Recently bought a new XOLO A700. The handset was beautiful, but I was missing something..... Rooting and other cool stuff, that I used to do on my old Android Phone.
So ported this CWM to our Awesome phone.
INSTRUCTIONS:
1) Root your phone. ( http://goo.gl/5c0xQY )
2) After rooting, install "Mobileuncle Tools" from Play Store.
3) Download "recovery.img" , attached below.
4) Copy the downloaded recovery.img to the root of your SD-Card.
5) Open Mobileuncle Toolshttp://goo.gl/5c0xQY and click on "Recovery Update".
6) Click on recovery.img.
The Recovery will be installed on your XOLO A700. :victory:

i used mito a322 (clone of xolo a700) cwm recovery
n it turns out to be it has destroyed my recovery n i cant get back stock recovery on my xolo a700 n i tried urs cwm too but no luck

Temporary CWM is only available for Samsung phones.
You can use permanent CWM, and can flash stock recovery afterwards if you want to go back to stock.
can this work on unroot device
and is there any button combination to enter recovery mode...
No, to install CWM it is necessary to root.
To enter into recovery:
•Power off the phone.
•Press and hold Power+VolumeUp buttons at the same time.

tried any cutom roms that work with the a700 ?
saw a few at the mitoa322 lounge
gonna try em out
non of the mito a322 rom works .. it flashes well .. even boots up but there is no display . one of the rom boots up (jb) as the buttons light up ..
the other one plays boot sound and lights work but screen goes white slowly ..most likely need to flash another boot.img from our phone .
anyone with better xp can fix it maybe for u guys :good:

ive given up the xolo n bought myself the SONY XPERIA ZL

Hey guys Here is the rooting process for the New celkon A119 HD (works perfectely with win7-32bit)(may work with 64 bit but not tested)
Install the drivers first
1) Download the below files
2) flash the recovery using sp flash tool(google for how to flash recovey using sp flashtool)
3) Now copy the su.zip in sd card
4) flash it in cwm recovery(press the power on by pressing the Vol + button and press Power. to boot in cwm)
5) congratulations your device should now be rooted

Connect the phone using the USB cable and select MTP Device instead of USB Storage.
USB Debugging must be selected.
Then install the PdaNetA4126 setup file to install the drivers for the Phone.
Once installed, open the celkon one click rooter folder and run the RUN.BAT file..It will root the phone. That's it..

Dude....thanks for helping....
but its done everything but its not showing "SU" app in app drawer ......
can u tell me how to root ...plz Dude.
download any one of the tools from above thread and open the script.
next connect the device and select root options.(remember you need have installed adb drivers.)(to install drivers download pda net and install it)
now select root option and dont disconnect the device until the rooting process in successful(try for both the tools given above)

It is working good. I have removed most of the factory stuff/apps. Battery life is good now.

I sold my Celkon A119Q Signature HD and brought Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 I9200 phone.
Successfully rooted it and has CWM on it now..
to flash cwm download this file

Old version of custom recoveries are still in the op as xda attachment. If you want you can use that also. But that is no more needed as i had already ported the latest releases of the CWM, TWRP and COT and Carliv touch recovery which is the modified CWM modded for touch .

First of all tell me weather you phone hanged when booted up or it stuck in the bootlogo... did u try the recoveries posted here... try the recoveries posted in the first post.. surely they'll work.. They are fully functional.. I recommend using sp flash tool or mobilr uncle tools for installing recoveries... post your problem clearly.. Then only I can help you..

Search google... I found it from gsm hosting... mostly the factory reset will do.. boot into recovery by pressing power and volume up button... and do a complete wipe.. if its not booting into recovery try to flash the recovery alone in sp flash tool in download mode.. that ll help you...

Bro.. why do you need jbed file... your phone supports installing java files already... if you really want jbed I'll post you.. actually jbed is an app for installing jar application in android.. celkon supports java application I think so...

you can download custom roms and install them.Infinity HD is a nice rom for a116. and Sameflare V4 is the best custom rom for a116.

Thanks for replying, I flashed a stock rom to the with 'SP FLASH TOOLS', it rebooted successfully but the problem was still there (cannot read internal or external memory), i tried going to recovery but it wasn't working either, every time i click something it just shows the 'broken recovey logo'

Hi thanks, after flashing the stock rom recovery and tried booting to it, it wouldn't work, it would show the recovery but when I click something (volume buttons) to move it would just show the 'recovery damaged' logo, which restricts me from flashing a custom ROM

get a stock backup and install via sp flash tools. there are several tutorials for that. it solve 99.9% of such issues

Backlight button duration
hi everyone
do you know if there is a way to set the duration of the backlight buttons (capacitive buttons) on the a290. the fact that it switches off before the screen or switches on only after touching it.. is driving me nuts.
Is there a tried and tested way using xposed/ gravity box etc?

Just download the app called Backlight Manager by this you can keep your backlight on as long as the screen is on. Sorry you cannot set a particular duration though.
Note: You may face one problem, once you switch on this app or restart your phone your screen lock may not work. To solve this you will have to set your screen lock to slide and set it back to your preferred screen lock (Pattern, Pin or Password)

So Let's Start with Rooting...

Steps to Root Spice Mi-492
1.Download Framaroot...
2.Install It....
3.Now Open it up and select Boromir Exploit, Hit OK and Reboot...
4.That's it...

Installing CWM on Spice Mi-492
1.Download And install MobileUncle Tools From
http://d-h.st/oEj
2.Download This Recovery from
http://tinylink.in/492cwm
3.Paste it in your SD CARD......
4.Open MUT (MobileUncle Tools).....
5.From Your MUT Screen select Recovery Update....
6.A screen will open and from there select the recovery file you downloaded...
7.It Will Ask You to boot into CWM Mode.... Click Yes.....
Congrats You have installed CWM....

There aren't any Custom Roms Made for Spice Mi-492 but you can port ROMs and tweak your phone with Gravity Box without the need of Installing a new ROM...

XOLO a500s ROM to this phone...
He said that he just replaced the boot.img File and it works...
