Only stock boot.img works - HTC One SV

Hey people, you brainiacs seem to be my last hope.
Been flashing Saturn III on my SV with TWRP and flashed, as the dev stated to do, the boot.img in fastboot.
After rebooting, it stucked on the HTC-Logo with white background till i removed the battery.
Then I tried flashing back the stock boot.img Link: ht tp://fs1.d-h.st/download/00084/DMf/boot.img
With that one it boots n all works fine but the WLAN.
So yeah.. all devs tell to flash the boot.img to get WLAN to work, but if I do so, the whole phone wont start anymore.
Already tried with Saturn III and "my slim rom" from this site.
Here are my phone specs:
K2_U PVT SHIP S-ON RL
HBOOT-2.21.0000
RADIO-1.18.40a.00.05
OpenDSP-v13.2.0268.0620
OS- (with the stock boot.img it shows the OSrev)
eMMc-boot 1024
What I would need is a 4.1.2 OS, stock or slightly modded
Has somebody got any solution for me?
Alot thanks in advance

Strange, as you are S-On, you must flash the boot.img.
You can try to use the boot.img, you will find in this thread.

Thanks for the fast reply.
Yeah, pretty strange..
Tried that boot.img - same effect.
want me to flash that kernel's .zip too?
forgot to tell you: Ofc I'm HTCDev unlocked.

yeah i did.

And explain in a little more detail of what the exact issues are, we will be able to assist you better.
Just so I can get a better grasp(visualization) of what's going on.

You already did the OTA to 422, as i see on your hboot.
Maybe there is the problem.
But if stock kernel boots, but only wifi not working, try to flash this zip from recovery (boot.img for fastboot).
It's stock k2u kernel and the needed libs for Wifi.

hmmm.. what else could i tell you..
Flashing works all fine, i get success when i'm flashing a ROM and sucess when flashing the boot.img via fastboot.
The only thing is when I'm flashing the boot.img of the ROMs, the device won't boot and only show the HTC-logo on white background and never boot (waited a hour already).
The boot.img that i linked to seems to be the only one thats working.. (maybe someone could have a look on what makes that one so special?)
Result in usint that working boot.img on the ROMS is a non-working WLAN.
Please tell me if there is any other specific thing you need to know, as I dont know anything else to write atm.

You flashed a 4.2 rom? Or a 4.1?

Do me a favor
Go into twrp recovery and wipe
System
Cache
Data
Dalvik cache
Then flash rom again
Then reboot bootloader
Then flash the boot.img from inside the ROM
fastboot flash boot boot.img
and reboot....

Isn't Saturn III based on 4.1.2??? Wouldnt that cause a conflict with 4.2.2 since the kernel is found in the boot.img? Like trying to crossbreed a dog and a cat?

I'm running old.splatterhand's Saturn III ROM which is 4.1.2 afaik.
Tried the kernel + boot.img you linked me, old.splatterhand. Still stuck on the HTC logo...
I'm at the end of my ideas..

I'm skimming through these right now cuz I'm at work still ha!

I already tried the kernel of post #7.

@russellvone @old.splatterhand
Correct me if I am wrong. Just going on a hunch. Saturn III is based on 4.1.2. @fwaqo is currently on 4.2.2. So would he not need to downgrade in a sense as far as the necessary partitions (images) would be needed in order for this Rom to comply without complications? Mainly, thinking on the matter of the kernel which is found in the boot.img which is technically a build for the 4.1.2 and not 4.2.2...... Just throwing something up in the air. Take it or bash it. Either way, I still love you guys HAHA!

It may be possible that you received an updated radio with 4.2.2?
The radio may not be compatible?
Why not stay on 4.2.2 rom?

I've updated(we all have) with OTA and are still able to flash "downgraded" ROMs with out issue, as long as we flash the correct boot.img.
I think it's possible that maybe he received an updated radio that might interfere with the booting process???

Well, then the solution to the radio would be to grab his previous one from his previous ota and flashed that radio and redue the process...

I flashed back from 4.2.2 to 4.1.2 cause I like the design of 4.1.2 alot more. But I can try if it works with a 4.2.2 custom rom and it's boot.img. Is there any stable rom already?

[Q] Cyanogenmod in bootloop, clockwork mod not loading properly. please help!

So I flashed CM7 on my D2G and after the reboot I tried to boot into my clockworkmod recovery to wipe the data so the bootloop would end, but when i hold power/x I get the little android guy with the exclamation point in a triangle above him but when i press the magnifier/search button nothing happens. I know that all I need to do to make the rom work is wipe my data. so how would I go about doing that without having to reflash with sbf and everything? is there a way to fix my clockwork mod? or another way to erase my data?
First, you cannot enter CWM like that.
Power + X takes you to the stock recovery; on 4.5.x, you need to press the volume buttons together to enter it, not the hardware keyboard's Search button.

I know that this is anancient thread, but i decided to take a crack at mt D2G today and successfully rooted it and was able to get to the bootstrap recovery, but after installing the cm7 and gapps, the darn thing is just stuck at the red m screen indefinitely. I let it sit there for about 5 min, and to avoid having my battery die, i pulled it and started reading. I really dont wanna sbf it (if i really dont have to) and i need to get to clockwork recovery. Any suggestions?

only thing fishy is how verizon/motorola changed the unlock codes, so that some d2gs can not be unlocked, most still can be unlocked, there is atleast 3 different code generating algorithms, you may need to try all 3, but the 1st one works for most

all 3 of these should work, if first code does not work, only retry it 1 more time, then request a different code or a refund.
you have a limited number of tries before you get locked out, so don't waste them on a code that doesn't work

If CM10 is anything like Synergy it does a check for the bootloader being unlocked and if it is locked still it skips installing the kernel. The rest of it goes along fine.

Radios??

Hi there. Recently my shift has been amazingly slow. In areas that I used to be able to download at very fast speeds, I'm getting 6.1 kB/s. That's not reasonable, especially because I use my phone heavily. I researched this problem and saw that it may be a problem with my radio being old. Could anyone refer me to a guide to flashing radios? And will the radios be compatible with my rom? I'm running CM7.2 RC3. Thank you in advance.

That's a ton of work for a radio. The shifts radios aren't tied to your hboot so just extracting the radio and making a PGzip and flashing it in bootloader makes the most since if your s-off.. It's dangerous like anything flashed from bootloader but that should be common sense to any rooted user.
IF YOU DO THIS, DO SO AT YOUR OWN RISK,AND DONT BLAME ME FOR BRICKS.understand what your doing before you do it

Yeah I realized that there is a much easier way to do it...theres a rooted version of the 2.77.651.8 update floating around somewhere, just get that zip, rename to PG06IMG.zip and put it on the root of your sdcard (then reboot to bootloader to install). When it's done installing just reboot, then boot into recovery and flash your CM7 rom again.
EDIT: The rooted stock is HERE
Thank you for the help. But also, what are the things that can go wrong? It's my first time flashing a radio and I do not want to brick my phone at any cost.

Okay to get the radio don't use my posted ota.
Your going to need the RUU.exeand windows and once it's downloaded open it up, but don't touch anything open run from start menu and type %temp% and it will open a window with the temp location of the RUU. Grab ROM.zip and drag it to your desktop and close the window and RUU. Inside ROM.zip is the radio hboot system.img boot.img ect. Thats where i would get the radio. Then make your PGzip and flash from bootloader. The risk of bricking is when you flash a radio not meant for your device or if it's corrupt so be careful and read read and read to be sure of of what your doing

Ah ok, I didn't actually download it and see myself, but I was suggesting that he install it through the bootloader by making a PG06IMG, not through recovery btw.
I don't know what the actual format of the rooted stock you posted is, but I probably should have checked.

Um aren't the actual radios posted here in the Shift forum? Or are they 404'd? Cuz I got em if somebody really needs em.

I was considering just flashing the radio as shown by VICODAN on that post of his. Will that be okay? It's annoying dealing with this amazingly slow connection.

Finally! Got it working. Had problems with adb not recognizing my device. Fixed that with driver updates with htc sync. Then pushed PGO6IMG.zip from adb and rebooted bootloader, applied update, and hello 500 kB/s. Thank you to all of you. Question answered.

No problem, glad you got it working. I know what it's like to have crappy data speeds... I lived somewhere for 3 months where I only got 2G lol

[Q] this device does not have proper root access

hi,
I just rooted my HOX, and installed cynagenmod 10.1 , i unlocked the boot loader and install the custom rom through CWM as given on the internet everywhere , but when i try to run titanium backup it says not properly rooted, and when i checked from a root checker it says DEVICE NOT PROPER ROOT ACCESS, i read some where and download the SU bin and arm file and flashed them through CWM in recovery mode , and also flashed the bin first and then the other other file , but when i run TB it gives the same error.
Please help
Thanks in advance
Are you sure that it's CM10.1? Try enabling developer settings by going into about and tapping build number a bunch of times. I've never heard of this before.

Try flashing with TWRP instead, I've heard CWM has had problems in the past.

Forget any advice you've been given in this thread. Like I said, you're in the wrong forum and need to go to the correct forum for your device.

Texts taking long time to send sometimes

My G2 sometimes takes a long time to send texts. It isn't AT&T related since my nexus 5 has no issue. I don't think it's ROM related since it does it across all ROMs. However, I don't know if it does it on stock ROM. I don't think it does though. It's been a while since I've been on it.
Any ideas? APN? LTE? modem?

There's a patched modem in the at&t development thread that works wonders. I'm using it now.

I didn't have any issues. Mine changed. I used Philz recovery though. I just made sure I verified the md5 with a file explorer.
Ill try with philz and report back
What rom and kernel are you using?

I'm sorry then. I don't know. I am on stock 20k. Dori kernel right now. But was on stock kernel when I flashed.
Oh.....im on cloudyg3 with dori kernel too
Ive used this same patch that was mentioned earlier in the post...im on stock rooted 20k and it works awesome. Not sure if the new 20y fixes the problem....but guess we'll have to wait and see if someone can make a flashable version.

Contrary to what you believe, it IS AT&T.
I have had a number of phones that all behaved the same way on AT&T's network.
Some pages come pretty quickly, and others take up to an hour to show up.
Friends on Sprint or Verizon have no such issue, generally.
