I' having this issue with Default keyboard double-space period feature not working. I cleaned the cache and data of Google keyboard and enabled and disabled it many times but no luck. I have 2 input languages and even if i set only one it does the same.
Anyone else with this issue? Any idea how to deal with this
Thanks

I know it's not much help, but I have English and Russian input language along with voice typing and mine works fine. Have you tried installing a new keyboard, enabling that, then removing it to go back to stock. Tricking the phone.

Are you unlocked or rooted?
If so, you uninstall the system apk for the google keyboard and reinstall it. If you go that route, copy that apk so you can install it again.

That's a system app and it won't let me uninstall it, only disable.

You have to use any kind of root browser or something like Titanium Backup to do so.

That's bizarre - I'd say stick to something that works then like SwiftKey.

Hey guys, I could use a little help. I tried flashing the new Cognition 4, and I got an error at line 12. No biggie, just flash to stock. When I got TiBu (paid version) and went to re-remove all the AT&T bloatware...they no longer appear in TiBu. The apps are still on my phone, and all work, but I can't seem to remove them again. Any ideas on what I should do?

Thanks! I guess the problem was an older version of Busybox. I updated from 1.6.1 that comes with TiBu to 1.7 and viola...they appeared in the list, and I deleted them.
Now, if I could ony get TiBu to restore my Quickoffice app that came on the phone, was backed up, but will not restore for some reason...

I bought the swift key 3 keyboard in the amazon app store a while back and I'm trying to use it again but when I go to install it and open it it says "Unfortunately, Swift Key 3 has stopped." I can still use the key board but everytime I use it I get a notification that tells me to continue with setup. I've tried reinstalling, clearing cache, reinstalling the amazon app store even. Nothing has worked. HELP!:crying:
Depends what rom you are running. Swiftkey works fine on Synergy Rev 64.
What are you using? Im running paranoid 2.20 and swift key 3 is running like a champ

If you are totally stock with stock recovery you can backup setup with My Backup including home screens. Reset then try Swiftkey. If it works restore backup . Everything except Swiftkey or everything except app data.

He bought it from amazon not the play store....
In the future do not ever buy an app from amazon that is available on the play store. Amazon does not push updates as frequently as google, and alot of thier apps, though claiming to be the same, are actually modified slightly to be amazon/android compatible. Words with friends is a great example. Exact same version #, but amazon one has different menu options and operates slower.

Uninstalling and buying from the play store seemed to fix it. F U Amazon!
Hi, Guys,
I'm using P5110, with CM 9.
Everything was fine at the beginning, but din't know since when, it takes forever to uninstall any app, taking more than 10 minutes in many cases.
Sometimes, rebooting the tab would help to get the app uninstalled, but it is ridiculous to do so every time before uninstalling apps.
Any idea how to solve this?
Thanks!

Hi, Jxt,
Thanks for your attention.
The rom I am on is: [4.0.4] CyanogenMod 9, downloaded from:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1722099
Yes, my tab is rooted.
Hope it won't require complete system re-flashing rom, 'cause when thinking of flashing rom and installing, setting all the apps, it drives me mad.

Try going into recovery and wiping cache? NOT Factory !!

I've just wiped cache, but sorry it doesn't work, problem remains.
Anything else to try?
P.S.
I've installed FREE MY APPS before, and therefore, have install/uninstall many apps on this tab, but months ago, I've stopping doing this and removed all the staff, including FREE MY APPS.
Maybe during that period, some mess was done to the system?

The only thing i would say to try now is flashing a different rom, i recommend Pacman roms.

I assume you are trying to uninstall from your Setting/Apps.
What happens if you log into the Playstore App and try to uninstall apps from there?

Problem finaly solved wihout having to reflash rom, or even switch rom!
All credit goes to a miracle app: SDmaid !
After trying wiping cache, and using several apps to clean the trash files (some tools did clean hundred MB of trash files) without any help, I tried SDmaid.
It further cleaned out tons of trash files, and right after that, it takes only few seconds to uninstall apps, work like charm!

Hey guys,
I got my nexus 5 a couple of weeks back and was very happy about it. I installed all my favorite apps and they just installed fine. Then when I tried to install Apex Launcher ( which is my primary launcher in all my devices), play store gave me error -24. I tried this over and over again but alas! No change. Is this a common problem everyone is experiencing? Is there a possible solution to this (not involving rooting or wiping data)? I have not experienced this problem with any other app.
Thanks in advance.
Cheers,
Night

I tried it and it doesn't work.
Did you try "clear data" button for play store ? It's in the app list. Or you could try remove it in the recent app menu. Error -24 sometimes hits me and that's how I fix it.

you didn't follow the post completely, if none of this is working factory reset is your last option.
Will this work?
I just had one last idea. Would flashing the 4.4.2 update via adb fix the problem? If not, I guess its backup and wipe then.
I have root and everything, but the problem is when I select to restore the backup, a popup appears saying that Titanium Backup has stopped working or something like that, then it force closes . Any ideas?

I have the same problem. running M preview 3 with Hellscore kernel. You can install the app via the play store and use TB to restore data. It is a pain but at least you get your app and data back.

So you say that if I install every app individually and then use Titanium Backup only to restore the data of the apps, it will work?
