There is serious battery problem in cm7 and cm9. My phone switches itself off at around 60% battery remaining if i am using internet which is very annoying. Again if I switch it on it shows 50% and the battery drain continues. What to do for this problem.
Sorry for my bad english.

Try to charge phone to 100% then wipe battery stats(from recovery) or try DieHard Battery Calibrator
It might be your battery problem. Have you try going back to Froyo?
Flashed Froyo

I flashed froyo rom but the problem was still present. I recently flashed stock froyo and the battery problem did not exist. But i want CM7 as there are many features which I want. I want to know if there is any how the problem can be solved
Thank you.
somewhere around 6.6 update i started noticing my battery was draining faster anyone else and is there a fix i use to have great battey life on this rom what has happened.
I'm guessing your on embryo? Have u checked your wake locks with better battery stat? Did u flash a kernel? Installed any new or unknown apps? We need more info to help u.
Recently i bought a new battery for my ace plus as the old one overcharged while using usb tethering stuck at 100 for hours and then turned off my phone. After recharging it normaly the battery life was reduced greatly.
The problem with the new one is that when it completes charging after 2 hours which is normal it stays at 99% for quite a time while using it and after that it drops 1% every 2-3 minutes if im using it to browse or play games. It takes 1.5 to 2 hours gaming to turn off a fully charged battery now. The 99 stuck thing is normal ?
Calibrating and deleting battery stats didnt help.

vickyg, I've also experiencing the same issues,
I have done battery calibration several times and tried juice defender, from 5-8 hours of battery life with average usage, my battery only improved to 12-13 hour battery life,
I've figured out that, the problems wasn't with the custom ROM or stock ROM. :silly:
I've dig some research and found that it may* due certain hardware problems, not sure
(going to sent my ace plus to samsung center soon)

if you are on cm 10.1 then you have good battery life
and if you are on stock then you must change your battery

I must agree, I've been using Inspiration and cm10.1,
cm10.1 had proved longer battery life (with average usage)
=)

that's the problem, I've reverted safely to the stock rom (month ago), found that the battery problem is still there,
I when to samsung and they said, my battery are just fine, however that time I refused to let samsung to keep my phone for further diagnose,
that's why i've been experiemental with either inspiration and cm10.1, and found that in cm10.1, I have at least 3hour+ more
well, If I've not mistaken, I still under warranty,
vickyg, do you think I should sent my phone to samsung?

My dad gave me a Galaxy S2 Skyrocket I727, and I am enjoying it except for the battery life. I have been researched and turned off everything I can think of that might drain the battery fast. My dad has a mpj battery as spare, but it disappeared. Would a new battery help? If possible I would buy a new.

Can you tell what you did?
I see much better battery life with cyanogenmod base rom
Kernel i change to badass. Noop i/o. I underclock to 1026 seems to play most games ok no lag. Also use greenify dont sync apps. Set app as to manually update them.
Also black dark apps helps in some roms turning the hardware key lights off helps. And if using cyanogen mod stop wakelock RILJ.
Altogether and you will see a difference in battery life iblove the dirty unicorns 4,4,2.
Hi everyone ,
I am using the unlocked AT&T Galaxy S7 SM-930A, running latest unlocked rom SM-930U,
The battery drain 1% in about 20 minutes of Idle , I checked battery status, it does not show any applications that used huge percents of battery.
I tried to factory reset the phone , but the problem still persist.
Anyone know this problem, please help me, thank you.

Same here, Rogers SM-G930W8. Android System and Android OS have higher usage that the Screen. I was just about to factory reset the phone but decided not to after reading this post.
Its a great phone but this battery issue is a REAL pain. Ive read elsewhere its the Location Services keeping the phone from sleeping. Turning it off isnt a fix, as everything on these phones uses Location Services now.
Any help you guys may have would be GREATLY appreciated. Good luck OP.
Could someone solve the problem? I have the last update and the battery is drained and turned off with 40%
