Adjust Autobrightness + LED Notification Control - Nexus 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello!
I know there has been some talking about it but I have the following questions:
1.) I really love the DroidKang feauture of customizing autobrightness settings and notification led. Which ROMs has the same feauture?
2.) I can't live without Cataclysm's "Immersive mode" and "hide nav buttons" (shortcuts on TILES layout)
So the question is: How to bring those 2 together?
Also, I'd like to know which kernels use lower brightness value? Like ElementalX does.
I know I could just try ALL of the ROMS and all of the Kernels, but I just can't do that. SO suggestions are MORE than welcome

Anyone?

I am stock rooted on art so no rom or xposed for me. I use lmt launcher for pie controls, gmd auto hide soft keys from play store, light manager from play store for led control, and lux auto brightness from play store for display brightness.

[Q] CM Quick Settings Ribbon

Is there a version of a CM based ROM newer than Android 4.1.2 that has the same type of quick settings ribbon that CM 10.0.0 has? I prefer the older version of the quick settings ribbon, specifically, I really like being able to change the brightness between customizable brightness levels at the touch of a button. As opposed to pressing the button, then having to move the brightness bar.
To clarify:
In CM 10.0.0, you can have various toggle buttons (wifi, mobile data, brightness etc) show up on a quick settings ribbon in the notification drawer. Pressing these toggles them on off or between settings. For brightness you can have multiple toggles set for different levels of brightness (0-100%) and these are toggled between by just pressing the button.
In newer versions of CM the brightness toggle in the quick settings ribbon is changed so that if you press it the brightness slider shows up and you toggle it that way, this adds and extra step and is less convenient when in situations where the screen is too dark to see.
I’ve tried multiple versions of CM based ROMs, but all of them had the newer type of quick settings ribbon that I do not like. It is literally the only new feature that I don’t like. I want to update because I prefer the newer versions of the keyboard, clock, and various other settings.
Also slightly off topic: are newer versions ROMs better for battery life and/or performance? Or does is that generally not affected? Obviously if I am using more new features at once I will have less battery, but if I do the same old thing as before is it more efficient with my battery?
As far as I know you're stuck with the newer style brightness setting on the newer versions of the ROM. I haven't flashed a recent version of CM but I'm pretty sure it has the status bar brightness slider option where you slide your finger horizontally along the status bar to adjust the brightness. That's only one step total to adjust your brightness.
Battery performance has been improved on later versions of most ROMs.

Status bar brightness slider

Hello, I'm looking for a mod that adds the option of setting brightness by sliding across the status bar. To clarify, this is not the same as a brightness slider in the notification panel. You literally slide on the status bar with out having to pull anything down first. It's a crucial feature for me since I go in and out of the Sun a lot during the day. Thanks!
Viper ROM has it as an option so I know it is compatible with Sense roms. I'm running CleanRom now.
Tried GravityBox xposed module and it has the option but when I enable it, it doesn't actually go into effect...
Are you running the Kitkat version of it? Also you shouldn't even need to do this, the auto screen brightness adjustment on this phone is quite good and should adjust it properly for you even quicker than the status bar slider mod you're looking for can.

Yes, I was using KitKat version. The JB version won't even install on a KK phone...
I'd use Auto Brightness if I could set the lower limit to go all the way down to 0% but I can't find settings to customize that. Do you know an Xposed module that can?
In case you were wondering how to set the maximum automatic brightness level
A Google Search:
From the Home screen, tap > Settings > Display & gestures or Display, gestures & buttons. With the Automatic brightness option selected, drag the slider to set the maximum brightness level. This sets a limit on how bright the screen will be when Automatic brightness is selected.
Great answers.
How can one add this feature?

[Q] Android 5.1 + Lightflow + Notification LED

Since upgrading to 5.1 (custom AOSP build) - the notification LED flashes for any notification (fine...) but the LightFlow settings only appear to take note when I turn the screen on then off which kinda defeats the point of using LightFlow (Different colours tell me what notification it is).
I thought I could just disable the "Pulse notification light" setting but that also kills LightFlow completely.
Any tips how to get the LED to stop flashing for all notifications and let LightFlow do what it's supposed to? (non-rooted)

Light Manager is superior. Different colors works there.

Navigation Bar Color

Hi All,
This is my first time using 1+ and noticed that I can't change the nav bar color. I tried to use the NavBar app on the playstore, but the setting doesn't stick for home screen using Nova. Anyone know how to change it?
Would also like to know. Sometimes it's dark, sometimes it's light. Hate the inconsistency!
I'd rather just have it be black all the time until they can add fast app switching and swiping up on the right side for recents as options to gestures.
It appears they have made the default navbar colour white, which is incredibly annoying.
Guys, use gestures options! The only missing feature with gestures is the lack of fast switching to the latest recent app, yes...

"Just use the device in a different manner" is not a valid response to "I'd prefer the ability to x".

Slide/drag status bar to adjust brightness on s10e?

Hi all,
I recently acquired an S10E phone, and I was wondering if there was the ability to adjust brightness by sliding/dragging my finger on the (top) status bar of the phone.
I had a phone with Pixel ROM which could do this. This feature was called "Brightness control" in the settings.
Anyway so I guess Stock Android has this but is this available on stock Samsung? I couldn't find it.
Instead, I found this app on Google Play "Super Status Bar" which helps me do this. But it doesn't seem to work while in landscape mode (which sucks if I want to quickly adjust brightness on YT app.
Any help would be greatly appreciated... Not sure if this forum is dead now!
