Why does no one replied to my topic?
You will most likely need a custom ROM, such as AOKP or Cyanogenmod. I haven't seen any successful official or unofficial ports for that device, however.

but kernel? or a app?

Hi everyone!
Wondering if there is or are anyway to calibrate Omnia battery? I think it is draining too fast, first i left my phone charging for 5hours to completely charge and just send 1 message and download Samsung App "Now" and in 1 hour since has now 92% of it. I use brightness in minimun, use Edge connection and nothing more to spend so much...in moment im using "mirolg" mi7ROM mango 8107 DFT, great by the way!
Any ideas?
Thanks!

Or you can consider to try to change a battery.
Draining the battery fully will probbly calibrate it, though there may be a Calibrate feature in the Diagnostics app as well.
However, it's pretty normal for smartphones to only have battery life for about a day. 8%/hour, including downloading an app (which is moderately power-intensive) isn't way out of line with what I'd expect. Do you sync email? Do you have any live tiles? Do you use any background agents? Those all use power.
Also, custom ROMs - especially newly-released ones right after they become available - can have battery problems. Did you see the same result on the stock ROM? If not, your ROM may have a power issue.

I just donne it, used my phone until completely run out of battery, pulled out the battery and left for 2 days in this state....today i plugged the charger and phone in airplanemode for about 7 hours and showed me 97% of charge....plugged it out cause maybe could be a bug, power on and for my surprise it showed 83%...gave it up...i dunno but when i had Galaxy S there was a way to calibrate battery i´ve already asked here but nobody knows about Omnia 7....also, i remeber that custom rom causes this bugs, i couldnt get 100% but with stock it completely charge.

hi,
I test few custom rom with android 4.3 and 4.2 (CM 10-10.2 , PAC-MAN 1.3 ,aokp 4.2,CARBON Etc.). I love them but charging very slow! To charge my phone from 37% to 90% Takes 12 Hours! But with custom rom with android 4.0.3(Android Revolution HD 7.3) Takes lass 5 Hours with the same charger.
This is normal? How to fix it?

Are you sure that your battery indicator is showing correct starts. Like when it discharges it is linear and everything?

I think you have a battery problem.
I think you have a battery problem.
try Anker, I'm very happy
I noticed that on my sensation too. It doesn't take that long, but it takes a lot longer than on stock rom. I also noticed if i restart my phone while charging it goes higher, for example when its at 85% and i restart it sais 100%, but then it restarts even faster

I tried Anker and No change
as far as i know the kernel decides wether you can fastcharge with more than 500mA (normal usb 2.0 mA) or not. Perhaps you should try another kernel. For example (if you don't already use it) try sultan kernel, i'm very happy with that and during the installation you can choos wether you want fastcharge or not.
Hello,
I updated my Mini to KitKat 4.4.2 and I am experiencing battery drain issue. Android System takes arround 60% of battery and I feel, that my batter last shorter time as before update.
I did factory reset after update.
Is there anything what can I do?
Thanks in advance.
I had this problem too, but my usage was around 75% and would loose battery % every 5 minutes while the screen was off. Try using Tr1gg3r's stock rom listed in the developer section. There are 3 different versions. One of them will likely work better for you.
thank you very much for your answer and suggestion. I never put custom rom into any of my android device, but I feel now is the time
You'll find that the ROMs I suggested are pretty much stock, so it won't a jarring change.
Hello.
I'm having battery issues on my HTC One S with [ROM] MaximusHD 10.0.0, already tryed with 3 different batteries but all of them drain very fast, the phone still has about 50% charge but switches off ( while being used ) and when i switch it on only has about 18/20% charge.
At the begginning i thought the battery was the problem but since this issues appens with all 3 batteries i'm now thinking it might be some kind of issue regarding the ROM and would like to know if already appened to someone else.
Thanks in advance
hi, today I bough used (one year old, still in warranty) shield k1 and battery drain, even when not playing, is like 1% a minute. Also recharging is pretty slow. I have stock rom noughat version 5.2 and I did factory reset. I found some issues occuring after update to 7.0. But I can't find anything how to fix it. and also I'm not sure if battery can be dead after one year or if it's software related... Please see attached picture
Should I root and try some custom rom? I will stop my warranty
Rooting doesn't void warranty and you can always simply unroot and go to stock ROM, so I suggest you to flash latest stock ROM to get the newest firmware (the one for faster charging) and then you can flash which ever custom ROM you like the most.
Edit : so to answer your question, this is far from a good battery life, but I am 95% sure that with customisation you can make that better. When you do that we can evaluate the health of your battery.
My shield on tesla rom took 6 days to go from 100% to 20% idleing. It took my charger 2 hours to put it back to 100%
