If you've installed the apk's then go to Language and keyboards in the settings and tick the appropriate keyboards and then open an app that uses keyboards like your messaging app, long press the screen and select input method and then choose a keyboard.
You got a link to the HTC keyboard apk?

Hi, Can someone tell me how I can have the default Android keyboard on my Arc please? I used to have a Nexus S and liked the keyboard on that device and not so keen on the SE version.
search gingerbread keyboard in the market
Thanks for that. I did download it and selected this as my keyboard in the settings, but when I type a text it's still using the same keyboard...
Long press in a text field (messages ect.) And select gingerbread keyboard

Sorry, I don't quite understand
So , could someone tell me if the MT4Gs HW keyboard supports languages other than just english?
If you to Settings -> Language & Keyboard -> Touch Input -> Hardware keyboard settings -> "Default Keyboard"
There's a menu that lets you switch languages but only english is in the options. I predict that once this phone is rooted we'll be able to remap hardware keys to other languages.
If you dl swift keyboard it corrects your typing mistakes and supports 3 languages at a time

How to change from azerty to qwerty

Try pushing the button that says FR until it says EN.
Where are you located? Just to check, under Settings > Language & Keyboard > System Language, is your language set to English (United States)? Also, check under HTC Sense Input > International Keyboards and see if you have French also enabled. If so, either disable it, or simply enter into a text field so you keyboard comes up, and make sure you push the button (bottom left, i think, i dont use standard keyboard) until it says EN.
Ya French and Spanish were checked so I disabled and its qwerty now ... Thumb keyboard I prefer but it's buggy like after space bar it goes back a few spaces and other weird things ...

I've been using Hacker's keyboard (free in Market) and I really enjoy it. There is a keyboard three floating around here somehwere with lots of feedback on different keyboards people use. I've inverse been a fan of Swiftkey.

I haven't had any bugs with Thumb Keyboard and I have been using it for a while.
Hello
When I've tried out the 10.1 Note in landscape, it can feel like the height of the virtual keyboard is too large, i.e. the number row on top uses up vital screen space.
Is there a setting I've missed which removes the row of numbers, or another virtual keyboard that could be used (though without losing access to selecting pen input etc).
Thanks for any advice.
Shrink the keyboard

Yes make a pinch gesture on the keyboard and select the floating keyboard. Its much smaller. If there is a way to shrink the full sized keyboard I would love to know.
If you switch to using the Hackers keyboard then you get extra keys like the delete key and you can adjust the hight of the keyboard and a lot more.

Thanks - I'll try out the Hackers k/b.
I've been trialling Swifkey 3 tablet - pity it doesn't have pen input selection (at the moment, I have to select the stock k/b for that).
Get SlideIT keyboard, its the most customizable keyboard I've tried. You can shrink it to any size.
