Anyone know if the Nexus 5 will come to Sprint????

Hello all!! Im on sprint so I didnt get the nexus 4 and i wanted so bad.. Is there any word on if the new Nexus 5 will come to sprint this time around?? Man i sure hope so..
I am not completely sure, but sprint basically has the same freq. as Wind (in Canada) so I'd expect it to work.
These are supposed to be Sprint's Freq.:
LTE Advanced Worldmode: Sprint LTE, 800/1900 CDMA, 850/900/1800/1900/2100 GSM/UMTS
Advanced Worldmode: 800/1900 CDMA, 850/900/1800/1900/2100 GSM/UMTS
Worldmode: 800/1900 CDMA and 900/1800 GSM
Leaks so far suggest there will be at least two different Nexus 5 models. The model leaked last week (called LG-D820) had wireless radios that could support AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile LTE.

I think it will come to sprint per Anand tech... At least they say it's compatible with cdma...

What I want to know if it's triband lte compatible with Sprint. It looks like it is... From the Anandtech document because it supports bands 25, 26 and 41 which are the lte bands that Sprint use.... But not 100% sure.

Dan Hesse should know the answer to this. Everyone else is just guessing based on the radio. Doesn't mean Sprint is picking it up.
Sprint does look like it is trying to be the good guys again and trying to play into what people want. I would be surprised to not see Sprint pick it up. Verizon, that is another story. They could not care less about making people happy.

This is my question as well. It would determine whether or not the G2 is my target for my next phone, or if the Nexus 5 will be in my sights.
Man I hope sprint let's us activate it. That's the only thing I'm worried about .

Just because it doesn't support the LTE 13 band, could it still come up and grab a signal (just no LTE?).
Also what I find interesting is the discussion of the radio that is a "Adjustable Tuner", so couldn't it just "tune in" to the frequencies we need for Verizon?
And if there are 2 models, one for AT&T, TMOBILE, and SPRINT... whats the second one for?

Well I hope it will be n Sprint as in many sites it is clearly mentioned that it will come up with the support of LTE that was not in Nexus 4..then there must be a probability that it will come in Sprint too....
Even if it's for sprint I highly suggest you don't get it. If you need a reason just go through the Galaxy Nexus Toroplus forums. We're still trying to get a stable 4.3 build.

Here's a theory on why the Sprint bands are there even if Sprint does not end up selling it. Sprint is now owned by Softbank. Having the Sprint bands would allow those N5s sold in Japan by Softbank to work in the US on Sprint's network. Softbank does not have CDMA service in Japan they have 3G(WCDMA/HSPA) and LTE only.

If this happens I'll be paying my ETF on the spot in store to clear my ESN on my old phone and tell them where to stick it

I have a Verizon GNex Toro and I'm running 4.3 AOKP official nightlies and its flawless. Not sure why ToroPlus would be any different.
I doubt N5 is going to be on Verizon but I'm too leery of the G2. Damn Verizon.

You guys are lucky because Verizon released the 4.3 binaries for Toro, meanwhile Sprint declares Toroplus EOL.

This^ I thought there was only a single model for NA, and it included all bands AT&T, T-Mobile, and Sprint.

This. I just assumed that if there was only one model then we could get the updates like gsm and MAYBE flash radio separately. Well a boy can dream, can't he?

You cannot use it on Verizon. Verizon is a CDMA carrier. The only way it will work on Verizon would be data / LTE only. No calls/sms. In the USA that phone will only work on AT&T/T-Mobile or any other GSM carrier.

WOW! Now this really effed up my day My galaxy s6 edge plus through Verizon just ended up getting it's screen eat by my car door and I figured I would at least be able to unlock my old G3 and go on abiut my day but now itlooklike my problem just gotten Even worst.
On another note..of you guys Had to choose between a G4 or v10 which one would you go for? What would be another phone you guys recommend. Thanks.

That sucks :/. If your willing to sign a 2 year contract BestBuy has most of the new samsungs for $1 Also if your willing to add a line and keep it for at least 3 months you get $300 off if you trade in a phone. I recently got two G4s by adding lines ending up making $100 lol.
I love the G4. I cannot say about the V10. I don't like the upper screen personally I don't think it's useful. But the v10 is a great phone though.

Best buy

Can we get the best buy version and use it with full compatibility on T-Mobile? Is it SD or exynos?
Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk
Best Buy does not have a version. They sell the carrier's versions of the phone. Which version you buy depends on which carrier you have (ie. AT&T, Verizon, T-mobile, etc...) They are all Snap Dragon. Maybe they will sell an unlocked version soon, but it's not available through Best Buy yet. So, if you are on T-mobile, buy the T-mobile version.
Best Buy only sells AT&T, Sprint, and Verizon versions. No T-Mobile version.

OK, thank you for the info. I bought an AT&T version. It sucks that they don't offer the carrier unlocked version "yet".
If you order from Samsung, is it still SD?

I do not believe you can order the S7 or the S7 Edge directly from Samsung in the U.S.

eSIM = not locked to a carrier?

I have a Verizon model Great S2, never activated, only used via BT. Can it be activated in T-Mobile? Do I need to get it unlocked?
Thanks.
I also have the Verizon model and was told the same but not sure since I myself haven't tried to activate the watch.

I'm also wondering about the radio. Do the different models have different modems, and since the Verizon one has a CDMA modem, is it incompatible with T-Mobile bands?
If you look at Network Mode you'll see WCDMA/GSM (auto connect) so I'm guessing you could, I would check to see if yours is the same, which I wouldn't be surprised if it was. I have a 2nd hand Gear S2 that was bought from TMO. Then again, what do I know since I was too chicken to buy a Verizon one to find out before buying the one I have.
OK, I live chatted with Samsung and called their support phone line. According to both, the carrier versions are carrier locked, and cannot be unlocked. So, no switching between carriers. They told me I'll need to buy another Gear S2 if I want to move to another carrier.
If the Verizon version is capable of LTE then it should be carrier unlocked out of the box just like their phones. It was part of the stipulation for them to be able to buy the extra spectrum they bought a while back.

Anyone tried to Verizon Gear S2 on a GSM network (AT&T or T-mobile)?
Just bought a Gear S2 for $99 refurbished and thinking maybe I should have bought GSM because or worldwide compatibility.
None of the Gear S2 have LTE which is carrier compatible. Verizon Sprint have CDMA 3G and AT&T and T-Mobile have GSM 3G.

Same here, saw the android police article and bought a Verizon one to replace my wife's broken fitbit. Im wondering how much more I'll have to pay monthly or to activate.

I activated my S2 Verizon on Page Plus. Put a $10 pin on it that will last 120 days.
$0.10/min talk, $0.05 text, $0.10 meg data.
Given my experience with the Gear S this is enough for my needs when I'm occasionally without my phone.
jb
JB can you say more on how you got it activated I'm on Page Plus? Something like that would be perfect for me. Just order a T-mobile S2 Classic. Thanks.

Thinking about getting a note edge

I currently have a note 2 and am thinking about upgrading to an edge. The one that seems to be the best deal right now is a Verizon version. It's supposed to be unlocked. Would it work with a straight talk att Sim? Also I noticed the Verizon thread is small, do any of the ROMs in the general development work for the Verizon 915v? Should I look for a different version? Trying to stay in the $200 range. Thanks guys

Second question, is the T-Mobile version unlocked like the Verizon? I noticed the T-Mobile has better Dev support
