I need some help, my samsung galaxy s3 I9300 keeps shutting down. I have to do a manual reset about 5 times a day by taking the battery out the phone so it can work again . This is frustrating me, do you guys have any suggestions?

you can elaborate more by explaining about what you did before the condition occurs.
rooted/not, stock/mod, etc.

First you should use the XDA device search engine and post in the S3 Q&A forum meant for your device, after looking at the stickies in that forum.
Basically, this could be due to a battery problem ( sometimes just losing connection - cleaning battery contacts or If battery is bulging - needs to be changed) ) or a ROM problem, could be resolved by a factory reset, when using the S3 stock ROM , but you will lose all your data ( so before attempting to do it save everything in your Phones Internal SD card to your PC ( for salvaging later)
But do look in S3 Forum and post only there when it concerns your S3 device.

As a new user I cannot post my problem to AvijitGhosh82's Thread of Galaxy Y S5360 an all other Threads.
Today when I was Flashing JellyBlasy 3 of AvijitGhosh82, I make following mistakes:
1. I forgot to remove "link2sd" as asked by AvijitGhosh82.
2. Due to which when I wen in CWM and tried to Wipe data and cache and Dalvik cache it failed but I did not know that then. (I do remember "Failed" written somewhere on the screen though).
3. I started updating from JELLYBLAST V3.signed.zip.
4. It did update and phone was rebooted.
5. After reboot the animated logo of Galaxy S appeared on the screen severel times, but nothing else happened, I waited for half an hour but nothing happen.
6. I restarted the phone repeated all the steps again and even tried to find out where the heck is link2sd is so that I can remove it but failed.
CAN ANY ONE CAN HELP ME PLEASE.....

Hi All,
This is my first post on XDA.
Firstly, many congratulations & thank you to all the users and developers for their contribution.
I am using a Samsung Galaxy S2 GTI9100 for some time now and I am very happy with my phone, I simply love it.
The internal memory of my phone is getting filled up and I am looking for a safer way to get my phone back to what it was when I first received it.
Can anyone help me with getting rid of the data from the internal SD card and making it more lighter???
Hoping to get a safe, tried and tested method.
Thank You in advance and Long live XDA
Regards,
Sachin K
Did you check on google ?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=14766040
Thanks for the link, I shall try doing this.
Can also try a regular factory reset, should take the phone back to freshly out of the box or to the last official update the phone received
Hi everyone,
I'm on possesion of Samsung Galaxy S Duos II (GT-S7582), with an 4.2.2 Jellybean Android version.
so here is my problem :
Two days ago I forgot to disable data connection at night so my battery fall down, once I'm awake I plugged it in charger for a moment. and when I tried to turn it on, surprise my phone keeps crashing and restarting, giving me a white screen with some colored dots.
So obviously tried to fix it with the basics, I mean using the recovery mode to wipe data and cache but I got surprise again with an error message that says "No command" and a red line "did not match sized '/system/csc/common/system/csc/others.xml' no data available".
So i googled my problem and I tried some solution :
- Re-install the CWM with odin : No results
- Installing a costum recovery mode (TeamWin REcovery PRoject : TWRP) but no results;
- Flashing my phone with a stock rom : also no results
- Using the Safe mode to wipe data and uninstalling recent apps : also no results
So I'm kind of lost, I don't know what to do, so please if anyone knows how to fix , it would be very nice to show us how.
one more thing that I noticed : when my phone starts, a pop-pup appears before crashing saying that : Google.services has stopped
Thank you

Hello everyone,
I'm using a rooted Samsung s3 I9300 with CM 11. I've had CM11 for over a year now and it hasn't really caused my any problem. But lately it keeps rebooting itself. The weird thing is that it only happens when I have my WiFi or data turned on. If I turned those off then it doesn't reboot. It's stucked in a constant rebooting loop when I have WiFi or data on.
I've tried changing batteries/shutting down the whole phone for more than half an hour and then turning it on. It still happens.
I would honestly appreciate if any of you can provide a solution. It's very urgent as I uses my phone for many things mainly for my work. Hopefully you guys can give me a hand. Thank you.

Hi thatasiankid
Since this issue can be caused by several reasons I suggest you to post in the general "Help thread" of your device: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3/help/help-thread-galaxy-s3-question-t2690307
Clearing cache and data might help so you could take the opportunity to install a more recent version of CM (or any other custom rom). Please do not hesitate to find one of them in our 2 developement forums:
1. Galaxy S III Original Android Development
2. Galaxy S III Android Development
Thank you for using XDA Assist,
Good luck
