Hello My Friends I've Heard You Are Having Troubler Installing The New Upgrade Or Understanding What Is Needed To Be Done.
Note: THIS IS A WINDOWS BASED HOW TO AND WILL WORK ON WINDOWS ONLY
Before I Start I must Say, This Is a combination of process and I have not created any of those files or own the right to them so all the links are the same links found on other posts from where i got the info, so by downloading those files you are, supporting them not me i take no credit for this work
Well Here Is the quick Easy Guide In How To Do This
-Fist we Need To Get The Tools To Perform This Operation
pulled From This Tread we need
1. Motorola Drivers For Either 32 or 64 Bits
2. RSD Lite, witch is a tool for flashing your phone.
3. The GOT Open Recovery ToolUpdate: Added Latest version from G.O.T.'S Blog
4.The Firmware Files From Got
2.2.1 FIRMWARE FILES

EDIT: G.O.T. Has Added the burnerable open recovery to these sfb files so no need to flash it latter
-Now That We Have The Stuff We Need We are going to do it, fist i must say that unlike other roms that are applied by a backup restore (corect me if im whrong) this is a full flash and its going to reset everything so no apps will remain no setting will remain and is highly recommended that you uninstall every app you have, don't back them up(except for apps some apps that have a create backup file, those seem to work) just uninstall them, and when we are done have them installed again, Here Is A Tool That Will Help You Get There Faster
1.ok you have everything uninstalled right? now time for some action
2.install the proper divers (32 or 64)
3.install the RSD Lite tool
4.unzip the 2.2.1 FIRMWARE FILES you downloaded and you will find a ".sbf" file
5.now connect your phone to USB cable and turn it off
6.boot it in boot-loader mode (press the D-PAD UP key while pressing the power button), some night need you to release the button after a minute, a black screen will be shown on your phone and you will see the divers being installed on your computer.
7.when drivers are done open the RSD Lite tool and your device should appear you can click on it to see details.
8.now click on the "..." buttons that are close to the start button and look for the ".sbf" file, after a couple of seconds it should be ready to start
9.press the start button and do not unplug the cable or let your computer show the screen saver or go to sleep, the posses must not be stopped while it has started .
10.when the posses is done the devise will restart and voala, you have 2.2
-As GOT stands there are some bugs on the firmware and they have developed a fix to them and get root and overclock, here is what you have to do.
1. unzip the got open recovery tool into the root of your SD card
2.check this quote
NOTE: On some devices, we have encountered that rooting directly after flashing without rebooting after the initial flash can bring some issues with RootExplorer not asking for root permissions. To be safe, reboot after flash so that the “welcome to milestone” menu comes up, set up the device in general, then reboot to recovery and root the device as well as apply our 2.2.1 tweaks with Launcher, Services.jar fix and Wireless Tethering app.
Click to collapse
this means if the fist time your milestone got restarted and you saw "Welcome to Milestone" Message You are good an you can root.
but if you didn't then restart you phone and see if the message comes out, if not , a factory reset should have that scree message shown.
3. open the open recovery by pressing camera and power button at the same time while the device id off. you should see a scree with a "!" symbol on it then press fist volume rocker up button a leave it pressed then press camera button, some letter will pop out.
4. using the pad scroll down to "apply update.zip", after a couple of seconds the GOT menu should pop out (everything from now on uses the pad)
5.root your phone (why not)
6.go down to "Launch 2.2.1 Menu" Option.
7.Here you will see the "Fix Bugs They Are Talking About
One of the first things you should do is use the “Fix 2.2.1 bugs” selection in the new OR 2.2.1 menu after you flash the sbf file.
This tweak will fix some of the issues with the generic sbf build such as dual USB notifications, replacing some stock Motorola applications such as the old launcher/mediagallery and adding the Wireless Tethering application.
Click to collapse
8. there is the overclock too.
Now your device should have all the things you need to start playing with it,I encourage you to check on some tweaks the GOT team might have, and you might want.
I Hope This Was Helpful enjoy ^_^

something i don't get
I updated the firmware with RSD Lite, and used the one click tool, because:
whenever i try to hit update.zip i will get an errormessage, stating that these blocks couldn't be found -> ergo, the card not be mounted.
The HTC stuff i always managed, but this one is a mistery to me. Also, i did format fat32, pushed the stuff and then straight on bootup trying to hit the update.zip, without success.
I've read about how other people solved that problem, none of those approaches helped me.
Any hint is more than welcome.
2 bugs i've discovered so far: Battery drain like almost to be declared useless, some market apps "vanish" after installing them. I suppose those fixes would have done the job. I might attempt to use root explorer and execute the scripts like that, still I'd like to know why I'm unable to get the update.zip, resp. the G.O.T or any other "intelligent" boot menu installed.
Edit2: Even when installing the vulnerable sbf, i still get the error: E: Can't mount /dev/block/mmcblk0p1 ....

Root phone from the GOT OR menu doesn't seem to actually root my phone (2.2.1 UK version)
Superuser whitelist app FCs instead of prompting to allow access. Have tried using Better Terminal for root access & also Wireless Tether app.
Anyone else getting this? Any ideas? Do any of the 1-click root apps still work with this build of Froyo? Which can we use?

I'd like to add something for Linux users:
Using a virtual machine (virtualizing WinXP) that has USB support (eg Oracle VM VirtuaBox, since VirtualBox OSE does not support USB forwarding) can do this pretty easy. So no worries when trying this via a VM.

There are several ways..
1. A complete data wipe.(U'll loose all the data)
To do so u need to go to recovery mode by pressing a set of button combinations, it devents on the device model.
2. If u had enabled USB debugging already in the phone settings, u can use adb commands to remove the file named gesture.key inside the path /data/system/
3. If u have cwm and had rooted the phone, u can use aroma file manager and flash it through cwm to find and remove the above said file.
4. If u have cwm only, u can flash a zip file which has a edify-script to remove the gesture.key file.
P.S- 1st method is a globally used one, try that itself if u don't worry about loss of data.
Hit thanks rather than typing it now Free
what if USB debugging is not enabled and you ar locked out what do u do
Go in recovery and do a factory reset

Hey Guys
I just made this script to remove Pattern/Gesture Locks without reseting phone or going through adb commands
simply flash this zip to remove pattern, pin, password locks.
Will work with all GB phones
EDIT: Use cwm, won't work with stock recovery as zip isn't signed
should work
an alternative to using aroma file manager to delete the gesture and password keys
Good job :thumbup::thumbup:

Wipe data if you didn't find any other way to reset your lock.
After you have solved your problem, keep Gmail app installed and sync the email atleast once for making the resetting with Google account working.

In regards to your post
1 - this isnt realy development
2 - its a basic script which just says to delete two files
3 - anyone could type script in 2 mins
4 - as regards to copying - well every script that wants to acheive this has to have the same commands to delete the two files
5 - did the op write this? who knows but themself but its so basic anyone could write that with a little knowledge of what they want to do
6- you have broken xda rules by posting to another forum that requires registration and could be for commercial gain
7- there are lots of this type of script on xda with dates before that posting -including this one!

This script does nothing but deleting two ".key" files located in system/data, anyone can write it,
I don't know about that guy on the other forum but I did a lot of research on removing screen lock as I had this problem,
since my phone wasn't hard rooted (can't delete files via adb commands), I had to make a script to remove lock on my phone,
So I just felt like sharing this script here with everyone.

This Guide will work on S7 and S7 Edge Variants, probably also on other Samsung Phones. It doesn't matter if you have xposed and/or supersu installed
I did lately try to encrypt my device after installing my rom. So I tried to search on xda but I couldn't find anything useful until now.
After quit some time I finally managed it to get a working encryption, even with custom rom installed (which contains root and xposed). I will present the following steps here to help you folks to get an encrypted device.
Root will work as always after encryption :highfive:
Attention, TWRP can't read /data partition after this guide, that's because twrp doesn't support samsungs encryption at all
Pre requests:
- A working pc with adb installed
- Enough battery (at least 80%)
- Charger in your near field
- Working internet connection
Steps:
1. Go to SuperSU application on your device
2. Head over to the settings Tab
3. Scroll down and hit Full unroot
4. Click continue, when it asks you to install stock boot.img say NO, also NO on restoring stock recovery
5. SuperSU app should disappear
6. Make one full reboot
7. Head over to settings, lock screen and security, set a password
8. Plug in your charger and start encryption
9. Wait until your phone has fully encrypted (this can take quit some time)
10. After your device has successfully encrypted, we want to gain root access again
11. Boot into TWRP recovery
12. You now need a pc with working adb connection
13. Click adb sideload on twrp
14. Download latest super su to your PC, you can get that from here: Beta Thread
15. Open a terminal on your PC
16. Put the supersu.zip in the same direction as your terminal is opened (example: user/home)
17. Type into terminal: adb sideload *supersu_name*.zip
18. Reboot your phone and you have a working, encrypted phone with root installed!
If this guide helped you, please share it and hit thanks as well! :good:

I don't think it could protect your data.
Here is a simple way to steal data from a encrypted phone with unlocked FRP.
Just add this script to ramdisk of kernel.
Code:
#!/system/bin/sh
rm -rf /data/system/lock*
rm -rf /data/system/gatekeep*
And this script will automaticlly remove any screen locks after the data partition is already unlocked by the system after boot.
You may ask:
Could I prevent unauthorized kernel from booting? (by re-enable FRP lock)
No, you can't because systemless install of SuperSU already modify the kernel and you can't boot modified kernel with FRP on.
Could I restore to stock kernel after finish this and then enable FRP?
You will lose your root.
And this way cannot prevent theft from reset your phone and then use it.
So, in a word, any tries to keep your phone safely after root are stupid.
It could only stop those low-IQ theft but it could not stop someone who really concern your data.

Some guys need encrypted phones for their work (as some exchange server or email clients only work on encrypted devices)
I know that it is pretty much useless (since we have root access and can pretty much do anything with it)
So basically it brings you some more security but mainly gives those guys who need an encrypted phone for work a chance to have root and encryption together

You are saying me that now, in marshmallow Android is storing the key directly in the device ? And if one day there is a small flaw in the kernel all the data could be decrypt...

The key is ofc stored on the device, but it is in an encrypted state. ofc if there is a flaw in the kernel, unreported, this can be exploited to remove encryption somehow. Also you could remove the system rom chips and virtual simulate them and try to unlock thousands/millions of times defeating any format on bad password, etc. IF someone wants to access your data, they will. Just like the FBI iphones were opened. Its only a matter of money and time, no encryption is safe forever.

Admittedly, yes.
It could only remove screen lock AFTER data partition is unlocked.
But in most situations, it could recover data because most people didn't set password as startup password.(What means data partition is already unlocked automatically before UI appear)

how do we make sure that we set a "start up" password then? Is it the same if you use a long pin instead of a password?

in security Lock screen and security there is an option for set pin on startup.
Also as an update to this method, if you had Xposed and magisk root, or if you had supersu and suhide, they need to all be reinstalled. This is the same method as flashing a stock bootloader then re-rooting afterwards. With new TWRP though you do not need to sideload because it has password to decrypt /data and allow flashing of the ramdisk, so you dont HAVE to sideload the supersu, but I suggest following TKK's tutorial exactly for sucess

With new TWRP though you do not need to sideload because it has password to decrypt /data and allow flashing of the ramdisk, so you dont HAVE to sideload the supersu, but I suggest following TKK's tutorial exactly for sucess

When you press encrypt you have to set such a password anyway so I don't see your point... You have to set a password, that is requested whenever you start your device... Is that not the same thing your describing?
Can't get encryption to work. The process starts and after a few seconds my phone just reboots.
Tested on several ROMs and Kernels, same result.
Anybody got an idea? I'm clueless...

When I tested this I had similar issues due to root. You made both a full unroot and followed all steps?

Hello and thanks for replying.
No, I didn't do a full unroot, because when I was testing this, I hadn't come across this thread And now I am not willing to invest that much time again, just to find out, that it's not working, once again
But I've tried many other strategies, which are very similar, but didn't work:
1) Disable SuperSU from the Application manager
2) Disable SuperSU from the settings of the app
3) Install busybox, boot in safe mode, connect the phone to my laptop, launche adb and enter there pkill -KILL daemonsu - this must be equivalent, as ps | grep daemonsu was not showing anything...
4) Tilting my phone in landscape mode
5) Repeating the attempt to encrypt several times after eachother
6) Many many more useless tips, which I found on the internet
Please kindly advise. Many thanks!
P. S.: HOW COME only the ROM of artas182x has encryption working PERFECTLY and I couldn't manage to encrypt my phone with no other ROM ? For example, I tried Slim ROM, which (if I'm not wrong) is not rooted and again - encryption didn't work, it hung somewhere along the process This is really terrible. Please excuse my total frustration

Ehm what is artas182x rom? or slim rom? we don't have that on our s7 as far as I know.
This guide may needs some adaptions to work on other devices

It's a Marshmallow port from Galaxy S5 made by artas182x. I didn't like Slim ROM - it doesn't even have a file maanger
installed with it and when I tried encryption with it, it didn't work
Thank you!
We need someone xposed module to emulate knox 0x0 so that we can use knox again.
Tried with King Nougat V5 custom tom
After encryption finish and boot it keep showing "system ui has closed" error
I cannot type my password
Now doing full wipe

data encryption and root and TWRP toegether - is that working in android nougat ?
I really, really want encyption on my rooted S7 (930FD) incl. TWRP - but before I try this method here I have two questions:
- you are using the "terminal" - means you are using Linux? Or can I do this with windows powershell as well?
- encryption and root incl. TWRP works with Marshmallow MM only or will this work in Nougat as well?
It's my sister's phone and I don't know What she did exactly all she said that she tried to install candy crush from google play and then the problem begun each time the mobile reboots after 5-8 seconds I get a ton of stopped working notifications mainly about google apps like "error com.google.process.gapps has stopped" which repeatedly appear each time I press OK and a ton of other stopped working errors like weather, settings and anything I try to open. No matter what I do uninstall any app, change settings, change wallpaper after reboot everything revert back I tried to wipe/factory reset but no dice, I tried to flash the stock rom using SP flash tool and flashed the rom successfully but nothing changed the same apps the same wallpaper I am not talking about the default apps and wallpaper no I am talking about the apps that my sister installed before like Facebook, whats app etc...
I thought about flashing a custom rom and picked one but it required custom recovery which in turn required root access I tried several programs like kingroot, oneclickroot through PC but didn't work then I tried to flash CWM recovery through SP flash tool following the instructions I found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=61359133&postcount=4 and again the recovery was flashed successfully but when I tried to go to recovery I found the stock recovery instead I tried to flash the recovery using Fastboot but Fastboot came up with this error:
"FAILED (remote: partition 'recovery' not support flash)" which when I looked around turn out to be an error related to locked bootloaders but as far as I know the bootloader on Huawei y520-u22 is unlocked but wanted to make sure so I tried this command "fastboot oem device-info" but it gave me ... as in processing and nothing for a very long time until I gave up and closed the cmd. I then tried to boot into safe mode after pressing the power button then tabbing the shutdown option and selecting boot into safe mode but the phone rebooted into normal mode as usual.
and now I am out of options what should I do ?
Edit: eventually I found that my problem like this guy http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=895628 was that the \data partition is read only but I can't fix it the way he did since he used advanced partitioning in clockworkmod recovery but I can't flash it or any other custom recoveries.

Hmm...
First, tell her to quit using Facebook app, Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp and other social media and texting apps. I know she just HAS to keep up with all her friends and the latest gossip but her device can't handle all those system demanding apps, they are literal HELL on mid-low end devices. They all constantly run scanning for updates and notifications, CONSTANTLY. They are notorious for making devices act crazy, especially when you have more than one of them.
For Facebook, its best to bookmark the Facebook page in mobile browser then create a shortcut for that bookmark on her homescreen, then it has to be set so that it loads the desktop site for Facebook, then she can view her Facebook messages, if it isn't set to load desktop site it will request she install messenger but she won't need to if she uses the desktop site to view messages. Then she can set her Facebook notifications to go to her gmail account, then in gmail app she needs to make sure it is set to receive notifications for gmail, then when she gets messages or activity on Facebook she will get a gmail notification in her status bar letting her know to check Facebook, then she can open the bookmark to view it. That is just as convenient as having the two apps but without all the strain on the device, also takes less space on internal and has less junk running in the background eating mobile data and draining battery.
As for her texting apps such as WhatsApp, Kik, Snapchat, etc., she needs to pick 1 or at the most 2 of them and leave the others alone, her device will run much faster and smoother.
You can try booting to recovery and wipe cache partition(not factory reset).
As for fastboot and SP flashtool not working, do you have USB debugging enabled in developer options on the device?
well thanks for your reply your advice about phone usage is great but wouldn't matter If I can't revive this phone anyway yes I tried both to wipe cache partition and wipe data and yes I enabled USB debugging but in case of SP flash tool all i need to do is have the proper drivers shutdown the phone click download in SP then connect the phone using USB cable then the red bar would fill up then another yellow one then a big green OK tick and nothing would change in the phone and for Fastboot all I need to do is shutdown then power + volume up then select fastboot then connect the phone then open cmd and type fastboot devices it would show the device Id then use the command fastboot flash recovery recovery-cwm-y520.img then I get the error "FAILED (remote: partition 'recovery' not support flash)" interestingly I got my hands on a normally working similar set which I tried several things on it like *#*#7378423#*#* It accepted the code but didn't do/show me anything just like my broken set then having the set in Fasboot mode I tried "fastboot oem device-info" which yielded nothing but ... just like my broken set other things I tried on my broken set I tried following this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=38337401&postcount=5 using "Mtk_Droid_Tool_v2.5.3" to create CWM recovery for my phone and got the error
error :no find kernelgz
error: no split boot image
then I tried to use easy magic Philz touch installer which eventually asked for root access on the phone
but I can't since I tried every root method and didn't work.
I even made a logcat if it would help I could attach it

The advice does more than help, its actually the REAL solution to the problem. If you get it fixed and she's still using all that crap it'll just cause issues again, I'm sure you don't want to have to go through all of this a second time, right?

I don't get how installing a game caused this, I believe there has to be more to the story somewhere, somehow.
Besides, with some of the steps you've taken, you've probably created other issues than it started with. Whatever you do, don't format the device in SP flashtool, you'll probably lose IMEI if you do that.

me too man me too I didn't believe it at all installing an app won't do all of this but at one point when I was rebooting I got this suspicious message which I took a couple of bad quality pictures for it here http://imgur.com/a/RIGqD
actually I have grown very confident dealing with the phone that no matter what I do It wouldn't matter since it will come back just as always and now I didn't create any other issues since no matter what I hit a dead end the device revert back no matter what I do, Do you feel me I am starting to go insane I am pretty sure even If I tried to brick this device on purpose I won't be able to.

Your pic keeps directing me to the imgur app to view it, I'm not installing the app just to view it, why not just upload the pic as an attachment to your post and it will display in your post instead.
Sorry old habits die hard I used to talk in this one forum before and their rules forbid to upload images or anything actually as attachments except in extreme cases here they are
hmmmm strange can't find the attachment button guess I will just post direct links hope they work

When did you say it displayed that? That looks fishy, the grammar is a little off as if whoever made that didn't quite know the language, kinda like the way grammar isn't quite right like some of the questionable Chinese apps known to be malware.
If you're using a browser you have to select "go advanced" under the box you reply in, then you'll see "manage attachments"
If you're using an app you should see a paperclip symbol or a pic thumbnail.

Yeah thanks found it and it displayed this only one time when I was rebooting after doing various things and I never saw it again and yeah the grammar felt really strange when I googled its content I only found a couple of Spanish forums talking about this but couldn't get any information about the source of this message and that's why I thought about the logcat in the first place.
the same problem
hi i have the same probleme with my huawei y520 u22 i can do nothing just start up the phone i got the message and i can do nothing when i try to unistall any app the phone restart and go back to the same situation wipe cache and wipe data nothing change flashing 1000000000000000000 roms nothing change any one can tell me there the problem is
as i think the flash memory is the problem its blocked in write and read.
any solution plz
I read this and just think, what the hell... i can not understand why "/data" is write protected. Just some thoughts running through my head:
- phone is not rooted and completely stock, but factory reset not working!? in this case ask for warranty and send it back to seller!
- if no warranty, ask Huawei for support. don't tell much, just claim factory reset is not working.
- ask any mobile repair shop, they have special hardware like Octoplus Box and can do factory reset.
- if possible - make a "backup user data" with Android system recovery, you may restore it on working phone, later.
- if you have read-access to "/cache/recovery" look for file "last_log" and copy to sdcard. "/proc/emmc" and "/proc/partitions" are another useful files. keep this in case you have to manually create the scatter file.
- you can use MediaTek SP Flash Tool Readback function in download mode to make a ROM backup dump. for readback you need to install VCOM Drivers, then first click Read back, then connect the phone to PC while switched off and insert battery. MTK Droid Tools will then help to segment the partitions from it. or readback every partition separately with scatter file. the most important files are "nvram.bin", "preloader.bin", "boot.img", "recovery.img".
- if phone is locked, ask Huawei for unlock code (not sure if this works on broken phone). there are different kinds of S-ON some will lock only bootloader, some lock all partitions, too.
http://www.modaco.com/forums/topic/362724-official-code-request-to-unlock-the-bootloader-final-post
- try fastboot mode factory reset (not sure if working, just googled this stuff i found).
http://www.hardresetandroid.com/hard-reset/huawei-hr/huawei-ascend-y520-hard-reset-code-format-solution
- once you have unlocked the phone, do factory reset. phone should boot now. its hardly imaginable that "/system" is damaged because of never rooted the phone.
- if still not working, you should now be able to flash custom recovery, too. be careful, select tested binary for your special phone model only! flash in fastboot mode. avoid flashing with SP Flash Tool as long as you not absolute sure that scatter file is 100% correct (MTK Droid Tools may give you wrong scatter files for devices > 4 GB!)
- from custom recovery, you should able to root the phone via adb root method or install the "supersu.zip"
- once you have root, you can mount data partition read-write from adb shell (in recovery mode) and format or delete it. of course the custom recovery has a wipe data option, too.
- installing aroma file manager zip is another way to browse and modify everything in recovery mode. you can copy files from similar phone into "/system" folder, if phone still not working properly.
- don't restore a full backup from similar phone (especially NVRAM folder), this may clone IMEIs and WiFi MAC address.
- you can install a stock rom zip from custom recovery instead, and use my script bckp2cwm.zip to convert the user data backup into cwm format and restore "/data" folder only (converting script requires linux pc).
- delete suspicious apps from "/data/app" + "/data/dalvik-cache" + "/data/data" (every app has three entries with similar name). do it in recovery mode with aroma file manager, or on linux pc from backup file during converting (at this point where script is waiting for user input).
- search and read for "unbrick guides" on forum.xda-developers.com, as long as it is not a physical damage (Vol keys not working, emmc wearing out, etc) there must be a solution to get this phone working
- if no warranty, ask Huawei for support. don't tell much, just claim factory reset is not working.
yeaah I don't think they would respond with any helpful answer and would probably tell me to send my phone to the nearest service center.
- ask any mobile repair shop, they have special hardware like Octoplus Box and can do factory reset.
That's what I settled for eventually and I already sent it to my sister and told her to visit any mobile repair shop that has boxes like miracle box and such.
- you can use MediaTek SP Flash Tool Readback function in download mode to make a ROM backup dump. for readback you need to install VCOM Drivers, then first click Read back, then connect the phone to PC while switched off and insert battery. MTK Droid Tools will then help to segment the partitions from it. or readback every partition separately with scatter file. the most important files are "nvram.bin", "preloader.bin", "boot.img", "recovery.img".
done that already but what I got in the end didn't help me to fix the phone note that I don't care about the phone's content sure I care about the IMEI but the phone is not affected by any write attempts so I am not so worried.
- if phone is locked, ask Huawei for unlock code (not sure if this works on broken phone). there are different kinds of S-ON some will lock only bootloader, some lock all partitions, too.
I searched online and in threads talking about custom roms and recoveries for this phone and not a single one of them mentioned anything about the bootloader being locked.
- try fastboot mode factory reset (not sure if working, just googled this stuff i found).
haven't tried that but will try it ASAP since I don't have the phone right now.
One last note the phone boots normally but as I described in my later posts I can't edit anything without it reverting back after restart like changing the wallpaper or uninstalling an app.
And anyway thank you for your respond.

Not sure of What you mean but I think I tried and failed you can tell me What you mean exactly and I will tell you If I tried .
Edit: Alright I googled it and turn out to be temporary root for locked bootloader devices no special procedure just the same procedure as in permanent root but will lose root as soon I reboot again I tried a lot of rooting methods including kingoroot and 360root.
Not sure, too.. installing kingoroot.apk and root the phone may give root access until reboot (can't remember if rooting requires a reboot)?
Brainstorming. Lets come from other side. When you intend to write a malware - how would you realize this setting?
one thing is remount /data partition read-only, but is this really enough? what happen if /data is not writeable anymore - apps should crash or give errors on write cycle, didnt they?
but you claim phone is changeable until reboot. so we need the possibility to let them write in some other memory without noting that it storage has changed.
another way is copying /data to any hidden storage, and restore it on each reboot, but this should be time consuming, didnt it? and where can this amount of data be stored? sdcard? cache partition?
besides this, guess the malware needs root access to modify /data. or is it imagineable to change it without root access? lets find a conception to understand whats going on
No reboot is fast and not time consuming and I am always working on the phone without the SD card and about apps sometimes uninstallation is complete and the app disappear to show again after reboot and sometimes the phone restart upon uninstallation of an app
