I guys
I already install in my xperia x10 the HTC_ime keyboard and the Swype keyboard and i can´t change the default keyboard.
in the setting of language and keyboard i have select the new keyboard, but when i type a messenge the new don´t apear and any key can´t change it.
Enyone have the same problem?

If you've installed the apk's then go to Language and keyboards in the settings and tick the appropriate keyboards and then open an app that uses keyboards like your messaging app, long press the screen and select input method and then choose a keyboard.

I have a Compact QWERTY version 1.5 installed on my Touch Diamond 2, & would like to set it as a default keyboard.
Everytime I reset/restart the phone, the tiny keyboard appears as default & I had to change it.
How do I set the Compact QWERTY as the default keyboard??

just install the full version of sk-tools, and in it there's an option to change your default keyboard to any one u like....and it stays even if u restart ur phone

Does anybody know how to add more languages for Gingerbread keyboard in TNT_Lite 4.2.2?
Actually I need Russian.
I installed MoreLocale and chose Russian - it translated all menus, but didn't give opportunity to pick Russian in Input languages setting...
I appreciate any advices.

You need to find the libjni_cyrillicime.so lib file the libjni_latinime.so is the english file. It needs to go into the /system/lib/ dir.

What ROM are you on.
Vegan, and Adam allow changing of the keyboards easily, TNT-lite (due to TNT) did not till 4.2.0
On the google search bar long press, and the selection menu will show up allowing you to select the gingerbread keyboard.
the gingerbread keyboard was installed by default in 4.2.1 TNT-Lite, 4.2.2 added the adam keyboard.
Hope that makes it clearer
I use TNT_lite 4.2.2 (latest one).
And yes, I know that I can choose between keyboards.
Bot none of them has option "Russian".
I tried to replace libjni_latinime.so to one that comes with my Nexus One - didn't help.
Adam keyboard setting crashes every time that I touch Languages button.
If I install any keyboard from Market - I can't activate it in Settings menu.
Checkbox doesn't become checked.
So I still have the same problem.

Can somebody help me, i can't change my keyboard layout from qwerty to qwertz. I'm using froyocomb 1.5 and i tried manualy editing the keyprint.xml and using keyboard switcher but it doesnt work. So can somebody help me, i need croatian qwertz layout.

Just choose at the language settings German (Germany) and you'll have a QWERTZ-layout.

i have a big problem. i installed gingerDX v21. all worked fine with that. my only problem is, that i can't find a way to change the keyboard layout from qwerty to qwertz. i tried every possibility. in my keyboard.xml it's right said and also in my settings available to choose but it doesn't work. i tried the keyboard changer program, i tried to edit the .xml by my own and i also replaced the keyboard.xml with one i found here. i don't know what i can do else. any ideas? (it's available to choose german and qwertz in settings but it doesn't work in messages or whatsapp or anything else)

have you enabled the swype keyboard throught the Settings ->Language & Keyboard
If so after you do that go to any application that needs a keyboard and then press and hold inside the textbox and it should ask you which keyboard you want to use.
