[12/8][ROM][4.3.1][AOSP][Linaro][UNOFFICIAL] CarbonRom [D800][AT&T] - AT&T LG G2

Just finished compiling Carbon ROM for LG-G2 phone. I have a Tmobile version of G2 phone which is D801. If you want to check the ROM for Tmobile version then it's here This ROM is for AT&T version which is D800. So I was unable to test this ROM on my phone. Please make a backup and check if it works for you.
I rooted my phone and installed TWRP by following the guides on LG-G2 forum.
Download (still uploading) : CARBON-JB-UNOFFICIAL-20131208-0306-d800.zip - 164.35 MB [Please use the zip for D800-AT&T ]
I will update this thread with more details if needed.
About Carbon
CarbonRom is an aftermarket firmware based on the Android Open Source Project. We are dedicated to fast, stable, and feature-filled roms, honesty and communication with our users, and openness with our code. We like frequent builds, with the very latest and greatest hardware support and fixes. We strive to not only provide you with the best rom we can build, but also to give back to the Android community and our fellow developers. For us, this is about creating something we can be proud of and hope you will enjoy.
Please feel free to look at, build, and use our code on CarbonDev GitHub.
We would like to thank CyanogenMod for their device trees, framework/settings mods and their code that was incorporated into this project. We also extend our gratitude to the devs whose code that we have incorporated. Proper authorship has been maintained and can be viewed on our repository.
Special thanks also go to Slim Rom for some of their features, PA, AOKP, and anyone else we may have borrowed commits from that hasn't been mentioned here. If you feel you have been unfairly left out, please - let us know.
While we make every effort to test these builds as much as possible, we are not responsible for anything that may happen to your device, family, pets, or perception of reality. We ask that you do your part to know your device and know how to recover from problems before you flash! If you have questions, ask your fellow users or ask us in #teamcarbon on freenode IRC.
Features
Simply stated, we can't really list features here. There are too many and they change too frequently, and we now support a truly insane number of devices. Chances are, if you like a feature, we have it already. Seriously.

All Carbon downloads and further information such as features, changelog, and FAQ can be found on our goo.im page.
Both nightly and release builds are available. Please note that nightlies are for development purposes. This means that they may not work properly, may not flash, may not build for days at a time, and will probably eat your cat. Support
We spend an astonishing amount of time developing this software. We can't spend much time on XDA as a result, so if you need support, please try the following:
1) Search. Search, search, search. Yes, you. I don't care how unique or important your question is, it's very likely someone has adressed it already. Especially if you're even close to new at this.
2) Read our FAQ, which can be found on our goo.im page linked above. It's new, but expanding fast. Just like us!
3) Ask a question in your device forum. Someone will no doubt try to help you. Warning: this help may come in the form of telling you it's a dumb question that has been asked before. See step 1 - such are the perils of asking questions when you haven't done the research yourself. Android is about helping yourself.
4) Join our G+ Community: http://community.carbon-rom.com This is where we spend the bulk of our time and the best way to reach us and other community members. We update and frequent this community far more than XDA, simply due to time constraints and the convenience of G+.
5) Ask a question on our IRC channel. Connect to #teamcarbon on irc.freenode.net or click here. You'll find several other Carbon fans and usually one or more devs as well. Please be polite.

Remember, every penny you send to us goes right back into the rom. It's used for hardware, server costs, etc - all the things that help us make Carbon better with every release. Your support means the world to us! If you've enjoyed Carbon, please consider a donation toward this goal. Thank you, and we hope you continue to enjoy Carbon!

What do you mean finally, Houston built carbon a while back for the d800 and posted it in the original development thread, along with a few other varieties. You can find them in the PA thread in the 3rd post. Either way though, you've found a carbon rom to flash enjoy!
@diamond jinx, thanks for thinking of us!

I didn't know Carbon ROM was already out. I couldn't find one for D802 (Tmobile) so I built it and later built for other variants as well. Anyway hopefully this is still helpful.

Hey, I think that any development work is helpful. I wasn't trying to say you shouldn't have built and shared it, it's appreciated, Houston's build is no longer being maintained because he's shifted his efforts towards 4.4.

I think that's what I should have said at first. I'm glad carbon ROM is getting some tlc while Houston shifts his efforts else where.

Build is running great for me. Netflix issue is still present like in most aosp jellybean ROMs but that's to be expected. Thanks for this.

Build is running well for me. The only thing I seem to have a problem with is the lockscreen. When I have the "minimize lockscreen challenge" setting checked, the Nav Bar at the bottom is always activated. I can't seem to get it off.

I built it from the latest sources. The build I uploaded is working very stable on my phone. So won't worry whether they call it stable or nightly. Officially the team has moved on to 4.4 and they are still figuring out when to make a last stable release for 4.3

Battery is performance is great for me. Yesterday in 12 hours my phone's screen on time was around 2 hours and if I remember correctly my phone was at 66%. I spent most of my time connected to wifi though and during the screen on time I was mostly texting.
Yes it does have knock on and the remote app works as well.

I have the g2 from Rogers (Canadian) would this work on D803? Love Carbon

Great. Currently, I'm at 14h 15m on battery with 2h 25m on screen, and I'm at 73%. I was running CM 10.2 for a while, and the battery life seems pretty comparable.

You can't be too mad at XDA. They want to promote open development here, and that means that they have to adhere to their own strict guidelines without fail. They cannot promote payment modeled websites, as that detracts from the idea of open-source how they present it. Furthermore, when a user comes to XDA looking for help and mods and what have you, they prefer to find it all in one place. Many people dislike coming here only to be bounced around to different websites and be forced to manage multiple online profiles towards one cause. Unfortunately, while Bonsai has maintained a free and open-source model, the model they have chosen strongly conflicts with XDA's standards and they cannot be a part of that without sacrificing the very thing that makes this site function, flaws and all.
Any drama beyond that, I am unaware of and do not understand.
Bonsai is a great project. Go to their website, enjoy it, but it can't be linked here.
I don't even think its about the donate to get early releease issue. I'm pretty sure it was only about registering to download even though registering is free xda I think wants it to be easy for members to download. Personally I don't care I've used bonsai and it is a nice rom. I've also donated to be an early tester but rules are rules.

Which just goes to show what is so terribly wrong with XDA, and why it has such a horrible reputation in the Android community
It can be phrased in any manner the runners of the site wish, but it all is the same thing.
An overt effort to crush any ability to get any information or help from anywhere but XDA
For supporting an open source platform, XDA is incredibly closed
Nothing to do with pay, as links to 100% free sites are blasted just as much as links to pay sites
And the need to "register" is simply more fluff and feathers, as everyone had to register for XDA as well.
And sadly, despite the Bonsai being 100% free to use and get stuff from, the link will be removed by the rules of this site, after all, can't maintain a Steve Job's like closed wall system, if you allow links to the outside.

It just flashes a recovery partition. You need a rooted rom to flash with. Much easier to use and should also be working on Gingerbread and Honeycomb as they develop the app. In essence it is a cross platform (Win 32, Win 64, Linux, OSX) tool that is expected to work with multiple devices.

Personally I think the whole issue is semantics. If you want to dl a piece of code from the download companies you need to register and often pay $ or you get thrown under the bus while waiting for all the regular customers to finish their business. Personally I would rather register somewhere where I can get something for free without a lot of hassle.

The MasterKey Unlocker is really only useful if you have a stock rom. I'm unsure what will happen if you use it over a CWM enabled device.

Only problem I found with xda was..when I first joined....I had to post x amount of times until I could post in certain sections lol...everything else is just fine..... so in essence how xda operates shouldnt matter to the user, weither you're a leecher or developer. If you did it over 3.0.2.5 that may have made a difference as Bonsai MasterKey was sourced and forked from that level of CWM. Perhaps using Masterkey on 3.0.0.6 causes the other issues. Personally I didn't alpha test MasterKey in this manner and would have to defer to my fellow testers as to the usability in this regard. Master Qu and mattallica where are you?

So, uh, you do know that there is an ACTUAL CM rom out, right? Those guys were all doing unofficial ports, which is awesome, but kmobs stepped up and has an alpha build out for the device (which is now listed officially on the CM forums), so the other guys stopped trying to port it...you know, cause its already done.

1) Learn to write in coherent sentences please
2) There is an OFFICIAL CM ROM out! Official CM >>>>>>>>> the rest of the CM ROMs
first off... they're upset with kmobs for using security measures to stop winzip devs from hacking up the alpha builds they were kind enough to give us in the first place.
second off... cm WILL NOT open their repos until all temporary hacks and major bugs are removed. deal with it! it's their code to do with as they wish. end users should be glad they prefer to use clean code over dirty hacks.
third off... kmobs and company have been working hard for months to bring you the alpha builds you see now. can't you see how someone coming along and hacking their work up with 7zip, throwing in some minor changes (i hope you're at least using smali), and then redistributing the work saying it's faster, cleaner, and better MIGHT SEEM A LITTLE DISRESPECTFUL to the original creators of the code?
Lastly, the cm team has no problem with people using their work, but at least have the courtesy to let them finish it before you DEMAND they give it to you to build from and keep it open source. by that i mean dont take their source, compile and build it, release a rom and then never release any source of your own. prove why your rom is improved over the original instead of just saying it is. oh and if you do improve upon it, submit it to gerrit for approval and GIVE BACK to those you take from.
sorry for the rant but demanding someone release their source before it's even finished is totally disrespectful and i couldn't just keep my mouth shut.
well first of all i write how I wana write if u wana read is really up to u buddy if not then look at another post I think the dust under the screen is were he party is at ;-) .....and I'm sure people are not DEMANDING I'm sure they are asking ....demanding and asking are 2 different things .......and all this community is about giving props and sharing hasn't it always been like that ......is not like props or proper thanks isn't given ........ but of course people will disagree cuz that's how the world goes round .....
fan boys will b fan boys ......
Sent from my Sensation using XDA App
Mmmmmm... No. What's been going on in Kmobs personal G+ feed is waaay closer to demanding than asking.
The ability to see that has nowt to do with fanboyism on either side of the issue, it's simply taking those rose-coloured glasses off and realizing that your favourite xda 'aosp from CM7' 'devs' are most likely not on this development path for the thrill of innovation, nor the joy of doing something truly useful for Android as a whole (like adding new features and such.) Nope, they're mostly in it for the length of their 'thanks meter' aka e-peen, and those clickthroughs/donations. Which means that they will certainly release roms that are based on an alpha, change a bit of ui wording here and there so they can feel justified in telling everyone that 'it's 90 percent their code', add a few half-assed tweaks that cause even more issues on top of that, and then claim it's the best, cleanest, most awesomest rom in the whole wide world.
Small wonder, then, why CM would want do a little 'brand-protection' that they are perfectly entitled to under Apache license.
But then, nowhere is it said in the big book of life that reality pills should be easy to swallow

You can always by pass brand protection for the most part, Just look at my Twitter on the last Pic I posted..
Regarding there source, just let them work until it's done, after all look at MIUI! They turned around & based the foundation of that rom off of CM & now it's in Production... Don't get me Wrong, they put alot of work into it & I hope everyone understand what I mean regarding that.
Until then, just sit & relax... Have a beer or a case until they release the source for it..

[BOUNTY] Ice Cream Sandwich For HTC Doubleshot

OP EDITED..
This thread is dedicated for the bounty of CM9 (Android 4.0) on the HTC Doubleshot. kornyone from Cyanogenmod has brought TBalden into the project and has released CM9 for the Doubleshot. So please show some support, and keep this thread positive and productive. I shall try to keep up with the amount of donations to the pot and update every so often.
All donations will be made directly to the developer(s). I think some information in regards to who and how to send your donations will surface soon. I will make a new link and spreadsheet as well but here is the list of all donators as of 2011. This is how we say thanks to kornyone, TBalden and Cyanogenmod for the hard work put in. I don't think I need to stress how important it is to support our developers - they spend countless amount of time developing, maintaining and updating their work. I have moved on to the HTC One S but I will donate something as I think it's well deserved.
Here is the link to the CM9 for the Doubleshot thread.. Enjoy!!
BOUNTY: $375
I'll throw $20 in the pot.
Sent from my MT4GS - CM7
Ok throw 20 as well

kinda pointless imo, better wait and do it for cm9 (in case we wouldn't get it anyway)

Thanks for your opinion..
CM9 is what we're aiming for. If Cyanogenmod makes it happen then the pot shall go to them. If someone else or another team steps up then so be it. Let's keep this thread productive and show some support - or keep it moving.
I'll throw $10 into the pot.
I don't know how or where I chip my money in, but when its time, original poster please PM me.
I got 30 on it.
U guys should jusgt raise money for a dev to buy this phone because we don have many get that guy who made fuax kernal (I forgot his name) I think he stated in the past that he was interested in this device

Chill? We are chill.. lol. Stop posting jibberish and stay on topic. We are offering a bounty for a reason. If you are not with us then keep it moving. Posts like "chill"and "kinda pointless" do not belong here. So please if you don't want to support this bounty thread then keep it moving. We choose to support this and that's what we'll do. There's nothing wrong with rewarding the developer(s) for the hard work put in.
Im so poor Xo just payed this Quaters tuition fees. I had to buy a Nook Tablet because my books cost to much. YoY if i knew i would throw in 100. Gimme a week. I wanna see a Valpha build

Count on me for $10 if it at least boots.
$15-20 if everything works including the Camera.
The bounty is for a stable ROM for every day use. This I can imagine takes time so we are patient. I would hope to see some kind of beta before Christmas but I don't want to push it. I will try to update the OP every night (EST) for the total of the bounty.
CM team working on ICS
Hello,
I am working with CyanogenMod on bringing ICS/CM9 to the Doubleshot. It has been a labor so far, but as of today, System UI works and multi-touch touchscreen has been implemented. I think this is more progress than others have experienced with the MSM8660 platform.
Anyways, I just posted an update to my G+ about it. Here a YouTube video I took demonstrating multi-touch functioning:
I will be updating G+ whenever I make a new step forward. Next on the list is Data (both HSPA and Wifi), sound, and other things that make it a phone

Yep, he updated the CM7 alpha thread to let us know.
Absolutely worth it. I'd much rather see him/them working on CM9 then CM7 since ICS source dropped.
They spoil us, they really do.
The race is on for your bounty!
OP and bounty updated. Very excited to see kornyone working on this. He did a great job with CM7 and I know CM9 will raise the bar. Lets get more folks chipping into the bounty.

I realize that, but partially disagree. I would like to see cm7 updated to fix the major known bugs. It shouldn't be too hard. Then I would like him to work on ics. Just my opinion, I'm grateful for everything he's done for us regardless.

[ROM][JB 4.3] Unofficial Carbon ROM [11-14-13]

About Carbon
Huge thanks to Coderz for letting me port his rom from the MyTouch 4g and huge thanks to flinny/devil-kin for the kernel and some system files!
Seriously.

Who is Team Carbon?

Remember, every penny you send to us goes right back into the rom. It's used for hardware, server costs, etc - all the things that help us make Carbon better with every release. Your support means the world to us! If you've enjoyed Carbon, please consider a donation toward this goal. Thank you, and we hope you continue to enjoy Carbon!

So far so good Many thanks
clocked to 1.2 (ondemand) to reduce the slight lag.
Also using Trebuchet launcer.
Good Rom will test the battery drain overnight.
MANY THANKS
I like it, I really do, I might even give up cm on my phone for it, but the stuttering animations kills it. Please find a solution because I'm really looking forward to using this ROM.

King Kobra Note 3 Pledge

Hey Guys,
I am an indian note 3 user. luckily i also have an s4 i9500.
i use King Kobra ROM on it. comparing to other roms or even stock roms i see a gain of 6-9 fps whne using this ROM which is quite amazing.
And if you check this thread it has reached 30k viewers in the past weeks and more than 70 posts in which users say how much they love this rom.
Just check for yourself
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2497087
This dev is also contributing on making our partition bigger since we lost 2 gigs from data partition when updating to 4.3 on i9500. he might as well do the same for you.
Also my ram usage stays at 900 mbs on idle even as i have 117 apps.
I would love to use this ROM on my note 3 and the dev wishes to develop for it. After requesting the dev to develop he is 580$ short for relaunching his king kobra team.
So 580$ will make him more intelligent?
Sent from my SM-N9005 using XDA Premium HD app
OP I think you do not understand the word "pledge". XDA no longer allows threads such as this where users donate right away to the developer. What happens is that users post how much they would be willing to donate (but they do not actually donate it yet). Then as soon as the target amount has been met, the thread will be edited to reflect this and will be closed. After that it is up to the users who pledged to make sure the money goes to the developer.
I have taken the paypal link out of the OP, please do not add it back in.
580 would prolly buy him a note 3, genius @juan. I had an s4 an used crash rom, I recently bought an s4 for my gf and went to put crash rom on it too but I saw king cobras rom and had to use it. It looked too good. So now my gfs s4 has king cobras rom..looking fwd to see what he does. But ive seen some developers make rom without the device itself

if he needs a phone he can develop for he can simply develop for he's current phone and if its a good work people can donate to him as a "reward"

just to mention, Philz did this on he's own Thread and he got people who donated to him, not because he asked for it but because users loved he's work and since he didn't have the phone it was hard for him to develop for it. luckily he know got the phone and the recovery is great. but he bought an s4 and he continued to develop for it and he's still developing for other phones he doesn't have, thats a great thing so can this rom dev do as well. even if he can't try it i'm most likely sure he can do exactly what he did on our I9505 to make it work with N9005 because he know that it will work due to the small difference from those devices

I thought I already told you that we do not allow direct donating to developers in so called "pledge" threads anymore as it makes it hard to keep track of who has pledged or donated what. The layout was perfectly fine before the edit seen in the screenshot.
Also to be perfectly honest, aside from yourself, there has been no interest in donating to this developer, quite the opposite in fact so I feel like I'm killing a wounded animal here... best to put it out of its misery.
