Hi,
I used this rom and before it, i used cyanogenmod 10.2 on my galaxy s3 LTE. One feature that i miss from there was the ability to control the gamma of the screen, a feature called Advanced Display in cyanogenmod, like we have in touchwiz. Is it possible to include a feature like that in omni roms?
This is kernel related. Just flash a kernel that supports gamma control.

Oh ok, i didn't knew that
I think we have the control stuff required in the kernel, but we haven't gotten around to integrating the Settings side of it yet.

Hi,
There is a nice app on Market i.e. "NSTools". It have a touchwake function.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1333696
I wonder is there any touchwake like app for samsung infuse. As i dont want to use power/vol button to bring screen back. The "Tap Tap app" of Market drains battery fast.
Thanks

As far as I know (having used NSTools on my Nexus S), the kernel would need to support the functionality held within that app. I think the app just enables the different sections when it recognizes that the kernel supports it.
That being said, I don't know if any kernel, gb or froyo, supports touch wake. I could be wrong but I don't remember ever seeing that in any kernel description on here.
Thanks for your feedback. You are right, Samsung Infuse kernel dont support the touchwake.

Hey, I am having trouble finding the right rom for what I need.
I need to have Skype integration with my contacts as I have the $30 T-mobile 100 minute plan and will use skype for unlimited minutes, having contacts integration makes that WAY easier. However I learned that skype integration is blocked in Sense roms, BUMMER! I Also found that BluetoothIME (Using a wii remote as a bluetooth controller) also doesn't work with sense, another bummer! (Though at this time a rather minor one) So even though there are MANY things I love about HTC Sense, if I have to then I'm going to switch to CM9.1 stable, however I can't seem to figure out if there is a good kernel with the Sweep2wake function that works without glitches on CM9.1.
So my questions are:
1: Are there ANY Sense roms that allow skype integration and Bluetooth controllers? (cause I'd prefer not to leave sense)
2: Is there a working CM9 version of the Bricked kernel with Sweep2wake? or ANY CM9 kernel with Sweep2wake?
3: What kernel is best for CM9.1 that allows overclocking? As the stock CM9.1 kernel doesn't have higher CPU speeds then 1.2GHz)
Thanks for reading.
Hi you can usually turn sweep to wake on with kernel tuner app. You go into misc. Tweaks and just set it to on. Scroll down and you will see sweep to wake. It will say off, press to turn on. I'm not running that rom but it worked for me.I do think it will work for you. Just download kernel tuner from market and give it a try. I just did this myself for the first time today. It worked like a charm for me! There are other harder ways to turn it on but give this a go. It's very easy. I'm running the new pac man rom and it didn't have sweep to wake enabled in kernel. I discovered that kernel tuner easily allows you to turn it on. I hope this is helpful. Best wishes.

Thanks for your tip. Although I discovered and flashed the rom Paranoid Android and it has Sweep2wake enabled! woohoo! And I'm loving my snappy Jelly Bean powered Sensation!
I noticed you have the Pac man jelly bean rom, how do you like it? any advantages over Paranoid Android?
Also, I installed Kernel tuner, and it shows that the governor of my main CPU is Ondemand, like I set it to be, however it also says my second CPU has Badass as its governor? I'm confused as to why they are different. Also, it won't let me overclock my GPU to 320, it just wont stick past 300. I don't know why. Any tips for those would be appreciated! Thanks.
I'm absolutely loving the pac man rom. It has more customisation in my onion then paranoid Android. Such as rom control. If you want sweep to wake on pac man just flash kernel 3.0.53 like I did. If it's not enabled go into kernel tuner from market and go to misc. Tweaks, scroll down, you will see sweep to wake, just turn it on from off and press save. It's that simple. This rom has great data and it connects very fast. In rom control you have many options! One of my favorite is circles for lock screen. You can customise the circle to any color and you wish. Also customise lock screen color. Rom control has a lot of great tweaks available. I was running paranoid before pac man and I'm a big fan of DK work. But for me pac man has the best of both worlds! If you like paranoid, you will love pac man! Give it a try and see what you think! We just got a update to version 5. It's so smooth and fast a real master piece! Do remember to run with kernel 53 for sweep to wake. Both the mentioned roms are great, I just personally think pac man has more customisation. We are all different in our opinions But DO give it a try and see what you think! I think it's a keeper! Do a nandroid of paranoid and if you don't like it, simply flash the backup. No harm done.. but I think you will agree that it's amazing! Best wishes.

maybe your kernel doesn't support more gpu overclock in that value
but if it is then do this
go to system>etc>init.qcom.post_boot.sh(using any file manager)
insert this path to that file
echo 320000000 > /sys/devices/platform/kgsl-3d0.0/kgsl/kgsl3d0/max_gpuclk

Cool, yeah I have 3.0.53 as well. I flashed v20 of Paranoid android and my phone was ridiculously laggy! I searched and found that its the kernel and flashed 3.0.53 and that fixed it! I might try Pac Man after I've used Paranoid Android for a month or so (I only JUST flashed it) and see which I like best. Thanks for your help!
I have been using liquidsmooth for a while now, but thought I'd give cyanogenmod a try. One of the main features missing is the lockscreen torch which I use surprisingly often. Does anyone know if there is an add-on or anything for this? Done some searching and can't find anything.
Also, does cyanogenmod support changing dpi well?

I'm not the right guy to discuss about CM roms but you can probably add this feature through a xposed module.
Custom DPI is always possible.
I've been trying to find an xposed module to do that, but havent managed. its pretty key for me. Love the way AOKP integrated it (liquidsmooth, etc).
Go to the Google Play Store and download an app called the "Nexus Flashlight", it supports a flashlight(torch) application and also has lockscreen support. Plus! It only works on Nexus devices and I think a few others. I assume you mean like a lockscreen widget right? If yes, this is your app. Turning it on and off from the lockscreen sometimes has a delay but it's only half a second. :good:
EDIT: And yes! Cyanogenmod supports changing DPI, at least as far as I'm aware. I'm able to do this on my Inspire 4G running Cyanogenmod11. I got a boot loop by messing with this before, so make sure you know what you're doing and make a nandroid backup for safety!
Gravity Box allows for torch toggle when you longpress the unlock ring, but it can have some issues with custom ROMs.
You could also get access to torch from the lockscreen by using the quicksettings toggle from the lockscreen.
Hey, guys. Is there any other ROM BESIDES PARANOID ANDROID that can give me the ability to control the display temperature? In Paranoid Android 5.1.1 (build 23rd of Aug) you get a slider in the Display settings that lets you control how the display looks. I really like this feature and it's the only thing holding me back from flashing a stock Motorola ROM. I REALLY DON'T want to install any blue light filter apps, like Twilight. They slown down the device. I use this feature to help me sleep better but I hate using 3rd party apps.
Alternatively, is there any way I can flash that feature into a stock Motorola ROM or any other ROM? Paranoid is giving me trouble and has no support anymore. Thanks in advance guys.
Even CM12 has LiveDisplay. If you do not want to flash anything over stock just install kernel aduitor and go to screen (This works provided you have a KCAL kernel). Here is a kernel for stock XT1032
Hi
I have a preferred colour profile I have been using since forever but can't work out how to get it on my new Nougat ROM.
I was using Franco's Display app but it just seems to crash on Nougat... Is there any way to apply colour profile in Nougat? If so, am I able to load a profile designed to be used with the Display app?
Thanks

You may acomplish this by either installing a custom kernel which supports color calibration, (Franco, blue_spark, etc..), and use Franco's app, or you may install "Kernel Adiutor" and under screen settings apply one of the many profiles provided, granting that your current stock kernel supports color calibration, which is the case in most of the Nougat ROMS.
