Hi anyone else having issues with PC game streaming after installing OTA 65 and the new geforce experience?
streaming steam games worked really well for me before the update, now since the update 80% of the time when i try to launch steam in my shield, it either says cannot find steam or cannot launch steam.
pretty frustrated with this as I was really enjoying streaming games to my shield and being able to play on the couch or in bed.
Same problem here after updating today. SO ANNOYED. Help!
I'm also having the same issue...
Updated to GFE 1.8 and streaming stopped working. There's also no tab for Streaming in the options/settings.
I've removed/installed several times GFE 1.7 and 1.8, removed driver, reinstalled, rebooted PC/Shield, factory reset Shield, etc... Nothing helped.
There's a lot of people with the same issue:
https://forums.geforce.com/default/...after-update-65-and-geforce-experience-1-8/2/
When trying to install the 1.8 update, it failed. I had to manually kill/remove the process/service of NvStream. IMHO, this last version sucks big time.
My specs:
- Windows 8.1 Pro X64
- Core i7 [email protected],66Ghz
- GTX 650 Ti
- 16GB DDR3
- Asus RT-N16 (Tomato Firmware v1.28.7503 MIPSR2Toastman-RT K26 USB VPN)
Thanks,
António.

Hey Guys!
I finally decided to pick up a Shield and now I am in awe and a little lost!
I got the NVIDIA Game Streaming working fine and I got Splashtop THD sideloaded. I also have Splashtop 2 installed - I am familiar enough with the two to get things going. The issue I am having is, playing games (like Skyrim or Dragon Age) in fullscreen. It either crashes the app or gives me a warning the it cannot support fullscreen games. My PC has 2x 780 GTX graphics cards running in SLI with two monitors connected. I tried disabling SLI and netted the same results. I am not sure it matters, but I am also running Windows 8.1.
My question is, can I do anything to allow fullscreen games or am I stuck in windowed only?
Things I have tried are:
Splashtop 2 and Splashtop GamePad THD
Disabling SLI
Disabling 1 screen
Geforce Optimization on and Off withing Splashtop
I have the latest drivers, I did try two older drivers as well.
PC:
780 GTX SLI
Windows 8.1
i7 3770K
2x 1080p displays
Any help is much appreciated. I Googled until my fingers were tired and my head was exploding. Most items I found were dated 2012 or earlier. I found one from January of last year. Surely things have changed since then? Anyway - please let me know. If there are any alternatives, I am open to exploration. Just from what I read, Splashtop is the best? If so which version? THD or 2? Does it matter?
Thanks again for your help!
So you also tried the shields native game stream also?

Yes and that works fine.
I am trying splashtop for games that are not natively supported. The issue I am having is that I get the error "splashtop streamer does not support direct screen access...". It has the nvidia optimized logo. I tried every registry change I could find by googling today. I also tried (again) a single card, no sli, and a single monitor.
This is driving me nuts ! haha I see so many talking about doing it but no way to replicate it....I will gladly tip someone if they help me get this working (via PayPal).
Thanks

On every game I have tried so far - which is about 15 games. And I checked the excel sheet in this forum as a guide!
Still have not resolved this =/
Ok guys, heres the deal:
received my shield today, after an hour i was ready to go with all updates and stuff installed.
Installed also the newer beta drivers, 337.50 and GeForce Experience 2.0.
So whenver i launch a game in steam, i can hear audio on my shield, but screen is black. Game is playing fine on my monitor naturally.
Ive tried so far:
- reinstall drivers
- reinstall GeFoEx
- reboot pc and shield
A few games that are outside steam seems to load and play fine, but 2 OUTSIDE OF 300.
I understand that some games arent supported, but im talking about games that are supposed to work, such Borderlands 2 and Grid 2.
Please help? has anyone experienced such issue?
are you on a notebook?
No, im on a desktop. Im about to throw this thing out of the window if i dont understand what is happening. Everything is a black screen, but i hear audio.
Did you try this?

Nah, it wasnt it.
Turns out that it was the displaylink drivers i was using for my external usb monitors, that in someway interferee with shield streaming.
Once unistalled, it was all good.
After the new update steam no longer shows up in the list of things to stream.
I've tried adding it in the gamestream preferences on my computer but it doesn't work.
Does anyone have steam streaming working on the new update?
I would really hate to have to add each individual game since I have 226 installed.
EDIT: A bunch of games( portal 2, gta iv, mirrors edge and a few others) are now closing when I try to play them.
There's no error or anything. Really hoping this gets fixed or i'm just gonna go back to the previous version.
I am having some trouble getting Moonlight to work on my PC. I have had it working before, but now when I go into my GeForce Experience - there isn't the "SHIELD" tab for all of the network streaming options. Did Nvidia remove this tab in the preference Window? Is it still possible for me to stream to my android device?
Some information about my PC:
Windows 10 Home
Intel Core i7-4770k @ 4.1 GHz
16 GB Kingston HyperX RAM
MSI GTX 970 Gaming 100ME
Nvidia GeForce Experience: v 2.10.2.40
Driver Version: 364.51
I have already tried uninstalling and reinstalling GeForce Experience (including rolling back to a previous version) and I can't get it to work. Thanks for any help in advance!
same issue for me
Hey guys - When I first installed fortnite android I was able to play a few games no problem! However I stopped playing for a few weeks and I tried playing again - it's unplayable! Lags to the point the screen freezes. I'm wondering if it's since android Pie was released for OnePlus 6 - I'm running latest stable ROM no root etc.
Basically I was wondering if anyone else has this issue or any tips to fix it? I've tried restarting and clearing ram etc but seeing as this phone has 6gb & latest snapdragon I'd be surprised if it was that!
Thanks in advance!
