox
HDMI fix (build.prop mod only)
Please make sure to go to the respective threads and thank/donate to the developers, they are far more worthy than me. Especially for the AGPS patch, please donate to crypted as he is providing actual services to us, for free, that he pays for out of his own pocket. Also, and I have no affiliation with the developer, please consider buying ROM Toolbox Pro, it is a fantastic program and provides so much benefit, at least to me, that I felt I had to promote it!
Download link (same file at both links):
Goo.gl
Direct link
Installation:
Simple. Flash after you install your ROM, preferably in the same flash session. I have only used it with CM10, so I can't speak to other ROM's. It should work fine on any CM10/AOKP based ROM that doesn't already include any gapps. I would recommend against using it with Slim or Superlite, since this will add a lot of 'bloat', but that's your call.
Bug reports, and feature requests are welcome!
Change log:
v2.1.2
- updated base with 10/12 gapps/JB 4.1.2 base
v2
- Initial release with 09/29 gapps/JB 4.1.1 base
First again
Thanks
Nice!! Second...
Quick question.. would these be compatible with the cmupdater? As I understand the updater script backs up gapps and restores them so I am guessing these won't be compatible?

I'm using 2.1.2 with Orthus 5, (AOKP with 4.1.2). Works great, no issues... Works better than the 7.26 gapps that everyone seems to be recommending.
I've been using this AGPS fix and ad blocking for a while now... Always had to install separately, glad to have it all in one package now! Thanks!
Do you mind if I link your stuff in other OPs?
Glad you find it useful, I did the same thing, flash rom, flash gapps, flash agps fix, flash boot animation, etc, so I made it all in one and figured others might find it useful.
Sure, post wherever you want, just make sure you link to this OP so everyone knows what's what.
Thanks!
Any chance you'll repackage with black (inverted) gapps ie: email, gmail, voice, mms? Just curious i love the idea of all in one adder but love black themes just food for thought

Possibly, but it's a lot of work, and that also depends on if someone produces an inverted apk for a particular app. I can't/don't have time to do it myself.
Can't download from either link on my phone.

[ROM][OFFICIAL] CyanogenMod 10.2 Preview Builds for Samsung Epic 4G

CyanogenMod 10.2 is a free, community built distribution of Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) which greatly extends the capabilities of your phone.
Code:

*/
This is a preview build of CM10.2 for the Samsung Epic 4G. It may cause all the things in the disclaimer to happen, or steal your girlfriend while you are busy flashing ROMs.
Please submit a patch to our Gerrit instance if you want to help out.
WARNING: If you are any build prior to the 10/07 CM10.2 build, this will wipe your data due to a resizing of the mtd partitions. If you wish to go back to another ROM, you will need to ODIN back to stock. If updating from a build prior to 10/07, it is recommended to format /system, /data, and /cache AFTER making your backup.
Recommended steps before you install:
1. Install AppBak from Market, run it and save a list of all your apps.
2. Install SMS Backup and Restore from Market, run it and backup your SMS history.
3. Install Call Logs Backup and Restore from Market, run it and backup your call log history.
4. Boot into CWM recovery. Make a full Backup. You will need this backup later if you decide to go back to your previous ROM and data.
5. It is recommended that you wipe data before installing CM10.2 for the first time.
Additional Disclaimer:
Any bug reports coming from an Unofficial CM10.2 build, or a modified/patched Official CM10.2 build (modem patch, kernels, etc.) should be directed to the originating thread. It is hard enough to provide bug support for the official releases without having to worry about bugs that may have been introduced by outside means. Bug reports are very welcome if you can reproduce them after flashing back to an official, stock build. We do want to be able to fix all the things. Thank you.
**Google Apps are not included in these ROMs. You'll need to install those yourself if you want them. Recommended and highly suggested are the 4.3 gapps from goo.im. Any other versions could result in problems.
Preview Builds
cm-10.2-20131125-UNOFFICIAL-epicmtd.zip
Known Issues:
- 3g data mostly working as of 09/13 build. 3g data will reconnect properly after turning wifi off. No need to disable mobile data before turning on wifi. However, I have noticed occassions where 3G will show as connected, but the data connection is not actually active. This can be verified with a terminal app by using the "netcfg" command. If you do not see the ppp0 interface (or just know that your data is not working), a toggle of the mobile data will most likely reconnect your data.
- 3g data partially working as of 08/14 build. Must boot with wifi off. To reconnect to data after turning wifi off, a reboot is necessary.
GPS is working. However, if you are unable to get a lock, toggle the GPS satelites off & on to reset. If possible, use an app like GPS Status to verify.
/system partition has been resized as of 10/07 build - 39MB have been taken from /data, and 21MB taken from /cache, adding 60MB to /system. MAKE BACKUPS and format /system, /data, & /cache before updating.
- /system partition is too small (again), although enough of the gapps package seems to install so there are no major issues (That I've noticed). This will be adjusted in the not-too-distant future.
- Wimax temporarily disabled
Focal has been removed from official builds.
- Focal will take pictures. But it takes a few seconds to save them. And may crash if you take too many. Feel free to check it out anyway.
- Current bluetooth behavior untested.
- Wired headset mic & buttons. (Yeah, Yeah, someday...)
- Probably more.

Believe me, it does bother me to keep listing that bug.
WARNING: If you are not already on an official CM10, CM10.1, or CM10.2 build, this will wipe your data due to a resizing of the mtd partitions. If you wish to go back to another ROM, you will need to ODIN back to stock. Currently, the partition sizes are the same between CM10, CM10.1, and CM10.2

Slightly off: I always see ROM OPs say that we need to Odin to revert the new MTD partition, but for me it never happened that way. When you're on new MTD ROMs like CM10, 10.1, 10.2, just wipe everything and flash the old MTD ROM you want. I don't know if the ROMs themselves have reverted the partition layout to the old one, but at least they boot and work as they would always. Oh, and if you're on a new MTD ROM and willing to nandroid back to an old ROM's backup, just wipe, install the old ROM first (to convert partition), reboot recovery, wipe again and restore nandroid.
Nice work bbelos!

Now we join the (not so long) list of phones whose highest Android version available/installable is 2+ times their initial/release Android version...
HTC Dream (G1) released with 1.0 and ended up in 4.1.1
Nexus One (and some QSD8x50) released with 2.1 and ended up in 4.2.2 (no 4.3 as of yet)
USA Galaxy S family released with 2.1 and ended up in 4.3 (like us )

Yup, partly because the S5PC110 board is still good to go at this point, and partly because of you guys maintaining it constantly

Last I checked there was already unofficial CM10.1 for Sprint variant... and I thought that was enough Not having been officially supported really is a bummer though.
Off-topic: for the same criteria I'd like to buy a second-hand T-Mo GS Relay 4G just because it combines E4G's keyboard with MotoX-level interior and bearable community support (unofficial CM10.1 in 3.4 kernel).
I also would like to say thank you to these wonderful devs for keeping our phones relevant while our phone already has almost 4 generations ahead of it!
I remember way back when I was contemplating between buying the Epic vs. the Evo, today I decided to take a quick peak at the Evo forums just to remind myself how lucky we are to have devs who still care about our phone, thank you for that

Was emoji support removed? I swear I had emojis when I used Tablet Talk on my 2012 Nexus 7, but it's not working here. Am I missing something?

This is the Official source, not modified, so its the same builds as you will see from them and its also officially supported by them. Unofficial would be something that is not support by the cyanogenmod team... so its really not unofficial

Anything not built by the CM Jenkins is considered "unofficial", builds are automatically flagged as such unless you export them in a special way. I've been building my own completely "unofficial" builds, from the official repos, for quite a while.
Anybody having any luck using this build with SlimPort?
When I plug in to an HDMI device the Nexus 7 soft resets.
Thank you for any insights.

How can I enable root?
I've read a few things that we have to manually root after we flash roms, but my toolkit isn't reading my tablet when I connect it...
Is there a flashable zip for root?

CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. You will need to provide your own Google Applications package (gapps). CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit our Gerrit Code Review. Your changelog is whatever was merged into gerrit.
Instructions
First time flashing CyanogenMod 11.0 your device, or coming from another ROM?
Download the zip(s).
Install a compatible Recovery (see here)
Perform a NANDroid backup of your current ROM (Optional)
Wipe data & cache partitions of your device (required when coming from stock!).
Flash CyanogenMod.
Optional: Install the Google Apps addon package.

I'm on 12/9 and I am experiencing no major bugs. Just make sure you use 4.4 gapps (I'm using invisiblek's latest in his OP post). Your milage may vary but I have no reason against using it as a daily driver. Just do a nandroid backup and if you have issues you can fall back to it. My only complaints are minor: the LTE toggle I added to quick settings appears to be buggy/not work. But I changed mobile network settings to CDMA/EDVO auto and that works for me. I needed to install the Google Keyboard before I could type anything but that was before I flashed gapps. Do a factory reset before flashing etc and let us know how it goes!

Based on what I've read from people's experiences switching to 4.4, I would say no. It simply won't boot. Wipe the usual and do a clean install. In general, when in doubt, clean install, 'cause why not?

On 4.4? I haven't personally tried it yet. I've been busy. Once again, from what I've read, people are amazed at how from the first nightly on, this has basically been daily driver material.
Which Google Apps pack do I want for this? Thanks

Question, I see CM11 replaced it's old launcher with two new ones, "Launcher" and "Launcher 3".
What is the difference?

I did a semi "dirty" install over 10.2 RC1 and things like bluetooth and the Google keyboard proved buggy. I have just formatted, wiped cache and dalvik and installed 12/12 nightly fresh. I used the gapps from 12/8 found in the link in the development thread. I used the mirror at invisiblek. Seems much better now.
Edit:
Is anyone else having trouble with their Bluetooth devices reconnecting once paired, powered down, then powered back up? I have a Motorola Elite flip. I pair it. It works. Then if I shut it off it needs to be resynched upon powering up.
How's the camera resolution on CM4.4.1 compared to stock TW? Thx in advance!

Google+ Locations FC?
Hello,
Installed the 12-12 Nightly and am having a problem with Google+.
When I try to access "Locations" (the old Latitude option on Google Maps) to see my friends, I get a FC.
Anyone else get this?
Thanks!
Thinking about going from CM10.2 Stable to CM11 here in a bit. Just a (probably really stupid) quick question: How do I determine what my current firmware is without much trouble? I'd rather not worry about updating that if I don't need to once the time comes.
I see the OP links to VRBMF1 firmware, which is what my Baseband version says (I535VRBMF1) in Settings > About, but I'm not sure if those are one in the same or not. Thanks.

(EDIT: The following statement might not be true. It happened to one user. Unsure about circumstances... If you've done it or want to try, please tell us what happens.)If you have recently downgraded firmware from 4.3 to 4.1.2, DO NOT flash the MF1 firmware. You'll brick your device!
If you know you never took the 4.3 OTA, then you can flash the firmware and modem to your hearts content.
CWM Recovery addicts: Please seriously consider giving up CWM and come on board with what works for sure with 5.1.x, TWRP. Problems have been coming up with CWM users so if you have one, that's were to start. Hopefully there's a 12-step program somewhere for y'all

I don't know if this is a temporary of permanent state of affairs but inquiries are forth coming. In the mean time, the 12/10 build is in the "d2vzw ROM Extras" link below so at least we got that, thanks to XdrummerXboy.

Open GApps:opengapps.orgThey are modular AND have the option of Aroma Installer. Updated daily. Very interesting story on these. There is the website, and an XDA thread.
>>>WARNING!!<<< The first time one installs Open GApps, you have to do it with a ROM update (or reinstall current ROM) AND manually wipe the system partition first. Then install the ROM and the GApps normally, then wipe Dalvik and Cache. After that, you can flash them anytime. (More info on Website.) ALSO, for now, don't install Webview as it might not work. There is an "Android System Webview" in the Play Store that will work.
Other Options:
The Gapps Central For those of you who just have to be different, a GApps Smorgasbord, by TheXGX
Banks Gapps removed after just one too many malfunctions... If you use 'em and have a problem, update from the Play Store your offending app or flash one of these others, but don't come complainin'.

Notes - Possible Bugs
Bluetooth observed as flaky with some connected devices.
CMUpdater apparently only functional with TWRP 2.8.7.0
4G/LTE Data might not start on bootup (lately) - With Wifi disconnected or off, go to Settings>Mobile Networks>Access Point Names and select one of those not already selected. Give it a few seconds. Should be good till next reboot.
Addendum to Data Issue: If you can't live with the above solution (like me) then downgrading to the ML1 modem has fixed it, seemingly without any ill effects. Modem is in the "d2vzw ROM Extras" link above.
>>Attention ATT, T-Mobile and other GSM Network Users (International)<<
If you use your d2vzw on one of the GSM networks, you will have to flash the d2gsm_rilblobs.zip file in the 'd2vzw ROM Extras' link above or your phone won't operate properly!
