Hey guys
I'm a new owner of a new Razr I and I want to share with you that BestSkinsEver is making a skin for the Razr M, wich has exactly the same dimension as our beloved Razr I...
I've used the screen and body skins for my Galaxy Nexus and I can assure that it's awesome... The best screen protector I've used... much better than dry applied ones...
http://www.bestskinsever.com/motorola-droid-razr-m-skin
I'm just waiting for them to star selling :good:
Are you using any screen protectors at the moment?
I'm using the atfoliX FX-Clear screen protection. It's great to apply, you can re-use it by washing it. Not a single air bubble at the main screen.
Best part is: After i asked for it, they now also produce a smaller film for the glossy area at the back of the phone! I think it's the only manufacturer that offers it, it now comes with the normal films. I think it's based on silicone or something, at least it's not that ordinary "try to apply without air inclusions beneath it".
I can recommend it 100%, as Gorilla Glas does not seem to be as scratch-resistant as advertised (take the Asus Padfone; from inserting it into it's station many users have scratches). 100% invisible except the cut-out at the front cam.
It's a german manufacturer so i don't now if you can get it outside of germany. Some protections are sold outside germany, but not for every single device. Price is okay as it is 3 films for 5€.

I have just ordered them! they thanks for your recommendation!
motorola = a big letdown
I think Motorola make great phones only thing is that they 'divide' themself from others. They never sell worldwide and always depend on ONE stupid provider: Verizon. Thats why Motorola will never be popular and their brand will soon be forgotten...
Why would you need a screen protector ?

Because you better protect the display.
Protect it from what? ... your fingers?
Then why bother buying a phone with gorilla glass?
I agree ... if you go with your phone in a hostile environment then yes, you have to protect it (like .. tracking while mountain biking). But in normal daily usage, the phone (any phone) feels just great in the original form.
As already mentioned, have a look at the Asus Padfone. It uses Gorilla Glas, too, under specific circumstances scratches may occour anyway.

Just watch the pictures and tell me if you see any difference apart from the front cam cutout. I can tell you that you won't notice any difference, no one noticed the protection and IF i accidently put keys into the same pocket as my phone (won't happen as i have a case, too) at least the display won't get scratches. Probably the protection will, so just throw it away and apply the next one. You receive 3 when buying it for 4,50€. I don't get paid for writing this, but it's not like this was a big amout of money.
The gorilla glas can and will get scratches, too, but not as fast as normal glas.

quote everything!
The gorilla glass CAN get scratches. Your phone will NOT get scratched in "normal daily usage" - swiping and touching it with your fingers, car keys bumping with your phone, etc. As for the ASUS Padfone, it gets easily scratched as there are no borders to protect it. Also, I believe it is due to other issues like when they insert it on the tablet.
I own an S3 and it is gorilla glass 2 but got some scratches when it fell and slid on the floor (tiles). This is because there are no borders around the screen of the S3 so the gorilla glass takes all the beating.
That's what I said. If you intend to beat-up your phone, then you better put a rugged skin and a thick screen protector. Otherwise, just use it. I do not intend to "protect" it from accidental miss-usage sacrificing the beauty of the device for this. Accidents will always occur ... you have to accept this. And your phone might get a cracked screen even with a screen protector on it (if dropped in the unlucky position, on the corner). So .. why bother?
I have been using mine without a screen protector, and it now has a few tiny scratches.
I think this whole 'gorilla glass' thing is just a marketing gimmick.. I've had XDAs many (many, many) years ago without screen protectors that went through far worse than what this phone has had to go through, and they were fine.
One has to understand the fact the gorilla glass is a reinforced glass ... but still a glass. And a sand particle you catch in your pocket will likely scratch the gorilla glass ... it is a simple matter of material hardness.

I love the way the screen does not pick up greasy fingerprints. This is not the same with screen protector on though. Is there one as good as that?

I've been using atFolix FX-Clear Film for Razr I and I'm really happy with it.
Doesn't grease at all (but I make sure I don't have greasy hands before using my phone).
I don't know if it actually works as well as they claim it does but this Rhino Shield seems like a seriously impressive product...
http://shopify.evolutivelabs.com/products/rhino-shield-phone
They don't currently make one for the Razr I but I've spoken to them and they say they would probably produce one if they were to receive 100 orders.
What is the likelihood of that do you think? Anyone interested?

I´m also using atFolix FX-Clear. It fits realy perfect on Razr i. Easy to apply with no air bubbles.
But after now 6 months of use i think the "grease protection" is gone away...
I need more time for cleaning of the phone than before and its hard to remove the grease
a friend has a rough screen-protection (not cristal clear) this realy take no fingerprints.
this rough screen-protection i will try next time.
apply a screen-protection is the first thing i do after unpacking a new phone!
There is nothing worse than a scratch on the (real) display! -> great value loss when selling
My Razr I from Three came with one applied ... it's not the cloudy film they normally put on new phones either. Either way, saved me a few quid trying to find one.

Let’s get this out of the way up front. This case is a beast. It’s big, thick and makes your phone feel like a tank. It’s not what I’m looking for in a daily driver, BUT it has a permanent place in my inventory for special occasions. As the pics show, it’s a two piece affair with an integrated screen protector. It’s a clear, thick plastic cover that completely encases the phone. More on this feature later.
The most noteworthy thing about the case, at least from my perspective, is the lanyard clip. I’ve never owned a phone or case with this kind of fitting and it opens up lots of possibilities for securing the phone. My family and I go camping a lot in the summer and I think that’s when this case will really shine. It’s tough enough to make me not worry about taking it into the mountains for a weekend. The loop can be used to conveniently suspend the phone from a back pack or perhaps hang it up in a tent away from moisture and stray bears.
The button feel is pretty good, but I think I’d like them better if they protruded a bit more. The cutout for the fingerprint sensor is accurately sized but makes it feel like you’re sticking your finger in a deep hole. I never had any problems getting the phone unlocked, but it did take a little adjustment to just how cavernous the hole is. The openings for headphones and USB have tight fitting rubber doors to help keep out moisture. It’s clear that this case does not fully waterproof the phone, so don’t go thinking you can take it under water or in the shower. It should, however, provide a greater degree of protection from the occasional splash or sudden rain shower.
As the pics show, it has an integrated kick stand that works well in both portrait and landscape mode. My only complaint is that when using it in landscape, you don’t have access to the power/volume controls unless you orient it with the lanyard clip on the bottom. If the clip were on the upper right instead of upper left, you could easily manipulate the controls.
Now, about that built-in screen protector. It’s very thick plastic and you won’t confuse it for high-quality glass. I experienced a little trouble with getting the screen to respond to my touches. I had to press down so hard that it felt like I was using a pressure sensitive screen and not a capacitive one. However, I do need to point out that I have a tempered glass screen protector on the phone and didn’t want to remove it for purposes of this review. It’s very possible that the added thickness of the TGSP contributed to this problem. Regardless, given that I won’t be using this case unless I’m roughing it in the mountains, having to press down a little is no big deal for me. But if you need this kind of protection on a daily basis, this is something to consider.
All in all, I think this is a decent case for the money. It’s not perfect, but if you live in a war zone or work in a rough environment, it should greatly improve you phone’s chance of survival.
Hello, after changing on the warranty faulty home button and the USB port with the microphone, they also changed the screen and, unfortunately, since that time the new glass Nillkin Amazing H + come off on two sides (left 0.5 cm, right 3mm, but the purpose by that it is unevenly mounted). Long searched the internet (as I also on the forum), and only cooperation found myself glass iCare with Amazon - unfortunately they don't send to Poland, Or 3mk FlexiGlass - 7h and the cost does not knock. Do halo effect may be caused by the glass itself, is there any small chance? I do not know to try the other lenses, or give it a rest.
I will be grateful for suggestions to solve this problem, if you will have someone specific product with shipping to Poland, I will be grateful!
Thank you in advance and best regards!
Couldn't find a single proper tempered glass in India since the last two years. Those are not glass at all for the edge model; cheap plastics. I stopped searching. Luckily I have the one time glass replacement offer. Just have the back case here. But from what I heard the temprered glasses for edge models are ****. You loose the screen senitivity, the home button travel distance decreases. It's simply not worth it.
https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B01N2PEQLH/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 you could try this one ! I got this one mine no halo effect and fits pretty good
My screen was incredibly curved, but 3mk Flexible glass solved the problem.

The manufacturing of the tempered glass can make it to have a halo effect because the layers are not aligned. If you are looking out for a tempered glass for galaxy s6 then you check out this link : https://www.zizowireless.com/produc...m-9h-hardness-tempered-glass-screen-protector
Doesn't the Xperia XZ Premium have the option for a wrist(lanyard) strap?
My z5 has a special gap at the bottom for such a strap, but I haven't seen it on the bottom.
I won't get a phone I have my kidneys sold for just to have somebody bump into me making me drop my phone for hundreds in damage so are there secure cases that you can attach a wrist strap to?
Oh dear god... maybe you shouldn't buy a phone if you need to have it strapped to your wrist when you use it. Never seen anyone ever use a wrist strap with a phone.
Seriously, if you're that worried about damage then get a decent case (a massive one to protect it, if you must) and a tempered glass screen protector.

not only for damage ^^ i like it when i had it in a bag and can pull the phone out.. i will miss it too -.-*
still it looks stylish
My xperia z5 died because someone bumped into me just when I was making a call, if that happens again I don't want to be set back 400 euro's or more. I didn't wear a wrist strap then because the phone's remaining value was about 300 so I wanted to use it without being limited too much by a strap or huge case that probably won't work anyway.
And that z5 had the official sony case around it, but it fell on it's corner and boom screen gone, vibration gone, bottom speaker gone, microphone gone and finger print scanner gone. Replaced the screen and mic and the fingerprint scanner worked for one day and broke again.
Hence why I want a new phone, but I want to actively use it because the thing has all sorts of camera features that I don't just use for selfies and cat video's and I'm outside with my phone about 6 hours a day. So I thought better prevent a fall with a wriststrap than have a huge case on a huge phone and still have the thing shatter on the first drop.
I'm looking for like a slim case with a wrist strap option, so when I am on my rowboat I can take the thing with me too and wear a wriststrap whenever I feel it necessary.
If I don't find anything like that I'll just ensure it for a year.

Until you've used the strap with the Sony phones, I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss it. It sounds silly, but it really can make a difference in handling the device. I use cases too, but I will be sad if it doesn't have the strap / loop.
I had a question about how to protect the entire body of the phone, both front and back. I wanted to see how can I cover all the back and the front of the phone with nano-liquid protection, so that it will not crumble and get fewer fingerprints? I bought a nano-liquid protector that apparently can be used on all glass surfaces. Is it possible to use the liquid to protect the back of the phone, given the glass behind the phone?

Yes you can. I have applied a liquid solution myself on my HTC U 11 front AND back. Can't comment on the durability, increased scratch resistance etc yet, but application was easy and after the specified time needed for bonding I could not see any (negative) difference when I am handling the phone. Small tip: make sure you follow instruction to the letter and leave the phone to dry for 12 hours without messing with it.
Thanks for the reply. I placed an order for nano coating liquid today.
Any pictures about the process???
Of course many videos on YouTube, but due to special glass-back of hTC U11, it's appreciated to have one.
