I have this case for about 6 months now and I love it! The keyboard is removable so if you dont need it for the day, take it out and the case is a wee bit slimmer. Best case for the price on Amazon! And it is build very well. The magnets that hold the keyboard are strong but over powering and does not mess with the screen at all. The keyboard does have an auto off feature if you leave it turned on. Just hit a button a few time when ready to use it again to wake it up. Once again GREAT CASE!

I personally love the zaggkeys I just bought this monday. My tablet now feels like a small but powerful notebook. It's got the best of all worlds. The only issue is, I can't disable the onscreen keyboard. Does anyone know if all bluetooth keyboards have this problem?

I'm using Zaggkeys too, really very useful. I installed "null input method" and problem solved.
I'm curious. Can this case be "backward folded", where the back of the tablet lays flat on the keyboard?

I have the same question. Can you fold the Zagg 180, so the Keyboard is on the back of the tablet.
Dave
This is what I'm using. So far after a month I like it, it's thin and has pretty good battery life. It turns the screen on and off when opening and closing.

In particular, the barely there case from case mate? Just wondering, might get one!
Also, I got that case a while ago, any better ones? The case mate is nice, but a bit snapped off just above the volume rocker, and in the corners from flexing to get the case off.
Thanks
Any help? Thanks!

The desktop dock Samsung sell, can you use it with a case on it, like the Barely There Casemate?

No, the Samsung dock won't work with the CaseMate Barely There, it won't work with any case...

So I received my Nexus 4 Bumper today. I was using the Ringke Slim case which was a defective because of the warping of the side near the volume button. Also today I received the replacement for the slim case so I decided to make a faceplate to add onto the bumper. The back is nice with its patterned dots but for now I am going for protection until there are better screen protectors out there.
Decided to cut the defective case to be a faceplate for the back of my phone. Still experimenting how much to cut the side but this is what I have. Some problems so far is that it gives it an extra thickness to what Google originally had for the bumper. So when holding the phone on the edge it has this popping feel. If I cut more of the side of the case this might eliminate the problem. You still get the lipped edge around the screen. Buttons still work but I didn't get the nice satisfying click. But I will work with the sides of the faceplate again
Thought I would share this even though it might seem useless a bit
Make sure Apple doesnt steal this design:beer:

Well I was experimenting with it too much and cut the case where it doesn't fit as nicely compared to before. You need some kind of edge around so it doesn't simply fall out of the bumper. Just experiment as you go and place the faceplate then your phone in
Interesting.... and looks very nice to the very least haha. I would totally buy this if it was a case
sounds like a plan

No-one as of yet.
Hence why I was enquiring
I emailed diztronic about it and they said 0.35mm is too thin and would probably tear
Hopefully someone comes out with one.
Whaaat?
Its never stopped people making them before?
They feel tough, considering the thinness of them
skin thin?

Just received mine in the mail so........Mini review!
Aesthetics:
Its a pretty simple case, not too flashy. The whole case is made of TPU, the back part is matte and while smooth doesn't appear to be too slippery, while the bumper portion fully surrounds the sides of the phone, is fully transparent and has a nice rubbery grippy feel. The nexus 4 back design is not really visible through the back of the case. However, the nexus logo itself can be seen albeit slightly muted. While it does add a little bulk to the phone, its pretty minimal while providing decent protection for day to day use.
Function:
There are appropriate cut-outs for both the and bottom mics, the speaker, the camera and the charging port. The volume and power buttons have these built in pushable sections which protrude slightly outside the case and allow you to press the buttons down. I found that the power button sometimes took a little bit of effort to press, however the volume buttons are perfectly fine. I don't have access to a wireless charger so I can't comment on whether that works or not, but it detects NFC tags just fine.
Protection:
For the front , the added lip should mean that placing your phone face-down will elevate it slightly and provide some protection. The bumper portion provides as good protection as any TPU case around the sides of the phone. The back is also fully covered so this should protect from scratches and minor bumps although I'm not sure how good the drop protection will be (this is obviously not a super heavy duty case).
Pictures:
I don't have a camera at the moment but I'll see what I can do. Pictures added. Apologies for the shoddy camera work, using my roommate's Nexus S.
Still no sign by the looks of it
Perhaps one of these? The description says 0.5mm though.

He guys/gals I have been using a Holster to carry my Note 8.0 and my old Galaxy Tab Plus 7. This is the best way to carry the Note without it getting in the way and still have room for your cash, pens and wallet! Check out eHolster! I sometimes get weird looks but nobody says anything and cops don't even bother you, nor does TSA.
This works with a lot of cases also. I have a Leather case with a removable Bluetooth keyboard I got from Amazon. Is a tight fit but it works just fine with the Holster. The case is awesome! Fits the Note just perfect. The holder has velcro to keep the Note nice and snug. The keyboard has really good key stroke and it has an auto off when not in use. But if you are not going to use the keyboard go ahead and turn it off. The auto connect only takes a hot sec once turned back on.

Great find!
I've been looking for this exact thing.
Have you tried wearing a jacket over it?
I sometimes where suits and I'd be interested in knowing how it fits under a jacket.

depends on two things imo:
1. the inner pocket size, mine fits even with Samsung cover on it, but it's a matter of millimeters - few less and no-go,
2. your height - for me (I'm tall) it makes no problems when carrying in inner pocket (well, basketball is out of the question), but I guess shorter persons might have some discomfort with tablet pressing against ribcage and restricting freedom of movement
best way is to check for yourself
PS. Seems I completely misunderstood the question - you were asking how jacket fits over holster, not how tablet fits in the jacket, right? Anyway, I'll leave what I wrote, maybe it'll be of some use for somebody...

Thanks, yeah I'm thinking of wearing it under a jacket.
I really like this concept, I had looked at some other attempts at doing this that were not as good.
It may not be an all day/every day solution, but I could see myself using this very often.

I am going to purchase my Surface 2 RT on saturday. I was wondering do I have to purchase the touch 2 or type 2 covers or will the covers for the first surface work also? I am on a budget and the covers for the 2 are more expensive so I was wondering.
Old covers work on the new surfaces as well.

Type cover 2 has keyboard backlighting, a trackpad made of feltish material rather than the plastic material found on Type cover 1, and is a teeny bit thinner. As for Touch cover 2, it also has backlighting, as well as a lot more sensors on the keys than the Type cover 1, increasing the sensitivity of the keyboard
Yep, the backlights are the main feature, although both covers are also a bit thinner than their original versions. The Touch 2 is also a lot more accurate (I'm not sure I'd say "sensitive" so much as that it has a better idea of where your finger was and hence can guess what word you actually meant and learn the way you type, much like a phone or tablet on-screen-keyboard).
Thanks for the replies. I have a Motorola KZ500 Bluetooth Keyboard and Trackpad. Hopefully it works with the surface 2 until I can justify buying the type 2 cover.
That should work fine as an input device.
You also may be able to find gen1 covers for cheap. Heck, I'd consider selling you mine to offset the cost of buying a gen2...
Hmm I was thinking about just saving up for the gen 2 type cover but how much would you be willing to sell your gen 1? And is it the touch or type and what color?

Touch, black, used but good condition. I'd need to look at the going rate for them, but I'd be willing to cut a bit of a deal for an XDA member. PM me if you want to make me an offer; the public forum probably isn't the best place.
