Hello, I updated my windows to 8.1 now I cannot install any adb driver for my xperia ray. Therefore I couldn't plug my phone in flashmode. I also installed Sony PC Companion 2.1, and still pc doesn't recognize the flasmode. Is there anyone knows the solution?

Disable driver signing. The ADB drivers are not properly signed so it fails installing. Google how to disable driver signing.

I get this error when i try to connect my tab to adb ..do you guys have any ideas what i can do to make it to work?
I mention that i have the drivers(from Kies),usb debugging is enabled and adb works on my phone.
I believe you need the android usb drivers supplied by google to get it to connect. They can be downloaded using the sdk package manager. Also I'm not sure it will work having the Samsung drivers installed and you may have to uninstall them first.
they are installed already since i installed the whole sdk manager pack

What drivers are showing up when you plug in the device? If it says Samsung then you don't have the android drivers installed. And I believe you can't have both installed only one or the other as only one will load when you plug in the device not both.
I have the Samsung Android ADB Interface driver(although is not showing when i plug in the device) and the drivers which came with sdk manager

When you plug the device in, under Device Manager in Windows, there should be listed Android Composite ADB Interface under the device. If not the Google USB drivers were not installed properly.
yeah I dont think my theme is the culprit, there are many reasons why ADB wouldnt show devices. Also Heimdall>Zadig is good for drivers.
run sdk manager and install latest google drivers as well.
are you on Windows OS?
nope, not your theme its the culprit..cuz i didnt install it and i cant install it cuz of no adb connection which is required by a tool named AutoDEOTool1.0.3
I installed latest google driver via sdk manager too..
yes,on Win 7 64 bits
*pulling hair*
I didn't have my usb cable yesterday to check it out but adb actually works with the Samsung drivers. Device Manager>Android Phone>SAMSUNG Android ADB Interface. And when I type the command "adb devices" it shows up. This works both if you plug the tablet in wihtout powering it up and when its turned on so I'm not sure what your problem is. I do have Kies installed on the laptop too so yours should be working if you installed the sdk and drivers correctly.
Which Tab do you have? I have the 6210 unlocked wifi only, it could be other models work differently. Not sure if you have a locked bootloader that you can access the tab through adb.
GT P6200 European
and here is what i get on cmd
Microsoft Windows [Version 6.1.7601]
Copyright (c) 2009 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved.
C:\Users\Tavi>adb devices
* daemon not running. starting it now *
* daemon started successfully *

Please fix you're post's language. It's not understandable....
And shouldn't the drivers automatically install if you connect your phone right. (well I know they don't install good on XP and Win 8 PC's, so this is indeed good for those PC's... On my win 7 PC all seems to work fine).
Regards, Drago
Just install universal adb drivers. Click install, then you get red warning box, install anyway, and youre good to go.

Hi All,
I have a One plus one & using Windows 7 64bit
Since the last few days i have lost USB Transfer between my device and windows and cant transfer anything.
I enabled PTP and checked ADB is working showing my device in the command prompt and fast boot is also detecting my device on the command prompt.
But whenever i enable MTP to transfer files between my PC & Device, it detects my device as MTP USB Device but is unable to install any driver and i get the prompt as Driver installation failed.
Could someone please advise a workaround.
PS: Running stock rooted 44S
Thanks
I would try to uninstall drivers on win7, then connect OPO to pc and see what happens.
You can uninstall drivers on device manager in win7.

Have done that multiple times, and again installed ADB & Fastboot Drivers which are working fine, but MTP is not working and Windows fails do install MTP drivers, thus i am unable to access the USB storage
Have you tried with another pc?
I'm trying to unlock my mate 8 but when I plug it into my pc it says USB device not recognized. Are there drivers I need to install first? If so where would I find them? I have developer options and enabled USB debugging.
I tried manually installing the driver using these instructions https://www.dc-unlocker.com/how-to-install-drivers-manually but it will not work. It shows up as unknown usb device (device descriptor request failed) and then when I manually install drivers to that usb device it says "windows has determined the driver software for your device is up to date.". This is incredibly frustrating someone please help me out. Can you link me a driver that actually works and automatically involved?
Thanks
please help
If you connect your phone to your pc, especially in Windows, you will notice about Windows asking to run driver downloader. Just run it and it will download the software. Once it is installed, your phone is connected.

Hey I downloaded the hisuite from huawei's website and it properly installed the drivers. Thanks for the advice though!
I've already done this plenty of time during the years.
I changed my PC some months ago and now i am in the need of flashing my "old" XZ premium and my new XZ3
My XZ premium is bootloader unlocked then no problem i can just use recovery zip or fastboot to flash.
My XZ3 is a different thing.
I can't find a way to istall fastboot flashmode driver.
Downloaded driver from the web and also iused driver in the driver folder of flashtool.
I alrerady tried:
1)Deactivating driver signature control (from andvanced rebbot and also from command prompt)
Still receiving the same error (and no unsigned driver istall popup appear)
Any idea?

Winodws assigns the wrong driver by default, even with driver signing disabled.
There are two drivers that can be used, depending on what you're trying to achieve.
Sony ADB
Google USB, I think this one os for connecting the phone when TWRP is running.
So push the phone into flashmode and open the device manager. Whatever USB device is listed (with yellow triangle), replace that device with Sony ADB, you'll have to do it manually - add device - from files - Sony ADB folder.
W10?
You must disable the Sig. Check.
I've wrote a link, how to disable this one in the thread for newflasher. (uncomfortable I haven't this one in this moment available) Otherwise search in the IN, it's the same was as for W Server 07
