Yes, yet another calendar widget trying to take over one of your homescreens. This one might just be able to...
Hi guys,
This is a simple calendar widget, that strives to be clean, beautiful and useful.
Main features:
- 2 widgets: agenda and calendar
- Agenda shows weather information
- Several configuration options: widget looks, fonts, colors
Some of the configuration options are locked and only available on the premium version (upgradable in the app). Anyway, i believe that the unlocked options are enough to make it useful. If you don't agree, leave some feedback please.
Get it on Google Play or here.

Love it, but I would like to see some options, for example hide "no events" select how many days to get weather for, hide icons, a completely transparent theme and possibility to buy it in play store.

Really nice UI :good:
installed it and indeed a good app
great job, OP!
loving it and currently using the calendar widget on my main homescreen!
set it to white background.
however, there are certain issues when its being resized too small..
the dates scaled but it cuts off half, showing only 1-14 instead of 1-30/31.
It looks really nice.
Would be even nicer if the font size (or the whole widget) was adjustable to something smaller
Thanks for the feedback guys.
I'll try to answer some of the questions.

Your points are fair. I've tried to strike a balance between too much and too few options, but maybe i haven't found it yet.
Anyway, here are some explanations:
- The "no events" label only appear if you select "show weather" and there's weather information for that day, but no events. To show the weather information i had to show something on the description, hence the "no events" label (it doesn't appear if you choose not to show the weather). But an option to control it is something i will consider.
- I'm thinking on the hide icons option (it obviosly isn't difficult to implement, but like i said, i'm trying to keep the settings screen relatively approachable, so i must think on how to incorporate it). Right now you can hide the settings button, but that may not be enough.
- There's no predefined completly transparent theme, but you can make one by changing the day and header background to transparent (just slide the opacity bar all the way to the left). In the agenda view those settings are locked, but you can see how they work in calendar view. Now, i understand that it might be "harsh" requiring people to buy the premium version to have full transparency, but i had to lock some options...
- Regarding the possibility of buying it in the Play Store, i just thought that the In App billing process was "cleaner" and more straightforward for people who wanted to upgrade. I really couldn't think of any advantage of having a separate "key" app in the Play Store vs the In App billing, but maybe i'm missing something.

Yeah, that's by design, and it probably works well for some people, and doesn't work for other people. If the widget is resized to less than 2 rows it shows only 2 weeks. Initially i didn't have that way, it showed all the weeks regardless of the widget size and it was scrollable, but i was having some trouble making it look "right" so i choose this route. I might revisit this though.
By the way, i should add a disclaimer here: the calendar view is heavily inspired by a "prototype" that Roman Nurik (from Google and dashclock fame) made. I didn't just copy it, as it has added functionality, but i was heavily inspired by it (and that's why the calendar view is completly free)

Adjustable font sizes, or at least a selection of 2 different font sizes are something i plan to explore. Can't promise it will be released as it must look "right", but i'll look into it.
Once again, thank you very much for the feedback.

Thanks again for taking time to read our feedback. I don't think you need to go deep in term of font/margin size options but something like Gmail "Comfortable / Cozy / Compact" would rock!
Bought it... Great looking App at a fair price... Replaced all my previous calendar Widgets apps...

Yeah, i was thinking of doing something like that. I was considering only 2 options, but including 3 named like GMail makes more sense indeed. I'll test it ti make sure it looks good (the width of the left sidebar can be tricky, in fact, it might have to stay the same, but it might not matter).

Obrigado. Glad you like it.
A new version (v1.2.9) was published today, with some common requested features:
- Change text size options
- Theme selection dialog with preview
- Widget header configuration options
- UI Tweaks (better touch feedback, changed separator between days)
It should be available soon.
Hope you like it.
I can't see a full month on the homescreen. I only see 1 week. Even when I use 4x4.
How can I solve this?

You're talking about the month widget right?
It should only show 1 week when it is resized to 1 row...
Could you please tell me what version of android, device and launcher you have.
Thanks

Hi, tasks integration is something we'll look into, but can't promise to implement. Even if we implement it, the first target will be Google tasks, and then maybe other task management solutions (like Any.DO). You see, for tasks there aren't one or two general accepted apps, and we don't have the man power to integrate with them all...

Very nice, took only 5 minutes for me to buy the full version.
agenda view which is my favourite one looks really amazing. consider adding Google tasks support and I can tell you I would switch to this app (Google calendar and Gogle tasks support in one app is my top priority). good work, looking forward to future updates!

Thank you for your feedback.
It uses the 24 hour setting from the system settings: settings / Date & Time / Use 24-hour format.
But I had some inconsistencies with this, so it might be wrong by default. When this setting has never been changed I cannot read a true/false status, but read a "null" value. When this happens I default to the am/pm format. A quick way around this is to go into the settings and tick the 24-hour tickbox and then untick it again.
The inconsistency is that on some phones the "null" defaults to am/pm format and on others to 24-hour format.
Has anyone else experienced this?
Ok, workaround worked for now
Hope you can make the widget "bigger"

That's great.
In order to investigate this inconsistency, could you provide me with some info?
What phone do you have and what Android version (and rom if any) do you have. Could you also tell me if the 24-hour tickbox was enabled by default or not?
Much appreciated.
In order to make it bigger, the animation will get bigger exponentially. This will eat away more memory so I am not 100% sure I can achieve this. I will have a look how far I can stretch it, but with the current size I felt comfortable it will run on most phones.
I have a Sony Ericsson Xperia Play (R800i), with Android 2.3.3, no root and no custom rom, locked bootloader.
Because i am from Germany, and we always use "Military-Time", my 24-hour tickbox was enabled by default.

Great work...works well on my wildfire. It would be great if you make it like htc sense clock.
Awesome !!!
Fantastic job. Works like a dream. Have never seen such smooth transition...
A few suggestions if you can incorporate...
1. Would like the widget to open up alarm application when i click on the widget in home screen. This helps me to set alarm directly instead of opening the clock from apps.
2. Try to make a calendar with day month & year so that even the day, & date can be added as another widget below the time....
Once again, great app

Thanks for your feedback.
I have planned to add some customization in the near future, one of which is the ability to configure an application to launch when you tap on the clock.
The Calendar is a great idea. Though I think it would be better to place it either on the left or right (configurable) of the time in order to keep it a 4x1 widget. Any strong views on this?
I have mocked up a little graphic on how I think it could look:

Dude, the image is nice. However, I would suggest you to make it of the same size like the clock so that it can be added below the clock or maybe give us a choice of selection of size.
This way, if both clock & calendar are different, we can choose two different applications when we tap on these widgets.
Thanks again for your quick response.

I will take this into account. I think I will implement both, but as a different size widget. The idea I have is to have a 4x1 and a 4x2 widget, both where the date is optional. On the 4x1 it will sit on the side and on the 4x2 it will sit beneath.

Hey guys,
I want to show you my first app "Exquisite Drawer" which I have just released to Play Store.
You can get it right here:
Lite Version: Exquisite Drawer Lite
Pro Version: Exquisite Drawer Pro
You want to know which changes made it recently to the app?
Here you go. Changelog in Post #2
This app I wanna share with you is a replacement for your standard App Drawer.
Now you might think:
"What the heck? Nobody needs this since every phone has already an App Drawer"
Click to collapse
And you are right. But then. Go into your apps and look......
Does it look good? Really?
I don't think so. And this is the reason why I created Exquisite Drawer.
What is different with this app? Why would you want to download?
That's a good question. To answer this let me show you some screenshots:
From these Images you can get a lot of information what the app is able to do but I will list the main features here:
- Change Colors of Text and Background individually (so there is no dependency on other elements)
- Enable or Disable sertain UI Elements for your liking (such as Actionbar or Titlestrip)
- Change Textsizes
- Use system or inbuilt font
Also you have the ability to display two different images within Exquisite Drawer.
One on top of the Applist and the other below.
So every time you want to launch an app you will see your favourite image.
The best thing about this is that those images do not affect your workflow since they scroll out of view.
Another exciting Feature is the inbuilt Theme-Switcher. For now there are 6 different designs which can be applied by only one click. At the end of this Post you will see them all.
What else to mention?
The lite version is a stripped down version of the app.
But you get a bunch of features over there too:
- Theme Chooser
- Change background color of Titlestrip
- Change fontsize of Titlestrip
- Hide Applicationicons
- Hide Actionbar
- Enable/disable Headerimage and/or Footerimage
- Choose a custom picture
- Choose side of Navigationdrawer
What are the pro only features?
- Use a custom Font from your sd-card
- Change background and font color of Actionbar, Applist, Navigationdrawer
- Change Textsize of Applist and Navigationdrawer
- Disable various Itemdividers
When I say you can change the color you propably thing about a list of predefined Colors which you can choose from.
But this is not the truth.
Infact you can choose any color you can imagine.
This screenshot shows the Colorpicker:
The same for Fontsizechanger which can be choosen incrementally.
So this was a quite long post. And when you reach this point I wanna thank you. Now there are only some Images to come. At first you will see the whole bunch of settings which are available and after that you will see all of the available Designs.
I hope you like it.
Ocean Blue:
Red Fire:
Purple Rain:
Gaucous:
Soft:
Black 'n' White:
Here are the links again. Just for convenience:
Lite Version: Exquisite Drawer Lite
Pro Version: Exquisite Drawer Pro
Thank you so much for reading all of this. If you have suggestions, problems or other genereal feedback please feel free to comment to this post.
I will try to answer it as fast as possible.
Changelog
Version 1.5.7
- Two new Designs added "Xda Light" and "Xda Dark"
Older Changelog:
Version 1.5.6
- Bug fix: Long press menu does not show up when both images are hidden
Version 1.5.5
- Initial Release

ok having to write this all again cause it failed previously and message disappeared
anyways i wasn't really expecting anything special when i came here but was curious to see what it was about. so i decided to take it for a quick test drive and i must say im pretty impressed. even considering that it was just a lite version an all lol
the theme options are pretty cool even on their own. (pro allows more color/customizing of course). i was digging the simplistic black n white look too! also like the long hold app option that allows you to go pro, launch app, show app in play store and uninstall app. nice job there!! although i was slightly curious why purple rain & black n white theme didn't have these options?
overall was working smooth, don't remember coming across any bugs which is very good!! couldn't test battery life cause only used for a short period but im pretty sure it wouldn't have affected it much!
well want to say, keep doing what your doing dev! thumbs up from me!! :good:

Great app, keep up on the designs.
Really promising I like to keep my device nice and minimal looking and this does the trick nicely. Cant use it as my default just yet as I rely on custom groups and categories to organise my millions of apps. But it looks like thats on your to do list so keep up the good work. - hiding Apps (with a special feature )
- Exporting and Importing Designs
- Iconpack support
and many other things.
Thank you for your suggestion.
Also to everybody:

Hi all and welcome to a new era, nowadays with Google's fantastic platform updates, an increasing amount of applications and launcher are being released. All offering different and unique features. But this launcher however stands out amongst most of them. Why do I say this? Give this launcher a try and you will most likely get your answer straight away. This launcher has a cutting edge interface, all inspired by the formerly known application "Google Search/Google Now" of course we have to credit Google for this experience and they deserve the applaud, because the app is simply amazing.

You can skip this part if you wish, unless you want to know how this launcher came about. So one night (about a month ago). I was tired and went to my room to sleep, all snug and warmed up in bed, this is usually the time when random ideas and concepts flow through my mind. One of these concepts was to design a Launcher that looked like Google's design scheme. I thought this would be a great way to learn about Android development and make my idea into reality. So I quickly noted this idea down, a week passed by and I stumbled upon the note and I wondered a bit. And after a deep thought about this, I hopped on my computer and whipped up some magic in 2 weeks. It's now been three weeks (This will differ in future, since I doubt I'll be updating this story). And I felt like releasing this new Launcher because I want opinions from you guys on how I can make this Launcher work and function. So I present to all, Active Launcher!

@mobihack I am planning to release it for ICS and above, though I don't know exactly when I will do this but it will be done in a few future releases.
Sorry that you cannot test it out, just hold on tight.
Ok man
Looking good so far,
but as you said some apps doesn't open, for example evolve sms for messaging.
And i have some strange really big icons in the app drawer.
Would you mind to open a google+ page for this launcher?

Thanks, and yeah some apps will not open, because the default messaging apps are set.
In future releases I will add a feature where the user can select which app to run.
And as for the app drawer, yeah some icons are random and big.
This is slightly difficult as I'm going to completely ditch that app drawer and implement a different one.
Here, I just created the Google+ page.

Great concept even though not really usable yet. Looking forward to future updates :good:
@Jamin_1 Thanks for trying Active Launcher. Hopefully this Launcher works out in the future. As for now it's still in Beta and there is currently allot of things to work on. As you stated it definitely isn't made for daily use. But this gives the users a taste of what's coming ahead .

You're right.
Thank you so much for your hard work and the early release :good: Your launcher attracted my interest and I will keep testing it.
At last something new and up to date with Google's great UI design. It's time to say goodbye to still great, but bit old Nova and Apex.
Hope to see this project evolve in to something mature and useful as these two.
Looks interesting! I'll definitely keep an eye on this!
I'll wait out until those app drawer bugs are fixed until I try this out myself
Looks good. for a long time i have been searching for some new kind of launcher and your project is promising
Thanks guys for the support, I will surely continue this project.
Hit me up with some features that you'd like to have in this Launcher.

Hey man, this project is very exciting. I really like the concept and appearance. Great implementation of translucent statusbar. So here's my feedback:
Like the idea of system apps in app drawer. Maybe, instead of removing it completely, make it optional
Always listening feature possible? I definitely tried "Ok, Google" to my own humorous disappointment, lol.
Make app drawer button and blue part under it auto hide and have ability to pull it up just like notification tray is pulled down.
Maybe instead of just cards for each app, there could be multiple "card screens" or homescreens that each house cards with information relevant to particular apps. For example, the Contacts app could have its own cardscreen with contact cards with options to call or text that person at the bottom of their card.
With that said, the following are more far-fetched ideas:
Make app cards launch app with just a swipe. If u could swipe immediately into certain apps, that'd be epic, dude.
Notifications, such as text messages, could come up directly in the launcher as cards ready to act upon.
Yea, so don't have as many far-fetched ideas as I thought.
Anyway, really like where this is going. Hope you continue to imaginate!!
@Justinchi thank you for your feedback! Many of your ideas had already been mentioned on the Google+ page and for the other ideas you have, they're really good. And as for the swipe feature, its possible
I will be debasing the application on a different layout as working with this single layout will mean, too much work.

Awesome Icons is a completely free application for using icons from various icon packs on the home screen without requiring a third party launcher or rooted environment. It allows one to pick icons for applications one by one, even mixing icons from different icon packs. One may also customize the label for the shortcut – even removing it entirely for a completely different feeling on the home screen.
Features:
- Use icons freely from any icon pack for the home screen shortcuts on the default launcher; most icon packs are supported.
- Customize labels for the shortcuts on the home screen.
- See icons suggested for applications from all icon packs at once.
Please try it:

Tried it out briefly on my HTC one (m7). Works well for the most part, but does seem a bit buggy, (at least with Sense 6).
Creating an icon from the app menu creates a HUGE icon that has no label and cannot be moved to the launcher bar. If I create it through the app, it works correctly.
Unfortunately, it cannot find the phone dialer app. This makes it unusable for me, as I wanted to change all of my lockscreen shortcuts to be themed with my launcher icons (nova).
I hope you can fix this in future editions. This is the one uncustomized item I needed to change to make everything seamless. [emoji4]
EDIT- Also, a suggestion... A dark theme would be awesome for people who work with white icons. It is very difficult to see them on the light cream background (Circle White Icon Pack).

Thank you for trying it out.
That huge icon is actually a widget. The feature is not documented very well right now, but the idea is that if you create a widget, you can make the icon larger than a normal shortcut. (Ordinary shortcut uses the space for label even if you empty it.)
I can't imagine why the dialer is not showing up, but I'll certainly look into it. It's probably an HTC custom dialer application, but if it shows up in the application menu, it should show up on this app as well.
Also you're perfectly right about the need for different background to preview the icons against. I'll make a note of it.
Thank you for the feedback.

Thanks. Here are pics of what I use it for... It let's me theme my lock screen without having to use a replacement (which I've found replacements don't seem to integrate well).
Perhaps this will provide others inspiration. Thanks again for this great app. [emoji4]

Thanks for sharing! I hadn't even imagined it could be used like that. I guess some lock screens allow shortcuts as mine (Nexus 5) doesn't seem to do that.

Yeah, I use an HTC One (m7). Sense 5+ uses whatever you have as your dock icons for the lockscreen. Since I use a custom launcher (Nova), I don't even see it on my home screen, yet it allows for the seamless lockscreen look.
I also use glovebox, themed with my desktop icons.

I see an update in the pay store today, however, I believe it has the same update description... 'System icons now show up to use'. Was this a bug fix update, I didn't notice any added features (hoping for black background option).

Hello again. Yesterday's update was just a quick fix for wrong icon sizes on some devices with no new features; the market description is now updated to reflect this. Thank you for the reminder.
I think your previous suggestion about the background is a much needed feature and in fact it's right on top of my todo-list for this application. Right now we're working on another big project, though, so I'm not sure when I can get that to that one.

A simple widget that displays your most recently used applications in a grid. Blacklist apps you don't want showing up and style the widget to match your home screen theme (IAP).
Instead of cluttering up your home screen with tons of app shortcuts just add a single MRU widget.
All your most recently used apps show up automatically, ordered by most recently used or most used.
FEATURES
Blacklist allows you to exclude any applications you don't want showing up in the widget.
Whitelist allows you to include only applications you select in the widget.
Customizable grid dimensions
Force right to left layout, for users with larger devices
'Most recently used' and 'Most used' modes
Icon pack support
Per application icon selection
Lots more styling options that allow you to create a widget which perfectly fits your home screen's theme
IMPORTANT
Requires Lollipop device with usage stats access, you will be prompted to allow access if it is not already granted
Some Samsung and LG devices are missing the Usage Stats APIs and are therefore incompatible. Check in device security settings for 'Apps with usage access' (near the bottom) to see if your device is compatible.
To hide Google App from widget blacklist 'Voice Search'
Marshmallow users may want to disable battery optimization in Battery settings
REVIEWS
A must have little app
Out performs all others
This app makes use of the Usage Stats API introduced in Android 5.0 Lollipop. You will be asked to enable access to Usage Stats upon first run.
Please let us know if you find any bugs. Thanks!

Sorry to hear that. :crying:
Does your Note 4 have an 'Apps with usage access' option in device security settings? Near the bottom?
Love the idea but haven't actually tried it yet. One question/request...would it be possible to have these in a regular homepage folder?

Thank you. My reasoning is that I like to keep my homepage fairly clean/simple/minimal. The widget is a little much, but if I could have all those apps behind just a single icon it would be fantastic.
Either way, good work. Android FTW

I just pushed an update to Google Play (v0.4) that allows for a 1xN grid. So you could have a tall column then shink it down to one home screen space, making it vertically scrollable.
Functionally similar concept to Hangar's widget, would be interesting to see where this goes
I def like the idea. Would it be possible to get like a contextual widget that shows apps by location for example home, work, out and about gym.. Car etc something like how the HTC sense home widget work's?

Icon label color is based on background color. Dark backgrounds have white text and light background have dark text. If the background is transparent then text color is based on the launcher wallpaper.

Glad to hear, some other Note 4 users were having issues. I'm pretty sure it's Samsung removed some of the Usage Stats APIs.

I've got icon pack support coming in the next version. :good:

This works for me. Thank you OP!
Just one request: I noticed that when you switch to 3 rows, the labels are not shown immediately. You still have to scroll down to see the labels on the bottom icons. It would look a lot better if you wouldn't have to scroll down. (2nd screenshot)

Should look into allowing icon packs to be applied to the widget.

I just don't get it with Samsung peeps... We have a list just pull out your spen and wow look at that, a list of apps that I currently with my spen. Oh about the list of recent apps... Hold down the home key... I can pick from 20 apps that I had launched. Didn't use an app to do it.
