Rooting, CWM recovery, custom roms for INTEX AQUA FLASH - Development thread

I just bought this Intex Aqua flash and its awesome with performance and display....it has all the configuration of high end devices..
Rooting INTEX AQUA FLASH
i have rooted this device and im sharing and opening a new thread for development of this awesome device:fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed:
first step; first and foremost install the correct ADB drivers to ur computer for intex aqua flash using pdanet software
http://www.topnotchtablets.com/installADBdriver
use the above link for installing ADB drivers
please exit the pdanet software from the system tray before start rooting because it will interfere with ADB
second step; root intex aqua flash using Root_script_by_Bin4ry_v17.zip
- Download and extract this zip file: http://www.mediafire.com/?wadbxnnxa8kf4b4
- Enable USB debugging on your intex aqua flash . (Go to Settings > Developer Options > Check mark “USB Debugging” and then tap OK button.
- Now connect your intex aqua flash to your computer via USB cable. The drivers should be installed automatically (or use Pdanet to install drivers)
- Go to the folder named “Root_script_by_Bin4ry_v17″ and run the “Runme.bat” file. This should open the command prompt.
- Choose the Normal mode by typing ‘1‘ and hit Enter button from your keyboard.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the intex aqua flash rooting process. Your intex aqua flash will reboot during the process after which Bin4ry will copy some files to your device.
- When your phone is back ON, you should find the superuser SU app in your app drawer. If it’s there, your intex aqua flash have been root
fully working Clockworkmod Recovery for INTEX AQUA FLASH
For cwm recovery for intex aqua flash download the recovery.img file below and put it on ur phone storage root then open mobile uncle MTK tools click update recovery and select recovery.img and click ok....now it has flashed cwm recovery on ur device go to cwm either by combination button press or through mobileuncle tool....start backup ur rom....enjoy

I have tested them
As the phones are fully the same
I am sure that it will work on Aqua Flash
BUT
It's on you that you have to flash them or not

Thank you so much jakhass...you know wat it happened its worked......thanks for ur share..I did backup of my stock rom but cwm folder contains 2folders with numbers which contain files of only about 12mb...wat to do is that backup working properly?

I don't think that the Backup is working properly
As a CWM Backup can't be that small
I suggest you to do Backup again
And if it don't work properly
Try to use CWM Recovery which you don't flashed
As there are two CWM Recovery

I flashed that too is working....now the clockworkmod folder has 2 folder named backup and blobs...wat is that blobs folder? It has the size of 672mb....overall the backup size is 683mb....is that ok?

Recently bought a new XOLO A700. The handset was beautiful, but I was missing something..... Rooting and other cool stuff, that I used to do on my old Android Phone.
So ported this CWM to our Awesome phone.
INSTRUCTIONS:

i was fed up searching on net and was gonna make it myself
i used mito a322 (clone of xolo a700) cwm recovery
n it turns out to be it has destroyed my recovery n i cant get back stock recovery on my xolo a700 n i tried urs cwm too but no luck

Temporary CWM is only available for Samsung phones.
You can use permanent CWM, and can flash stock recovery afterwards if you want to go back to stock.

can this work on unroot device
and is there any button combination to enter recovery mode...

No, to install CWM it is necessary to root.
To enter into recovery:
•Power off the phone.
•Press and hold Power+VolumeUp buttons at the same time.

tried any cutom roms that work with the a700 ?
saw a few at the mitoa322 lounge
gonna try em out

non of the mito a322 rom works .. it flashes well .. even boots up but there is no display . one of the rom boots up (jb) as the buttons light up ..
the other one plays boot sound and lights work but screen goes white slowly ..most likely need to flash another boot.img from our phone .
anyone with better xp can fix it maybe for u guys :good:

confirmed working with xolo stock rom :good:
ive given up the xolo n bought myself the SONY XPERIA ZL
See you guys around .. the cwm saved me from spoiling the phone again
all the best for roms and development ..
hopefully the mito roms work after some fixes

deep sleep problem
i tried installing galaxy s4 rom on my canvas 2 plus v2 rom.. and when i lock the screen, dim light keeps showing and after the dim light is off, device needs to be restarted. i reverted back to my stock rom but the problem has continued..
please help!!

this works great but kindly add that they might also flash the V1 rom available here and then flash custom rom. it works aswell. just my 2 cents. thanks for your help.

I am currently using sgalaxy v.2 rom..whenever I flash a zip file in CWM it says installation aborted.I tried many times even signing the zip file eventhough i get the same error.plzz somebody help..

Redownload the zip u r trying to install. It might be corrupted.

hi... iam using Micromax a74 (canvas fun). i have a 4.4 kitkat rom for micromax a74. i was downloaded it... but i dont know how to backup my default rom, and how to install the kitkat rom. if causes any problem by installing kitkat rom, then can i restore my default rom safely??

go to play store search for ROM tool box lite install it
open it
goto options>ROM installer>there click ROM installer at the top left corner >Backup&Restore>Backup Current ROM
give a name to your backed up rom for your reference

in your sdcard only or in ext card
better you first take a backup of your rom
and search it with your file explorer

i cant able to find media_profiles.xml file in system/etc folder
its actually not there
i was actually trying to increase bitrate, my set recording video in [email protected] but bit rate is low, i was hopping 17 around but it is 9.5

1. Install mobile uncle tool on your device
2. put cwm on sdcard[ rename file to recovery]
3. open mobile uncle
4. click recovery update
5. select cwm
6. reboot
How to root your device
1.Download and install attached file on your device
2.click on root
3.wait for process
4.done
5.Download supersu from play store
6.Now your phone is rooted

Backlight button duration
hi everyone
do you know if there is a way to set the duration of the backlight buttons (capacitive buttons) on the a290. the fact that it switches off before the screen or switches on only after touching it.. is driving me nuts.
Is there a tried and tested way using xposed/ gravity box etc?

Just download the app called Backlight Manager by this you can keep your backlight on as long as the screen is on. Sorry you cannot set a particular duration though.
Note: You may face one problem, once you switch on this app or restart your phone your screen lock may not work. To solve this you will have to set your screen lock to slide and set it back to your preferred screen lock (Pattern, Pin or Password)

but when i check using root checker.it says it is not rooted.
