[Q] swaping SD and restore Backup - Sony Xperia Miro, Tipo (Dual), J, E

Hi,
I installed Gimlo 2 and I installed all my apps and data, etc. Now my internal SD is acting up a little with stopping apps, etc.
I would like to try to swap the internal & external SD to see if it might be the hardware.
Is it possible to install gimlo and swap sd and than restore a backup? Or would that also restore the swap?
Just asking because otherwise would be a pain in the ass to restore everything by hand.

[Q] backup/restore ROM and apps (SD card)

basicaly i have only 2 questions.
1, when creating whole ROM backup of my system do i need to create full copy of my SD card?(as i understand it ClockworkMod does not backup SD card) in case that after full WIPE and ROM reinstall i would like to go back to old ROM i would need it. i have a lot of apps stored on SD card.
2, when creating apps backup with titanium backup, i dont need to store any SD card data, because this is stored by titanium backup and after WIPE apps will be installed back to SD card(in new ROM)?
As long as you dont format your SD card, doing a full wipe before installing a new ROM will not affect it.

[Q] Using TitaniumBackup on ICS

So I'm planning on ditching honeycomb and switching to an Ics rom... I backed up all my apps using TitaniumBackup but the rom requires a full wipe and cache wipes, question is, would performing the required wipes before flashing the rom also wipe the backups TitaniumBackup made on the internal storage?
No. All that is stored on a different partition...so you're safe. Just don't use the SuperWipeFULL version zip. THAT...will wipe all downloaded stuff on the internal SD storage.
Infact...to make it easy for you...just download and use the SuperWipe Lite script from the Revolution HD thread. That's what I do...when I need to wipe.
Also you could move the backup folder location to the micro sd card.
Just go into "preferences" and change it to micro sd card

Don't forget to change it back after you wipe and reinstall titanium, or it will just look like you lost all your backups since it defaults to internal storage.
After reinstalling TB, you can have it do a quick scan to pick up any folder that tb uses.
Also remember that TB stores its own settings on removable card if available on /Removable/MicroSD/data/com.keramidas.TitaniumBackup/

Recovery Backups

So Synergy has been the first rom that I installed on my phone. Now, if i make backups on ROM Manager, and decide to flash to a different rom, say cyanogen for example. If I wipe all of my data, which I would assume is my best choice of action when flashing to a new rom, will these backups that I've made on the SD card be saved or will they disappear with the rest of my data? Should I buy a micro SD to store all of those on or can i even do backups to the external sd card?.
Also, when making Titanium backups, are those something I want to store on an external SD? Or can i restore from places like dropbox? I appreciate any input.
I flash roms three times, and wipe user data every time.
The data on internal sd card is safe.
But I think backup to external sd card is much safer,so I get one(32G)
And yes ,Titanium and clockworkmod can backup to external sd card, change the Titanium backup store path and look for cwm menu!

[Q] Q Help with memory

I have been trying different roms and loading apps at the same time. Half the apps have disappeared even after restoring them with Titanium but the URGENT question is how to clean up my memory? (BTW) Whats the difference between sd card and ext sd card?

Obviously SD card refers to the internal memory and ext(ernal) SD card is basically the Micro SD card storage it is the smartphone version of internal and external hard drive. You will have to delete the backup apps to free up memory located in the Titanium Backup folder. all in all it is the same as what you would do on your laptop or desktop.

[Q] Android 6 and SD Internal Storage

Hi guys. It's me, the stupid guy who formated his SD on Marshmallow with the "Internal Storage option" and then changed the rom . I didn't know all the encrypted stuff!... Well, the problem now is that i have a SD card formated with internal sotage option but i haven't the exactly rom with i did the formatting, only an old backup (before SD formatting). When i put on the SD card in the old backup, it says that cant use it, must format all the stuff. So...
Is there any way to access all my SD data? i tried with the old backup, doing a wipe data... nothing works.
PD: Sorry for my ****ty english
Up!
Any ideas?
You tried putting your SD card into a PC? it might read it though but if it doesnt you have to do the formating. All will be wiped but you can still afterwards try Recuva (program for restoring data) and when downloaded put your SD into your PC and then start it. that would be your best bet.
