[Q] I535 - Yellow triangle "Please take to verizon store" help! - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III

I have the samsung galaxy s3 through verizon, purchased a few weeks ago. I rooted a couple of weeks ago using CWM and was running CM10. No problems until I decided to fix the camera issue everyone seems to be having. I thought I was flashing back to stock but when my phone restarted, I now have the yellow triangle and a screen that says "Unauthorized software found on phone take to a verizon store" blah blah blah. I can't get back into recovery, but I can get into download mode. I've searched this forum and google and have tried everything, flashing VRALEC, CWM, etc etc and nothing is working. I've been at it all morning and really don't want toadmit defeat and go to Verizon.
Can anyone please help? I can't unlock the bootloader until I can get my phone started. I'm trying to flash stock rom but it doesn't seem to be working. the file I am using is "VRBMB1_bootchain.tar.md5" is this not correct???
Thank you so much in advance!

If you have just recently bought your phone, it is most likely the I535VRBMF1 boot chain found here http://hotfile.com/dl/233901611/1c99bd9/SCH-I535_VZW-I535VRBMF1_Original.zip.html restore to stock using Odin and begin anew.

Not having any luck. I tried odin and it failed, i tried the flashing software and it keeps giving me an error.
Hey thanks man for all your help!!! I got it to work. Dont know what was wrong with the flashing but i just kept insisting and the error went away and it finally flashed it. Thank you soo much.!!!!
That's great news! Not just for you (glad it worked) but for others that may have potentially bricked their phones.

Pretty sure you have to use the flashing software in the post and follow the directions. Samsung PST or whatever its called.

From other post that I have read, you always use PDA not phone when flashing roms. I soft bricked my phone is error and I flashed EE4Xstock_DXC.TAR helped on my end.
I found out what i was doing wrong. With odin its ok to remove the battery to load files and i accidently removed the battery using the samsung software and you are not suppose to do that, the battery must stay in for the process to work.

Won't boot. Bootloader or kernel problem?

I followed the instructions on the first post of this thread, but when I went to restart, my tablet wouldn't get past the "Galaxy Tab 2" splash screen. Whatever it told me to do with the kernel or whatever must've caused the problem. I didn't have CWM at the time. I then followed this thread to try to root it. So, I have CWM if that helps, and my tablet is very likely rooted. But I still can't get past the splash screen. Any help would be greatly appreciated, and since I can get to download and CWM, I don't think it's bricked (although, I'm not entirely sure what "bricked" means, software/hardware wise).
Thanks in advance
EDIT: I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0" GT-P3113 running Android 4.0.4

If it were me, I'd load the adb drivers and see if I could get into an adb shell. This would do two things. First, it would let you get a logcat which might tell us what happened. Second, it would let you do things to fix whatever seemed to be the problem. If it is the kernel, this probably won't work, but if it is something else it should. You can get into a shell from CWM but that won't get you a logcat of the problem.
If you have CWM have you tried doing a complete wipe from the CWM menu?

I had this happen to me today. I got a new P3113 because I had a dead pixel. Anyway, my new one came with 4.0.3 and immediately wanted to update to 4.0.4. After this, I used Odin to flash cwm, and was immediately stuck in a boot loop. I checked my source again and saw that there was a new file to flash, and sure enough that did it. I was so worried that I screwed up my new tab, but it works now. My counter now reads 2 flashes.
I used this guide and got the latest espressowifi image:

Thanks. But where can I get the latest version of espressowifi?
EDIT: I tried espressowifi-recovery-5-18.tar.md5, but that didn't work. I think the problem has something to do with the PIT file I flashed, but I'm not sure. Also, I have access to adb now, and logcat just spits out a big stream of stuff. Should I upload it?
EDIT2: Fixed it with ueblg5_espressowifi_recovery.tar.md5. Thanks to both of you!

Awesome! That was what fixed it for me too. It really sucked to bootloop my device about 20 minutes after opening it and not see a way out! I'm glad you got yours working!

First, if you're stuck in a bootloop, try accessing the recovery mode then wipe data, if this doesn't work, try getting into download mode and flash a firmware file (from sammobile.com or anywhere else)

[Q] Stuck in ODIN mode

I tried installing a ROM i found on this forum but when i went to reboot and turn back on a warning messege appeared saying something along the lines that the OS was blocked by verizon wireless and i had to bring my phone to the nearest store. It wouldnt reboot into recovery it just kept flashing back to the messege. Im not sure what i did but i managed to boot the phone into something called ODIN mode? It asked me if i wanted to install some firmware in which i assumed was the finishing process to the ROM installation but now its just hungup at the "Downloading...Do not turn off target!!" screen. Im not sure what to do from here any help would be greatly appreciated thanks!

First, relax if you're nervous. There is nothing wrong. You didn't unlock your bootloader before flashing the rom, that's why the message is there. Read some of the threads (I'm mobile so I can't link but I'm sure there stickied in one of the sections) about restoring to stock. Grab the Odin file and read a tutorial if the thread doesn't have one on how to flash it. It's just another method of flashing to stock. I would give you step by steps if I wasn't on my phone in bed, if you still need help tomorrow hit me with a pm and ill help you as soon as I get home from school. I can get you familiar with the important things about rooting and flashing on this phone.

Thanks for the quick reply. Is it okay to power off the phone if it says its downloading still. And my phone used to be rooted until the OTA updated it to 4.0.4 for some reason it completely slipped my mind to unlock the bootloader again.
You aren't downloading unless you've hooked your phone to your computer and have run Odin

Took Update. Can't get into Recovery.

Hey All.
I tried to DL the new verizon update today for my S3 and it didn't work. Now I can't even start my phone, i get an error "System software not authorized by VZW has been found on your phone. Please turn off your phone and go to the nearest VZW store for help."
This happened to me the last time there was an update because i was rooted at the time, but i never rooted again after that. Any ideas on how to get my phone back on?
You will most likily need to use Odin and restore a stock image. I'll PM you a link to the stock image of 4.1.2. It's on my personal website .
Just flash cmr in odin..I had to do it as well

I appreciate the input! I did end up rooting again and flashing cmw and everything worked out.

Ive read forum after forum after forum but cant find what I need to do. Im trying to get a custom recovery on it so I can install a custom rom, but I really just dont know where to get the correct files. Please help me!

From the sound of it the phone is on 4.4.2 NE1 and it's got a locked bootloader. There are no custom recoveries or custom roms. Post a screen shot of the about phone screen
At this point you would have to Odin back to stock

Alright but you will still have to Odin back to stock. That's pretty much your only option at this point
