Can't install new apps on play store - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III

Lately, I haven't been able to update my apps to newer versions. Whenever I hit update, it just stays at downloading and maybe it might say waiting for network much later. It seems to work on wifi, but not on 3g or 4g. I was on stock play store and now on latest team blacked out playstore, but still getting the same thing. I cleared data and cache for google play services, google play store, and google services framework. I rebooted after that and now my installed list in play store is pretty much empty. I don't know if this is related, but I have been getting force close messages for the play store at random times. What can I do to get apps downloading through my data and not relying on wifi? Thanks.

[Q] New Play Store (4.0.25)?

Has anyone gotten the play store to auto-update to the new 4.0.x version? I know I could side-load it, but I was hoping for it to just auto-update to avoid hassles.
I've tried various combinations of clearing the play store and google services data, uninstalling their updates, and rebooting, and it re-updates them to the prior 3.x versions.
Is this just me? Anyone have suggestions on how to get this to update properly?

Well, I'd tried that before, with no luck. Maybe something snuck in before I restarted and it updated to the old version? Who knows.
This time, based on some other searching I'd done, I tried also clearing the data for Google Services Framework, and being sure to reboot as fast as I could after doing all that.
I also went in and looked at the app versions after restarting but before launching the play store, and it had quickly re-updated the Google Play Services app to I think the newest version (3.0.27, matches my Droid 4 that has the new play store). After launching the play store, it updated that, but only to 3.10.14 (I think it was 3.10.9 before), not 4.0.x.
So, still no luck

[q] need help please!!!

I recently updated my phone to cm11 m8. All was fine until I opened my play store. It gave me the message 'unfortunately, google play store has stopped.' I tried the usual clear cache and data, rebooting the phone etc. Nothing seems to work. I then went ahead to uninstalling updates for Google play services. And when I realised that many apps wouldn't run on the older version I knew I was screwed. If I'm not wrong, the only way to update google play services is through the play store and my play store isn't working. Please someone help me. I feel so worried rn.

Make sure it's set as a system app, and not a user app.

Maybe the google apps weren't installed as they should have been when you were installing cm11. Try to get rid of any app that's related to google on your phone, and then find a zip folder of google apps (I suppose you can find one on cm webpage) and flash it via c.w.m.

i think you need to post to the developers of the rom to add some app gapps including the whole playstore and google services wich in flashable.zip so you could easily install
flash...
Same advice here
remove everything and flash gapps as a zip...
it will most probably work :good:
Cheers :good:

Google Play Store "error Rh-01"

My pet project for reading week was to root my phone for the first time, and I've now been stumbling over errors for around 5 days straight. This is the first time I've hit a wall that I don't think I can just mash random buttons in hoping of getting the order right. Please walk me through this fix like I'm 7 yrs old so I know how to fix things in the future But I need to fix fast as my phone is essential to my work flow, and being able to use the Play Store would be nice.
DEVICE: My phone is a Nexus 5x now running PureNexus.
HISTORY: So to start I unlocked my bootloader, flashed TWRP and have a back up of my Stock ROM as well as a back up of when I finally got PureNexus working if all things go sour. However I'd really love to not reset. When I finally got it working (after like 3 days), I was getting the Error: 497 from the Google Play Store. After fumbling around xda and my settings, I cleared the Data and Cache of Google Play Store and Google Play services apps. Nada. So I show the system apps and cleared the data of the following apps: Google Play services, Google Play Store, Media Storage, Google Services Framework, Download Manager. I then force stopped and disabled Google Play Store. Then I reboot my phone and Uninstalled all the updates on Google Play Store.
(In hindsight, this was all probably WAY overkill ^^^)
Edit: I then successfully re-updated to the newest version via apk. I also tried flashing a copy of Dynamic GApps in hopes that it would fix it.
THE ERROR: Now when I open Google Play Store I get "Error while retrieving information from server. [RH-01]" and it kicks me to the sidepanel, which displays my email but not my Google account. It is now Version: 7.5.08.M-all [0] [PR] 146162341
Any ideas? As far as I can tell, the Error 497 should be fixed because I've totally obliterated all data that could be associated with the app. However, I have no idea how to reinstall Google Play Store because it's the app I use to install things. Thanks for helping! And if I need to re-tag the title of this thread, PLEASE let me know so I can do that.
Hi !
Remove your google account from settings/accounts , reboot your device , add it back , this may be related to a buggy gapps pack you have used , try open gapps micro
Good luck !

About downloadfile.bin

Hi, I have a small problem, While I use my phone there is file useless downloading It consumes Internet speed making it slow and consumes storage space from the phone.
Anyone can help me to stop downloading this file ? I tried to do force stop for system download manager and delete data for
system download manager but is still being re-downloaded.
Normally Downloadfile.bin is created by the Play Store updating something such as Play Services, Instant Apps, or any app, but shouldn't show up in the download manager but can been seen in logcat. Since you see it in the download manager it could be malware so I suggest downloading Malwarebytes or similar and do a full scan first, or it can sometimes happen from running Play Services Beta builds. But since downloadfile.bin is typically associated with the Play Store I would begin there by clearing the cache for Play Store, Play Services, Instant Apps, and your system cache then reboot. If you have Instant Apps installed/enabled try deleting/disabling it to see if it stops. If still not and your running Play Services Beta build then revert back to Stable builds and see. Can also try deleting data & cache for Play Store, if your rooted you can reinstall Play Store completely or if not disable/revert to stock, delete data/cache, then enable/update.
I realize it's 4 days later and you might have fixed it by now but if not then let me know and I'll try and help ya. Kinda surprised, you post this issue on XDA and 4 days later not a single person has offered help lol.
Thank you

Now I got rid of it :good:
Downloadfile.bin is automatically downloaded through Brave browser and is being stored in Download folder of my android mobile. Please suggest.

Play Store Glitch

Hi, my android headunit has the google play store on it because its basically a android tablet.
Google maps is updating in the play store but it is just pending endlessly and makes it so i cant update or install any other app.
When i try to cancel the update of google maps the play store crashes.
I've already deleted the cache and data of the play store but the problem doesn't go away
If you can roll back Gmaps to the factory load version do so.
If you can do that, block Gmap updates in Playwhore settings. Playstore is always a pain, I keep it disabled.
