we know the monkey king 2 is thl t100, but i can't find any information on thl official site, instead of t100, i find thl t100s on official, i thought it is t100 firstly, then i find it is different from t100.
official site thl t100s support 2G:GSM 900/1800MHz, 3G:WCDMA 850/2100MHz, with 2700mAh battery.
there are many "version" about t100 on other online stores,
thlmobilestore has 850/900/1800/1900GSM 850/2100WCDMA,
geekbuying has 850/900/1800/1900GSM 850/2100WCDMA
pandawill has 850/900/1800/1900GSM 850/1900/2100WCDMA
1949deal has GSM 900/1800MHz WCDMA 850/2100MHz
so i really confused with t100 and t100s, any one know what is the difference between thl t100s and thl t100? and which "version" of t100 is correct?

Dont let the "half baked" preleak and/or pre-sell-shop informations fool you
There has been some renaming confusion because the phone had atleast three different names (probably tied to different stages of developement).
It was called "THL Monkey King 2" (simply because it had comparable stats to the original THL Monkey King) by some websites which focus on chinese phone information leaks.
After THL did the annoucement for their new 8-Core smartphone it was named "THL T100" and now it will be released as "THL T100S Ironman"...
Whatever you call it ultimately, it is all the same phone!
You can check at the official website (remove spaces):
en. thl. com.cn /products/1.html?classify_id=1576
en. thl. com.cn /product/t100-34.html
(Neither thlmobilemall .com nor thlmobilestore. com are official)
As of now the display measures 5 inch (5 and 5.3 inch where rumored), it supports GSM 900/1800MHz GSM and 850/2100MHz WCDMA (there has been some confusion about frequencies aswell), the battery has a capacity of 2700mAh (there where rumors of only 2250-2300mAh) and it uses Corning Gorilla Glas 3 (not 2)... It wont have 4G LTE though (Mediatek LTE enabled chipsets will come Q2 2014)
It will most likely be available from 10th of december (tomorrow).
Hope that clears up some of the confusion.

an yes i know mtk has sent out some new 6290 chipset fore test
I know this thlmobilestore. com website aswell, but I do not think it is their "official shop" because the official (non-store-)THL sites are
www .thl .com .cn (chinese) and en .thl .com .cn (english) and both of them do not even link to thlmobilestore .com, but instead link to other shoping based sites.
Also, if you check www .thl .com .cn /News /detail-547 .html (no hyperlink spam protection is annoying btw) and use some translator you can see that they call the exact same phone "Monkey King 2" there but no word of 4G/LTE and the look matches the THL T100S aswell.
MT6590 has LTE and prototypes might have been sent out aswell, but is only 4-core chip, so it wouldnt fit to an 8-core Monkey King 2 either

As far as I know the MT6590 is the 4-Core LTE Chip and the MT6595 is the 8-Core LTE Chip
MT6290 was either the name for the baseband module or it was a name for some soc which was changed afterwards... It has/had to do with Mediatek LTE, that is for sure.

On the THL100/Monkey King2 topic:
It seems that the version for the Chinese market is called "Monkey King 2" while the international version is called "THL T100"
Monkey King 2 supports TD-SCDMA+WCDMA (so wont be usable mainly in USA) while T100 supports WCDMA/GSM (so wont be usable in some Asian networks)... everything else seem to be the same.

Hi,
According to many websites the Xolo X900 is excepted to be released really soon on Indian market (rumored for as early as tomorrow).
This along with the Lenovo K800 are the first Android devices w/ Intel chipsets.
Official Specs:
Processor: 1.6 GHz Intel Atom
OS: Android 2.3 Gingerbread (Upgradable to ICS)
RAM: 1 GB
Screen: 4.03'' (LCD 1024 x 600)
Camera: 8 MP with Flash
Front Camera: 1.3 MP
Internal Storage: 16 GB
Dimensions: 123 x 63 x 10.99 mm
HDMI TV out: Yes
NFC: Yes
Engadget review: http://www.engadget.com/2012/02/27/intels-xolo-x900-by-lava-hands-on/
I'm trying to understand where this device stands comparing to other new devices announced at MWC 12.
Only single core but it's Intel and I don't think we have comparison data between this and the different ARM processors.
Screen smaller than the current trend of minimum 4.3''.
Intel promise good battery life and everything else seems quite good so I assume mid-range class but I have no idea if it has the quality of other devices in this category like the HTC One S or Xperia P.
Would love to hear opinions about this device.
As an added question,
Would you suffice with such device or go with HTC One X? (assuming budget is not an issue).
Sounds like it has a lot of promise!
I heard the price was about Rs.22000(apx.$440). For a single core processor i think its too much when we can get a dual core for about the same price.
may be,
But guys, lava promised that this will have an ICS update soon, and all mobiles out which have dual core, do you think they are actually necessary. There are many battery dragging features in dual core. And Here, No more ARM you are getting a processor created buy Intel with 1.6MHZ Where you get 2Mhz processor provided by lg recently.( commoon intel is Legend in PC core processors), they promised that you will have the best charging life than any other mobile out in market. May be cost is bit high, but I think 18k is enough for this mobile. Which is already available.
Europe version
It will have an europe version with Orange, called Orange Santa Clara
Today i have received a package from one of our custumers and Xolo X900 was inside ;-) .... till monday i have to compare this phone with the iPhone 4s and Samsung Galaxy SIII ... i will post then some pics and facts...
It really looks nice, but with the 4 touch buttons and the hole in the display it not really seens to be up to date...
More in a few days...
Orange San Diego is Intel. Its £200... Not sure in India a I'm not Indian...
Sent from my Asus Transformer TF201 Prime using XDA Premium HD app
Orange San Diego and Intel XOLO X900 both are same except for the firmware. Orange San Diego have generic GB with Orange branding. XOLO doesn't have any branding. There is another sibling to this device in Russia. I don't remember what they call it.

If this is the price on offer, then surely this handset would not have an impact in the Indian market..
Seems overpriced
I just got this beauty from Korea... Krait S4, HD 4.8" screen, ceramic body parts, the works. It's a stupidly fast phone with a lot of customization options too, and a built-in "privacy" mode option on the screen that acts like a 3M polarizer screen protector...

I'm gonna wait for them to start popping up on Expansys and E-Bay. Hopefully I can get one by November.
Only problem is, you're stuck with MIUI. I love it, but flexibility would be nice.
I don't think they released the proprietary files/libs for the Mi-One, so ROM development never got started for it.
I hope it isn't the same case for this one.

The question is how will the dev community be?
It's a cool phone with great specs and all but if there is little dev support, and Xiaomi is slow with updates, it's not worth getting imo and better to wait for "big" phone companies like HTC or Samsung to out their next big device. For example, when will this phone get JB?

Oooooh. Yeah, that would be tedious to deal with. Shame, because it's such an awesome looking (aesthetically and specs-wise) that it would be sick to run an AOSP-based on it!

Hi, I am familiar with this forum but I have never posted anything. Ok anyways I just ordered a Chinese knockoff phone called the Hero 2000+ of the Iphone 5, it comes as an android os instead of the ios. The reason I ordered this was to experiement with it, plus I like how the Iphone looks but dont care for the IOS. So I know MIUI makes a custom rom with an Iphone theme, so my question is can this be installed in a chinese knockoff? I would love to have the best of both worlds.

I've got mine 3 weeks ago already... happy with it so far
Hi. Does this have play store preinstalled? Is there any multilanguage rom?
I've just ordered this Teclast P98 refresh, Not to be confused with the older T98 or the P98 with the A80T Allwinner CPU, this has the newer MTK8752 a 1.7Ghz octa core 64bit CPU, 2GB of ram and a Mali T760. It should be quite the beast I think. And it also has dual band 2.4Ghz / 5Ghz wifi and 4G LTE. Looks interesting. I should have it on Monday and will post up my first impressions and unboxing and review later on. I ordered it from geekbuying.com, it's in stock and you have Paypal unlike Aliexpress. The build looks just like my X98 dual boot, same retina screen, frame and backing plate design.
Although it's a 64bit CPU, it's not shipping with Android 5.0 lolipop which supports 64bit which is a shame, I hope Teclast update it soon. But this tablet could definatly use so XDA love in the way of custom roms. Maybe even a lolipop build?

First impressions:
The build quality is good, exactly the same body as the Teclast X98 Air 3G. Tablet seems quick, the 3d power of the mali-T760 seems rather disappointing. seems it's the Mp2 version. So only two cores and not the 4 or 6 core version like on my Note 4. The camera when it takes a photo comes out blank! There is a OTA update to fix this but it is giving me an error.
Idle power usage is good, 6 hours and only loosing 1%, but now it's locking up. I might try and flash a rom from Teclast's page.
When the tablet goes into deep sleep it locks up and I have to use the reset button. It would seem the rom is very buggy.
Edit: After a factory hard reset my camera seems to be back now and working. But the deep sleep issue is still present.

Hi, thanks for your review. I'm trying to decide between the X98 Air II or the P98 4G. Do you know whether a dual OS can be loaded on the P98 4G?
Cheers

I think it's impossible to do a dual OS in a mediatek platform.

Yeah it's possible on an arm cpu, it would need to have a x86 cpu for that.
Has anyone else got this tablet? If so are you having sleep issues once you lock the screen wait 5 minutes and I can't get the tablet back. I have to reset it, super annoying!
There is a firmware update just released yesterday, I can't seem to download this. Can anyone mirror this file: http://dl.vmall.com/c0glylk1re ?

Yes, Nothing seems to work for me, it's just timing out. Need this April firmware update to hopefully fix my sleep issue. Can you try and download it?
Tested out 4G today, works well on Band 3 (1800mhz) for me here in Spain. GPS works well to.
Okay managed to download the rom, v1.16 seems to fix all the issues I've been having with sleep. I managed to flash it after a bit of messing around. The second post here you'll find the v1.16 rom if anyone needs it. Teclast update tool on the rom now says "undiscover new version"
can this tablet be root it yet.

Hi
It's not impossible (i already did that on older MTK SoC's) , but it's extremely limited and buggy , so lets forget that for now.
Can you guys check if the MT8752 cpu Rev is either Rev1 or Rev2 ?
There are some issues with the Mt8752 Rev1 ... Not sure if it's related with SW or HW ...
Regards

Backup IMEI number
Hello, I have also acquired this tablet. Comes with ROM 1.14 and want to upgrade to 1.16. Is it not necessary to backup the IMEI before to flash a new ROM or using vroot? Is there no risk of losing the IMEI?
