[Q] Tapatalk Pro and droid 4.3 note 3 - General Questions and Answers

Quick query if I may. When I search XDA forums via Firefox or Chrome and press a link I no longer get prompted to use Tapatalk to view topics. Firefox or Chrome open topic within the browser.
I did reset all defaults via application manager to no avail.

Flash Player

I have noticed that flash player is not working on Clean rom. I believe its not working on beans either. I read that there will not be flash support on 4.1 but I am on 4.0.4 .....am I missing something?

Wont show flash player in market.

Thanks

I don't know why it does that but I think Google has some issues with knowing who has what phone or operating system, for instance I can download Google Wallet from the market to my S3 even tho it won't work unless I do the work-around which I did.
Anyways, here's a link to get your Flash-Player outside of the market.

Did you restart? Make sure you have Desktop View enabled. Also what browser are you using?
I'm using Chrome. Yes I have desktop selected.

Try using Flash in the original browser. If it works there, then just clear cache and data of Chrome browser and try again. If that would fail as well maybe uninstall and reinstall?---- only do this tho if it works in the original browser first.

Chrome doesn't support flash. Use another browser.
Isn't flash built in to Chrome?
I will try suggestions

Use ics+ browser. Works great and make sure flash is up to date

Replacing the stock browser???

Is there a way to replace the stock browser with chrome as the default browser???

Yes. After installing chrome, go to an app that requires you to click on a url, like xda or YouTube. You'll see a pop up window saying "complete action using". Select "use by default for this action" then click on the icon for chrome.
To remove an app that is currently the default. Just go to settings> application manager and select the app. At the bottom right, select "clear defaults".

Just a little point. Chrome does not support Flash. So any websites that need you to run Flash, they won't work.

I am on my tablet using a wifi on my phone connection so I can't watch the video. I am assuming this video is how to load Flash onto Jelly Bean as Flash is not supported.
This is correct but even if you have flash on Jelly Bean Chrome is still incompatable. I tried it on my mates Nexus 7 with Chrome and Jelly Bean.
I use Dolphin Browser as that supports Flash.

Flash support?

I know adobe ended flash support for anything higher than ICS and I found a thread saying it was still possible to get flash to work on jb but I can't figure it out. Is this possible?

I've had flash player working on 4.2.2

Just use the site search function, and search for "flash player jellybean" and you will find step-by-step instructions. Or just Google it.
All you really need is the apk, and it install just fine. You just can't get it on the Play Market or from Adobe anymore.
CleanROM 6 r2 has flash built into the default web browser... That's what I use.

Also when you have flash player installed, you will need another browser. I use Boat browser, which can be found on the play store for free. Just make sure to enable flash in the settings. This is the one tbat works well for me.

You can download the apk from Adobe too I believe. I think it was under legacy or developer downloads, something like that.

Or just Google adobe ICS flash apk. That is what I did. Its still on my SD card, but cant upload from app.

Are you using the new *free* version of Tapatalk? Or are you using the old Pro version that you paid for? The Pro version that you spent money on is no longer supported, and you need to download the new free version.
Or if using Xposed, get CrappaLinks module, or if no Xposed, install this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nevoxo.tapatalk.redirect
Overrides Tapatalk link redirections. When you press a link in Tapatalk, select App Redirect to open it.
Those are your options.
Thanks for that I've downloaded the app re direct and can conforms it works on my XDA app however if I use chrome to enter a Tapatalk forum I just get a blank screen saying can't load support.Tapatalk
