There is none, it just activates/deactivates WiFi when you click the icon
Its a console application..
You should try action screen.
It has your one click wifi toggler and also bluetooth toggler.
And much more just take a look
Action Screen is all that I need...

wow, that looks great... hope it works on my T-mobile Wing ...
Action Screen only makes sense if your device didn't already come with a radio toggle screen. My HTC Advantage already has one of those screens, so 'Action Screen' is worthless to me.
elmalote: Good work. This is very helpful for me because I use SPB PocketPlus and I've always wanted a desktop icon that activates WiFi without having to go to a separate screen. Any plans to make a Bluetooth toggle?
Great work elmalote!

Yeah, a bluetooth toggle would compliment your wifi toggle perfectly. You could probably even package them together.
wait how do i use this .cab file?!
put file in your device and tap it with stilus
Thanks for creating & sharing elmalote!
Hi Elmalote,
thanks for yr sharing~ It's great work~
Btw, could u work on Bluetooth toggle button (in discoverable mode)?
Thanks again~
I would like to see a gprs-toggle button. It's easy to find wifi and bt togglers but I can't seem to find a simple gprs-toggle programme... Maybe that's an idea?

There is a file named "DataDisconnect.exe" under Windows folder. You can make a shortcut and use it as quicklink.

can that be used to toggle it to 'on' too?
You don't need this. Data Connection is being auto activated, when it's necessary.
The screen timeout modes only let you set various timeouts... but I'd like to have an easy way to make the screen stay always-on for when I'm in the car. It works all right for GPS apps because they force it, but google music still turns off

there are other ways to do it, but I use the app "My Settings Pro" to set the screen timeout to never, works perfectly.
Does it give you a way to do it as a quick toggle? Like I said, I don't want this always... just when I'm in the car.. and even so... something automated would be nice.

I made a dock shortcut to open the app with one click.
The app gives a screen with a bunch of toggles for settings: ringer mode>screen brightness>lock screen on/off>WiFi on/off>GPS on/off>Bluetooth on/off>AutoSync on/off>auto rotate on/off>screen timeout>Airplane Mode on/off>network mode etc.etc.etc.
I have used it in my last 4 phones, it is one of the first apps I always install after a ROM flash.
Another way would be to use widgetsoid and a screen timeout toggle to accomplish this. You can make it toggle pretty much any settings you want.

Yes, I have done it that way also.
WidgetSoid is a handy app also.
Go to settings>developer options(toggled on)>screen awake while charging

That option doesn't seem to work at times (that's why I didn't mention it)
Mine will still go out with that option selected at times.
That screen awake option seems to work for me.

Never had a problem with this option. If I'm plugged in the the screen stays on.
just curious but isnt that just asking for a burn in?
I'm getting so sick of picking up my phone, and accidentally unlocking it by sliding a finger across the screen... Is there any way of disabling these gestures? Specifically the slide-right and slide-left gestures. Double-tap is useful as hell though, so I would really like to keep that.
I think you can disable or enable all of the gestures at the same time. Either way just go to settings>display and gestures
Sent from my HTC6525LVW using Tapatalk
Yeah, I'm looking for a way to disable only some (most) of them though.

I'm looking for the same thing. I use the double-tap or swipe to unlock all the time, but more than once I've pulled it out of my pocket to find the camera active. If I could just disable the "landscape + volume button" gesture alone that would be perfect...

You can't disable one (other than quick call) without turning them all off. Hopefully, in a while, we will start seeing roms with this option. Cuz I can think of certain uses for these features.

Anyone using any third party apps yet to do more with the AMOLED around active display like on moto or Samsung
This. And double tap to wake / sleep . . Nova launcher takes administrator settings and won't let the phone wake without a pattern then smh

All the applications i have found seem to do this. You have to make the application a device administrator for it to work but because the application is controlling the lock, the fingerprint doesnt work and it forces you to enter the pattern. I am coming from a moto and really miss the breathing notifications.

I use this at night but I don't really want the screen on all day, if this had a "breathing" function it would be nice. Hoping google releases an update to change the ambient display.
That's what I'm asking. There are a bunch of apps meant for this. Trying to see what people have success with
Bump....
Using Notific Pro without administrator permissions, only enabled notification access on the overview screen of the app. Works pretty well for me...
Hi there,
I tried to use screen off apps on my SS S8, but when unlocking, it requested PIN numbers instead of using the fingerprint.
The fingerprint only works if we lock screen using the physical button or after timeout.
Do you happen to know any workaround for this?
I read a thread on S7, suggesting using Nova launcher with Screen Lock widget. But, is there any setting we can change to use other apps?
Many thanks,
Nghia
That's general security setting of Android. Happens to me on my OnePlus 3 when it's locked by Greenify. Simply ditch those lock screen apps.

hello,
it is a know issue, try Double Tap to Turn Off, will solve this problem, I am using it and I can use iris, fingerprint, face and of course PIN.
regards
I use nova launcher plus lock screen to double tap gesture. Works fine.
How do u set it up in Nova?
Figured it out, nevermind. At first I thought it was built into Nova, but found the app and set it up. Thx
I was wondering if there are other apps can fix this as well.
Many thanks!

Just tried it, it'd still require me to enter my pin afterwards.

mine is working good, I have set to lock with icon and is perfect, more accurate than double tap.
try to check option menu and play a bit with, if is working for me there is no meaning why it is not working for you!

Played around with that app a little more, you actually need to enable that "show clear view" option, what it does is it would show the time on the screen for about one second before showing the AOD screen.

Use "softkey edge" which is a edge app works perfect. U can use iris or fingerprint after lock the phone using this edge app. Also it do not use device admin access..
You can download from galaxy apps and not avail in play store
OFF+ app work!
I have same issue with Samsung S8. Finally I found app called "OFF+". Just need to change screen off type to delay mode in app. Work perfectly. No issue with fingerprint! :good:

Do you have a link to this app?
This one works for me:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=gr.ictpro.jsalatas.screenoff
I tried those other ones and did not have luck.. either the app did allow fingerprint but did not turn the screen off in a reliable way.. or they required pin / password to unlock..
but just found this one and it works so far!
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.redmanit.lockscreen
If this is still a question for anyone:
With nova launcher, you need to give it accessebility permission and choose in the nova settings to use a different lock screen method
The setting can be found in the nova settings by scrolling all the way down and choosing the last option in the advanced settings... Each option has an explanation for how it lockes the screen
