no, thats not true, as a matter of fact - batterys can suffer if you store them a long time with to less energy, but if you're not leave your phone 4 weeks turned off, this shouldn't be a problem

By trying another battery.
I'm in the process of getting the ankers, but my stock battery is trash period, my battery stats show like that, I can be at 30% then reboot and be at like 5, but I can plug in before a reboot and then be at like 50%. I know its going to kill my battery eventually like it did on my buddies G1, and I know that's an old phone but his was doing these same exact things and one day he took it off charge at 100% and 30 seconds later went dead and we never got that battery back.
Last night when I got home my battery was like 30% and I was showing off pix from the zoo my ds just decided to say low battery and shut down. So I gave it 5 and brought it back up with 20%? So I would def think its the battery, seems how hot the stock one gets

Exactly same problem. Sometimes it would be at 12% like for 1 1/2 hour until it gets to 11%. I noticed that my battery drain pretty fast when it gets hot. Eventually my battery works great,I think is the phone. Where I can find de ankers at the lowest price?

If you've harldy used it, it's not unusual, the screen needs a lot of power when active ( well an with 2300mAh battery....)
Hey all,
I was just wondering, is this battery life normal? Ot seems to me as if it was just too low, well, actually, sh*t.
Thanks in advanced.
EDIT: got to 7% just writing this post, with Spotify.
EDIT2: I forgot to say I disabled wifi scan even when off, Ok Google hot word, bluetooth is always off, same applies to wifi, brightness nearly at minimum, but location on and sweep2wake aswell.

No, it sucks. Get rid of spotify it's sucking your battery
The battery sucks
I am at 9 hours and 45 minutes, 18 seconds on my current charge. I have 70% remaining. 19% of my used battery life has been voice calls so far today also. I get more than a day easily but I charge every night just to be sure my alarm goes off in the morning, but on weekends I get two full days at time pretty easy.
I use waze at times to navigate and play music at the same time in the car for about 3 hours at a time, that can use my full battery in eight hours total, but for using everything basically I fine with that! Doing nothing special to save power either.

still trolling i see. also it seems that you didnt learn how to set up your phone properly yet. when you do learn, you will see that the non removeable battery for your 5 inch 1080p phone is not so underpowered, but not managed properly by the user.

my rom and kernel are rastakat with trinity kernel. but battery life is mostly determined by how you personally set up your phone, how you personally use the phone, how you manage your phone and apps(plus keeping away from known terribly written apps, like facebook), and, very importantly, the quality of your data/phone connection(this makes a big difference in battery life).

hmm... then what should I do? Not getting 3 hours of battery seems terrible... Warranty will not cover this, right?

no. but id say that depending how you use your device(we all use it differently), that 2.5-4.5h screen on time would be considered normal. with some effort in managing your device/apps, 4.5-7h sot is possible, with 7h sot being the extreme end(most wont ever see 7h, but a few will). i normally see between 5-6.5h sot.

This thread is a great resource:

Hello! Last night my Nexus 5 was charging by itself overnight, i bought the phone second hand 2 days ago(the phone have 4 months of use). What is the problem? My battery life is pretty good, i'm on completly stock rom unrooted. Also 10 min ago my phone charged from 5% to 6% by itself.
It is the battery stats recalibrating. It is weird because what it does is estimate how much each thing should draw not how much is actually drawn or something. It is a weird calculation and is why they had Miscellaneous drain in the preview build.

I call BS. You have to be rooted to break the laws of thermodynamics. :silly:
when you use the phone, it uses battery. when the battery is used, it estimates its use. sometimes itll drop the battery percent lower than it should. so what it does is raise the battery percent slowly, until it gets back to the percent it used to be. this has happened on every single android phone since the g1 was released in 2008. so, you arent special :silly:

why...;;
It hasn't affected my watch. I still get about 3 days to a charge.
Sent from my SM-T530NU using Tapatalk
Mine also. I used to get 2 days with always on and now it lasts less than one day. Started this morning at 100% around 7 am and its 6pm with about 10% battery. Any ideas? No additional apps were added. Also updated Samsung pay about the same time.
I am down from almost 3 days to 1.5. And that is with using it less as the newness of it wore off.
I am back to normal now two days and at 40%. No idea why it's gotten better I'm not changing how use the watch really. Very strange.

How long did it take to get back to normal?
I also have the same problem since last update. I usually had 3 days with a charge, now it lasts just two days, sometimes less.
Don't know if it comes from the watch itself or the phone, I have a Note 4. I would say from the watch, because when using the watch in autonomous mode without phone, I still have four days battery life.
