Samsung- cant enter recovery, how to wipe/factory reset? - General Questions and Answers

Hello guys
Got samsung galaxy note shv-e160k (korean)
I flashed stock official rom jellybean 4.1.2 (mc3) through odin
Now its stucked on samsung logo for 15 min (common with samsung on flashing via odin, you have to wipe data from recovery to pass that but here comes the bad part)
It cant enter recovery tried all methods
Vol up+ power( after loading start giving vibration with black screen)
Vol up+ vol down+ power( same as above)
Vol up+ home + power(same)
All key(same)
tried with adb reboot recovery command no use in download mode as well stuck logo
Now how to wipe data / factory reset or other method to enter recovey
Ps in prev rom i used rom manager to enter recovery but cant boot to rom here lol

in tegrak kernel, you can do full wipes, factory reset, as well as backups before phone boots, just read the menu as it starts.

Basically if you only want to do the wipes, you can use other tegrak kernel build for your device ( shv e160K) as long as they are the same Android version . After wipe you do not reboot phone but remove battery and enter download mode to flash your working ROM.
you must remember to to enter recovery menu before phone boots when trying this method. ( you will only have 5 seconds)
or
you can try the recovery tools for MY Android Collections ( link below)

Ok finally i can enter recovery
you have to press vol up and vol down and then power, on first vibrate pull power button but keep pushing vol buttons
you will get into recovery after a black screen (4 5 second)

Not included. It seems to be removed from the CWM recovery
I've experienced this as well, and what I can recommend is just try it again, only press the vol down and home button first before pressing the power button. to make sure less errors are had press from the lowest portion of the vol down button.
I remember that the kernel must be flashed with odin or i'm wrong??

Yep it must be flashed with odin, but you have to enter in download mode to do that via pc
another alternative is flash the kernel via odin mobile, I've done it several times and have not had any problems
try to enter download mode thorugh cwm icon
or if you have cyagnomed rom
then if you want to enter ur mode here the steps
connect your device with your pc
turn of ur mobile
take off battery
press down volume + home + power button and then enter the battery while you are pressing ..

[Q] Android system recovery <3e> problem

Hello guys,
I just brought an Galaxy Note N800 from someone, got all the paper and it's totally new.
However I tried to follows guides here on XDA and outside to root and install a custom recovery to install custom roms.
Downloaded all files well, putted into SDcards without any problem.
However, anytime I try to get into recovery mode by Power + vol down.
It always get me to Android system recovery <3e>.
Tried factory reset via backup/reset on setting
Also tried wipe/data factory reset on Android system recovery <3e> when reboot
but still the same issue.
Any clue how to fix it? And I'm happy to being a part of this box now. The Spen is awesome.
Regards
It doesn't need fix Recovery 3E is the standard recovery system. If you want to flash from the SD card then you need to change the recovery to something else such as CWM.
If it was me, I would
1. Install CWM
2. Root it with CF Autoroot
3. Purchase Mobil Odin
4. Purchase Triangle Away
Steve
Suggest root using
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2102677
OR
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1831173
Includes CWM recovery .

Hi guys , I'm really new to this android system world and I did mistake when changing the android because the old one always shows the kernel failed and it will automatic shut down whenever I switch on the phone . When I change it , I forgot to unlock the bootloader and it also don't have any recovery mode . I didn't clear the kernel or cache because i forgot to install the recovery mode . I just install another android version without clearing the cache . After the installation , it turned like this . Please Help me ! It only can open ODIN launcher. I already try anything but still it cannot started . Boot looping -_- . Is there anything that I can do guys ?
Flash JB firmware again with Odin. ( if you're on JB, otherwise GB)
Can u go to download mode?

That image you posted shows charging of the phone, when you turn on phone - pull out USB cable.
Now what to do, flash stock JB firmware with Odin from Download mode. After it is finished if you get a bootloop - go to recovery and do factory reset. You must have recovery, you do not need to install it - it is 100% there, installed alongside kernel.
If you do not have recovery now I assume you had JB and after that you flashed GB. Or if I am wrong, tell us what did you do exacly. What ROM did you install?
If you can go to download mode just flash stock rom you had before with odin as suggested above, it should work again.
Same thing happened to me the very first time I tried to install mod kernel/rom , and this was how I recovered the phone...
If you can't access download mode, I wouldn't know what to do...
This device dun have a recovery mode . I tried to press Volume UP + Home key + Middle button together but stIll it cannot enter the recovery mode .

I already flashed a stock rom but the result is still same like always . I still cannot access to recovery mode . What should I do now ? I already press the Volume down+ Home key + Shutdown button but it just make the phone to reboot
Can you list clearly all the steps you did from the beginning to get to this point, with details of what android version you had before and which one you tried to flash later?

Volup + home +power = recovery mode
voldown + home + power = download mode
Make sure you are using propper key combination to access what you need

ok , try flash twrp again with untick auto reboot (cuz when you boot into os , the os will reflash stock recovery by itself so you must do reflash again twrp ), this time , when screen turn off(by hold vol.down+hold power) ,do quickly hold vol.up+hold home+hold power (for 2 sec and hold off )
Look I did have the same problem.
Bad downloaded twrp file.
Redownload and try again

miss one step, bro
"hold the Volume Down+Power buttons at the same time for about 7 seconds. As soon as the screen turns off/black, quickly press and hold the Volume Up+Home+Power buttons simultaneously. Remember, you have to do this before the boot screen with Samsung Galaxy S6 logo appears or your phone will reboot. Just as the you see the Samsung Galaxy S6 logo, release the Power key but keep the Volume Up+Home buttons pressed until you are greeted a blue screen with while Android logo followed by TWRP menu."
i found on internet and solve problems

the right way
power + home + vol up
By holding the "home button + vol -" keep holding until you see twrp
OR
Depending on the carrier you have sometimes the recovery mode the first time is the hard reset screen.
Before you do this back up your device
if you installing it right, hold the "home button + vol -" when you booting it up once you see it your manufacturer logo, let go of your home button then press it again, keep holding the vol -.
Now, you should now should see the hard reset screen, use the volume key to move and now press yes for everything and then twrp will boot up.
Disclaimer i don't have this device
I have a J500F version, found the solution.
Uncheck Auto Reboot in Odin, then do the "installing", after that unplug your device and just simply remove the battery, then replace it.
If you're done then Volume up + Home + Power button will get you into TWRP.
