ROM with best battery life - Samsung Galaxy SL i9003

Hi.I need some suggestions for a ROM with the best battery life available.Currently I am using CM10.2A4 by dhiru its awesome but the battery is draining quickly. It lasts about 18 hours on just sleeping and text messaging(no wifi ,no gps no 3g)
Please suggest some other ROM which has good battery life and is also stable.
Thanks.

Hi there,
Actually all the roms available for cm10.2 a4 have same battery life... Anyways slim rom sustained more juice for me. Try cm 11 it has more battery life than cm10.2 roms

One more question:Will the stock ROM's(DDLF2) have a greater battery life than the custom ROM's?

[Q] Best Nexus S Rom for battery

I have been using NScollab for a little bit but I have noticed that I eat about 10% battery every hour and that is on standby. What would you guys recommend as the Best Rom for battery life right now for Nexus S? Is there a better Kernel/Rom mix to use?
Thanks in advance for the help.
Stock ROM + TUV11 or XTEUV92.
Peter Alfonso's ROM
I am using about 50% per day.
I would say Oxygen 2.3.1. I've tried a few others, incluing BugLess Beast and I can honestly say that I like Oxygen the most. It's slick, I go to bed with 50% on my battery at night with about 2 hours screen time and is always on the latest version of the AOSP code. On 2.3.7 at the moment.

+1 for oxygen, or try carbon, based off oxygen
Sent from my SNES
cm7 nightly with its own kernel is not bad. i use 50% per day too.
Try SuperOSR its the most stable and quick that i have tasted

Best for battery life is stock.
Or you can always try Oxygen + TUV 10/ TEUV.

just a little question .. i am running CM9 RC1 and i find it less stable then CM9 RC0 and i dont know why but i feel like the battery drains out more quickly than before.
so if my main priority is battery life (along with some smoothness)
what other Rom i could think of? any suggestion ???
I don't agree that stock I'd better than custom rom. I'm using nexusMV, the battery performance is pretty good. So far I think it is best to use for my nexus s.

Resurrection Remix with trinity kernel, 1d7h and 29% of battery left

[Q] Which kernel to use with MIUI for best battery life

I was just wondering which kernel would be good to use on the NS with an MIUI rom for battery life? Been switching between Trinity's TUV10 and Matr1x's 10.5 and 9.5 cfs.
I usually get around 20-24 hours usage once it's off the charger. My usage is moderate... I listen to music for about an hour a day, check the news for about 15 mins.. a few texts and usually no calls.
Any of you guys out there using an MIUI rom but is setup more towards battery life rather than performance?
Thanks!
hardly archive that... MIUI is battery killer
i use franco , pretty good , you should have tried it , but latest version has not good battery life as before , hope it will improve...
------
personal advice , why don't you buy an additional battery ... then you won't have to worry battery life anymore
better yet , use 2G instead of 3G when you check up the news
Matr1x 11.0 man

Woah didn't know 11.0 was out already.
Thanks for the update.
Btw amazing kernel you have there

It would be nice to see a comparison of NS kernels (on the same conditions, of course)
I think i'll check your ROM in the next days, mathkid95
Now using matrix 11.0 cfs, 800/100 smartassv2, disabled deep idle. Performance is still pretty good and battery life has increased by a few hours

[Q] Stock or Custom rom for better battery

Hello all, I am wanting to get a good battery life on my mobile. So if I use a marmite kernel with stock jb will I get a better battery life or marmite kernel with rasbeanjelly will give better battery life.
What combo among the two I mentioned you all suggest for good battery life.
Thank you for reading.
Regards
I think that kernels have very little impact on power consumption (except if they running undervolted, downclocked or are broken in some way). More important thing is the ROM and apps that you use on daily base.
Best battery consuming ROM from my exp is CM10 stable with stock kernel, but maybe with 15-20 mins of screen time more than stock at most. Best tip for conserving power on NS and JB is to switch off 3G, Google Now and Location service when you don't need it.

Thanks for replying. But isn't people facing issues with cm10?
Regards
Perhaps with 10.1, but 10 stable, or the latest 20122012 nightly was pretty stable. I had one issue only with it - auto brightness was somewhat jerky... That's only battery wise.
Fastest ROM for me is MDO by knzo, RasbeanJelly mod which I am using right now. 3 and a half hours of screen time is same as 3 hours and 15 minutes. Either way I need to charge it at the end of the day.

Slimbean. Aokp is dead.

Which one is Better...Slimbean or Cm 10.1....
Try it, nobody can tell you which one is better.
It all depends on how you set up each ROM. A stock ROM can have better battery life than aftermarket. I don't base my choice off of battery because I always get excellent battery life out of any of them because I set them up for battery life, not performance.

Agreed. I believe at this stage of the game good battery life can be had on any reputable ROM.

Smartass2/deadline 1000/100 mhz (only about an hour on 3g)
I was out today, and had screen at max brightness using gps for directions, playing solitaire and using 3g for FB, email ect... I only got 6 hrs battery with 3.5 hrs screen time.. I really didn't think that lowering the brightness helped that much, as I usually don't have it at full, but there is a huge difference.. Over 50% drop in battery life..
A simple rom with rich dark kernel
If u want the best battery from your phone consider trying Rasbeanjelly ROM with matr1x kernel. This ROM and kernel has always given me the best battery life though this ROM is not as highly customizable as aokp, paranoid android etc.

RC2 isn't that old (eaven if they pussed RC4 now), SO I'm guessing you dont have it installed for a long time, stay with it a couple of days and let the sistem calibrate the battery properly, after a fiew charging cicles it will be fine...if that doesent work try bb6 with marmite or helly 4.1.2 with Devil kernel updated
I've been frustrated with the battery, as I use this phone as my daily.. I recently bought a 3800 mah battery and get about 7 hours of screen time with moderate to heavy use.. I'm a bit more reassured now

Is that the extended battery?
The one that makes the phone fat?
Yea! Exactly that one.. But I don't notice it too much to be honest.. My thumb does most of my phone work.. And sometimes I used to be stuck phone-less, so for me the weight is a small price to pay

I too play Ingress, if you're getting about 5 hours of play time you're doing very good. Most people that I play with get 2 hours max as Ingress is a client heavy app. Remember that playing Ingress is like streaming a movie to your phone and running GPS. The data/Wi-Fi and GPS use a lot of power as they are always on with your screen. I have found that if I tether my phone to another device and just use Wi-Fi for data I get about another 30 min of play time, or if I just use the phone as a hot-spot I will get about 4 hours of play on my N7 with out recharging.
