I am having a problem using Lockscreen apps like GOTO and Widgetlocker Lockscreen with CM 7. Widgetlocker gives me way more problem than GOTO does but neither of them are working the way they should. When I tried using Widgetlocker it pretty much went nuts. It wouldn't let me drag any of the sliders, they were all pretty much just frozen and it kept coming up with the force close pop up. And when I tried to lock the phone it would make the locking noise that the default CM 7 lockscreen noise a bunch of time before the screen would come back on.
Is there anyway at all that I can just get rid of the CM 7 default lockscreen or disable it?
TIA....and yes I am a noob so sorry if this is a noob question or has been posted before lol. We all have to start learning this stuff somewhere
Hi guys,
I turned off animations in developer menus. Now they are grayed out and I can't turn them on again. Is there a way to turn them on without rooting or resetting the phone?
in the Display settings in the general settings section you'll find the animations option...

It's not that unfortunately.
If you go to developer section and set Windows animation scale to off there is no way turning it on again.
Found a solution!
Found a solution without rooting.
1. From play store download spare parts and set both animation settings to normal.
2. Go to Dev section in settings and confirm the settings by choosing it once more. It doesn't work if you just use spare parts for some reason. Settings are back to off if you don't confirm them.
3. You can uninstall Spare Parts after that.
has anyone tried turning this option on (inside settings of the stock web browser)? I cant seem to be able to turn it on. The option is greyed out....
Hello everyone!
I'm using a Nexus S i9020, currently running AOKP JB M1 with Marmite 6.7.9 and smartassV2 and I'm VERY pleased with the performance of this setup! :victory:
I've disabled all animations and transitions to further enhance performance, but I still can't seem to be able to get rid of the fade in/out effect that accompanies dialog boxes such as the power menu and simple alerts. Since I have no other transitions in any other place, these fades seem extremely out of place and quite annoying.
How do I disable these? Is there a system setting I've overlooked or will it require some sort of patch?
Thanks.
Aalaap.
You would probably need some sort of patch if any even out there. You could also try and install a 3rd party app like apex or nova and disable all animations.
UselessSniper001
I'm already using Nova with all animations disabled, but this transition is a system dialog box one. It will have to be done at system level with a patch, I guess.
Anyone willing to help me out?
It's one of the animation options in settings > developer options
There are three options there - window, transition and animator - and I've turned them all off. The pop-up alerts still produce the fade effect.
You can try a patch???
I have been trying to figure out how to disable animations. The windows flying around were cute for awhile but are getting old fast. Just to be clear, I mean window animations, not the boot animation.

There should be animation settings in developer settings, change them to 0x.
If you can't see developer options in your settings, go to settings->about phone and tap on build number 7 times and it will now appear at the bottom of your settings menu.
Thanks
Thanks for the fast replies. I feel pretty dumb because I remember showing others where to find that setting but I blanked. All fixed now!
Glad I'm not the only one who likes to turn them off aha
