My sd card was working perfectly upon till last night when my batery died, I plugged in my charger and turned on the phone and walked away. About 5 mins later I returned to find my charger unplugged amd my s2 off (dead battery), upon restarting again I realized that my sd card is not being detected.......
My bet is that when it was in the process of the 1st boot up and the memory card was loading the charger was unplugged accidentally and the phone shut off cause the sd card to crash!!
Can someone help me!!!! So many important stuff on that sd card.
Pc doesnt detect it either so I cant get to format. And im unable to mount it with the phone

My TF doesn't recognize microsd cards that are inserted when it is powered on, even if the previous card was correctly unmounted first. I have to restart the TF, then it will recognize the card.
I have the latest FW from the Asus site.
Does anyone else have this problem?
Anyone? I'm starting to wonder if my TF is defective.
I do not have this issue. I swapped a couple of microSD cards and it would read both, detect when one is inserted and taken out.
Have you tried updating the firmware to see if that resolves the issue?
It's not defective. It's Asus' workaround so that we even have a working microsd slot, until honeycomb gets the official update. So for now you will have to restart each time to get it recognised, if you have this problem. It probably depends on the type of card you have too.
I've had it not recognize my microsd card a couple times. Though all I had to do was wait a few seconds before popping it back in and it read it fine after the 2nd or 3rd try.
It make take reformatting the card. I had this issue until I reformatted the card.

Seen the same.
I've seen this behavior on my TF also. Sometimes I just wait a little bit before i try to put it back in. I've also noticed that if i took the card out and then proceeded to transfer huge amounts of files, when i put it back in the card will mount properly. I suspect this has something to do with the tablet going completely in to sleep and resetting the card state hence becoming responsive to card insertion after a an extended amount of time.

Hello, earlier today i unplugged my sensation from the chrager a few minutes later, random shutdown, then i tried to turn it back on it stayed on for a few minutes but my battery dropped from 30% to 5% just now i took out my sd card and the problem vanished does anyone suggest i should format my sd card or should i try another ROM? i also have SD card from my galaxy S im thinking about putting that in and seeing if it shuts down
it definitely sounds like you need to format your sd card.
being that the roms and probably some apps are stored on it and thats where you pull them from to install could be why you have such instability.
try formatting it then try your other card.
Hello all!
I have a 4GB Micro SD card, that came with my mother's old phone and worked fine. I found it and put it in my phone, but after a few days it appears to android as "DAMAGED" all of a sudden. My phone is HTC Desire Z. It happened after I formatted it to delete a load of pictures my brother had taken after he went on my phone (hes young lol!) When I use something like USB Mass Storage, it will happen then, after reboots it happens, all different times. I have checked it in Windows, I have done slow formats on it, (I have yet to try formatting it under my linux system, hoping this will do the trick) I have done everything. Please help me as I dont want to have to buy a new one just yet!
Thanks, Will.
Just Got My LG G3 D850 (Unlocked) Version From Ebay.in 3 Days Back
It Worked Fine Until I Inserted Micro SD Card in It. When I Inserted MicroSD It Kept on Restarting Even Though I Removed Card and Kept on Restarting Removed Battery But It Resist To Turn On Nothing Happened on Holding Power Button
I Connected It To Charger and Booted up Fine
I Thought It Could Be Issue With My SD Card So Tried With Another Card But Same Issue Persists.
Decided To Use It Without Micro SD and It Worked Absolutely Fine For About 24 Hours Until I Inserted Microsd Again and It Did The Same Thing
Restart - Lock Screen (5 Secs ) and Restart - I Removed Micro SD and It Kept on DOing Same Thing
Had To Remove Battery and Reinsert It
Plugged In Charger and Its Booted Fine.
Its Not Covered Under Warranty So Have To Live With It
Would Be Really Glad If Anyone Could Help Me
Microsd Which Were Used
Strontium Nitro 466X 32 GB
Samsung Pro Series 32 GB
Other Than That Issue Phone Works Absolutely Fine . Just Minor Heating on The Buttons at The Back
Running Stock Android 4.4.2 Rooted
Update:
Just Tried To Turn It Off Manually and Turn it On
But Same Thing Repeated It Restarted 10-12 Times and Finally Booted Up
Went to check some photos on my phone, the ext SD card is MIA?
Pulled it out, put it back in, still no go. Popped the card into the adapter
to shove it in my computer. Everything shows up fine on that?
Any ideas? Rebooting didn't seem to do anything either.
This card is about 6 years old, on it's 4th phone. Maybe it's just worn out
contact wise?
TIA
