Anyone know how to get rid of the shadows? I'm on Nova, but it's not the Nova shadow.

You mean the shading at the top/bottom of the screen? That's a KitKat feature so you'd need to edit the system files to remove it

is there a nexus one type launcher that will work on a 2.1 rom? something other than helix or launcher2? im looking for just a 3-5 screen plain launcher.
Helix can do 3-5 screens and is pretty plain.

yeah i don't like helix, the launcher tab is too small and you cant minimize the drawer without hitting the back button.

yeah i did and it cased some force closes, probably because it's a beta.

Why dont you just take one of the many Android launchers and skin it to look like a Nexus launcher? Then it looks exactly how you want it, and its completely stable...
what app fc the launcher. lol i havent had a single anything go wrong with it. the fact that its an modd com.android.launcher... makes it far more stable then a home replacement..i think.idk might be talking out my a**.

can anybody port this nexus one themed home launcher to 2.1? it is currently for 1.5 based roms but it's exactly what i want. i tired to port it and it wouldn't work after i pushed the apk.

Running CM10 nightly evita from a couple nights ago, but the problem is more my fault so that shouldn't be a problem. There should be a screenshot. Notice the conspicuous absence of a very important button from the dock. Sorry to bug anyone.

Nope just stock Jellybean pretty much. The clock is a uccw widget. I just rebooted though and it came back, so all good. Thanks anyway :good:

I'm rooted using Kangabean. I changed the DPI to 400. Widgets look a little strange. How do I change the grid size of the default launcher? I don't want to use a different launcher. I don't want to lose Google Now and the active listening abilities.

You will have to wait for a modified stock launcher or a rom with that feature for that bro, you can`t change the grid in the stock launcher afaik. Look here for a mod http://forum.xda-developers.com/google-nexus-5/themes-apps when its available.

So I'm rooted and enjoying the freedom but have a few other questions.
Has anyone installed a custom launcher (Nova) yet? What has been your experience?
If I install a Nova launcher do I lose all the Sense widgets, etc? what are the downsides?

If you use BlinkFeed you can't get that on a custom launcher (no way that I know of at least) and you also can't use HTC widgets.

okay, thanks. I'm really not liking the square app folder icons. I'm so used to the round, stacked view. Is there anyway to change the folder previews with the stock launcher?

There not so bad if you make them transparent. I believe the stock launcher is the best. My opinion of course.

Well I posted this way....this makes folders clock/weather. Pretty much everything on home screen...Make a backup 1st. ? incase you don't like it you can just restore back.

I've tried all three but no go. I really want to just use google launcher, so if anyone knows how to modify the app drawer open and closing speed let me know!
