i have no idea to help you but,
Could you please post a picture of that cracked screen ?
cant post a picture as ive not got another camera, it would be hard to take a picture of it anyway, it is a crack right across the phone ;(
It's not just the screen but also the Gorilla glass you have broken ( Correct me if I am wrong ) so according to me you should go to Moto's service center as only they can replace your screen.

Great that you got it sorted. I dropped my Moto G from a small height today and the LCD has completely bled, I can just about use the phone. Annoyingly, not a single cosmetic scratch! Kind of surprised it got damaged so easily. Just to clarify, you weren't insured? I'm thinking of going down the route you've outline in order to get this sorted. Did you just email motorola and they commissioned the repair through SBE? Any details you could give of your process that might help me receive a free replacement too would be massively appreciated :good:
Mail them here, i have come to this conclusion.
Also buy a case, i will be now lol - I thought it was gorrilla glass.

Sent it off to the service centre today, fingers crossed! I know, guess the G is a little more fragile than we thought - definitely buying a case if they send me a new one.

I just rang up and explained the damage, they then emailed me the details regarding repair. The address for the the service centre is the same one used by the OP, SBE LTD, so I'm feeling hopeful. I'll keep you update with how it pans out :good:
Just emailed them and got a response telling me to phone a american number and that it would be $125, Hoping the wires have been crossed somewhere as this is no good in the UK!

Nah that's not correct. Here's the email I received when I asked about repair:
hank you for contacting Motorola.
We are sorry that you have been experiencing a fault with your Motorola phone and due to this we would like to suggest that you send your phone to our repair centre. The address for our repair centre, for our UK based customers, is:
SBE (UK) LTD
Unit 2A Motorola Repair Centre
Beaver Industrial Estate
Beaver Road
Ashford, Kent
TN23 7SH
When sending your phone to our repair centre we would recommend that you follow the guidelines below:
• That the phone is protected and cushioned within its packaging and sent for repair using a jiffy bag.
• That you ask for proof of postage at the Post Office.
• That your phone is insured against loss and damage.
• That when posting to us that you use a service that has track and trace.
In addition to the recommendations above we would also request that you:
• Keep a note of the IMEI number of your phone (this can be found on the back of the phone under the battery, the side of the box, or by dialing *#06# on the main screen of your handset).
• Please do not send any accessories with your phone including the battery, memory card, sim card, charger, back cover, original box etc with your phone. If any accessories are required then we will request this from you but please note that the repair centre may not return any unnecessary items.
• Please do backup any contacts, pictures, games and ring tones as there is a high risk during repair that these will be lost during the repair process
Lastly we would also request that you include a note with your phone with the information:
• A description of the fault
• Your name, return address and a daytime telephone number
• The reference number provided by Motorola which can also be found at the top of this email
• A copy of your proof of purchase (not the original)
Motorola will repair and return your phone free of charge under the warranty conditions. If in the event that your phone is found to be out of warranty by the repair centre then please be advised that a quotation and handling charge may be applied. Any damage caused by using unauthorised operating systems, tampering or altering the device firmware will void your warranty and you may be charged for repair.
You can expect the phone to be repaired within 10 working days from its arrival at our repair centre but please allow additional days for postage. Please also note that Motorola do not accept claims for losses incurred by customers not following the process detailed in this message.
If you wish to track your repair then please visit: http://extranet.sbe-ltd.co.uk using your IMEI number from your phone.
We fully appreciate the inconvenience that this has caused and we hope to resolve this for you.
For any further assistance or information please do not hesitate to contact us, quoting your Customer Reference number. We are reachable on 0870 901 0555 to discuss the matter further with one of our experienced customer service agents. Please contact us anytime between the hours of 8:30am and 6pm Monday to Friday and Saturday 8am to 2pm.
Kind regards,
Motorola Mobility
UPDATE
Just got a knock at the door from the postman with a white box containing my Moto G with a brand new screen replaced under warranty free of charge! This is despite my device having an unlocked bootloader. I'd urge anyone who is hesitant (as I was) to send off their damaged Moto G. Despite the poor reviews all over the net, it seems SBE are offering a quality repair service. :good:

Hey,
I purchased a new screen for my nexus 5 as my old phone screen had cracked after dropping on concrete (god damn Flintstones). The screen was easy enough to fix but the quality was terrible. The colours were all off eg reds were faded, greens were dark and greys had a purple hue around it, and the matt feel of the original was black nexus 5 was not there, just a cheap plastic finish. I also forgot to add, the screen would only respond to touch once picked up. So yeah it was kinda terrible.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dIxvxOvGg3Q
You can see from the video there screen was faulty.
I want to buy another screen when the ebay seller refunds me for this shoddy screen.
This screen cost me £80 from ebay and came with Screen, Digitizer and Plastic Frame. I want this to also be a warning to people when buying a new screen, you might get a duff one or poor build quality.
I'm not bothered how much it will cost, I just want it to work and look good. Does anybody have a link to a respectable and reliable source for an official screen with frame for my Nexus 5?
Try aliexpress .... Have bought my nexus 5 battery from the same.... You get both original and knockoff from there....

wow its so cheap!
I dropped and smashed my N5 a little while back and was put off buying a screen online after reading about shoddy quality ones. Ended up sending it to SBE, LG's repair partner.
Cost me £120 but they did a sterling job, it's as good as new, a really good quality screen, and at only 40 quid more than some of the screen units I'd seen online I thought that was pretty good. Warranty is still valid after using them as well.

only £120? They quoted me £160
Hmm, strange... this was only the beginning of June as well. Seems like a lot to have put their prices up by in such a short time.
Did they say there was anything else wrong with it? My original estimate was £105, which went up when they actually quoted as they added a new front-facing camera to the quote. I hadn't asked for that but didn't complain as I just wanted my phone back by this point
Generally I was pleased with the outcome but their communication is pretty bad.

Same email address and I got -
Good afternoon,
The approximate cost for the repair to the front screen for an LGD821 (Nexus 5) would be £156.00 including UK shipping & VAT.
However, please note that this is only an estimate as we cannot guarantee the price until we have been able to assess the damage.
In order to book the repair, we will require the IMEI number of the handset. This can be found on the box your unit came in or by dialing *#06# from the handset (if possible). Alternatively this can be found on the sim tray. If you are still unable to obtain the IMEI number, please contact your network provider who may be able to assist.
If there is any further information you need or you would like to arrange a booking, you can contact us by calling 01233 277053.
Alternatively, please complete the details below and we will arrange a repair booking:
Quite a price hike! Maybe there's a shortage of screens and a surplus of clumsy Nexus 5 owners...?

Hahaah clumsy owners more likely. The screen prices are dropping from what I can see.
Unfortunately my phone recently had a death match with my porcelain floor. The floor won taking out the honor 8 screen within seconds.
The good news is that the screen should be under warranty.
Currently there is a ticket with Huawei to get it repaired.
This was only yesterday that I submitted all the asked for information via email.
Now I am wondering about how long it takes for Huawei to get back to you. And how long it takes from sending the phone in to getting it back.
Anyone have experiences with return and repair?
i had an experience, tho , i live in india , and honor takes their time and it will be somewhat late.. but i cant tell anything about your region, depends totally upon the region,
In Malaysia, I heard it can take 2-3 weeks
They told me 7 to 10 days.
Unfortunately it is a OOW Repair. Screen destroyed.
They said I didn't register it on time, and I swear I did.
It was within the 3 month screen repair window, but not unusual for companies to be strict ( even if you messed up along the way)
as i said, defferent in defferent regions
The screen is under Honor's warranty for accidental damage?

The cost really isnt that bad for a screen repair.
I know that it was 100$ for me .
If I did it locally it would of been at least 180$ taking the same amount of time.
Seems as though most companies that do screen repair can only do samsung or Iphones.
Silly but I guess it makes sense for them not to carry all screens in stock.
How long is it in the US?
only 20 bucks more than the deductible on passport 2.0 for the axon 7. guess that warranty isn't so special
It took around a week in Finland for repairing the back glass.
Ok, my screen got repaired in the US recently. It took 10 days in total from the day I reported the broken screen glasses to the day I received the phone back. From the day that the repair center in TX, US received my UPS shipment to the day it got repaired and shipped out, it was 3 days, or 2 days from the day they noticed me by email that they have received my phone to the day they emailed me the phone has been shipped back to me. I consider this is a pretty good record for Customer Service like this in the US. The UPS return shipment from the repair center to me is Air shipping (two days). It came back with a Huawei box--despite I used a very small box to ship the phone to them--and a contact card and a Huawei pen. The screens -- front and back, as well as the frame--were all replaced with a new set, marked with FRD-L14 despite the original one was FRD-L04. The OS was reset by them, which I guess was done for testing the installation and so on. I didn't ship the phone to them immediately after I received the UPS label from Huawei; otherwise, it could be sooner, I guess. I am satisfied with the service so far.

Dropped the phone on the bottom frame and rolled down the stairs and then cracked the back and front glasses. The earjack plug hole got squeezed a little bit. That may be the worst scenario I can imagine. The phone was still functional as a tank. Glad they fixed everything for free very quickly
Here is a follow up of what has happened since my last post here.
I had to get the order for the out of warranty screen repair tied to the account. Mostly did this though phone conversations and they took my order number of the screen repair.
After a few days when they had to "verify" my information I finally received my UPS label.
They wanted everything packaged well and removed the Sim and SD card.
Dropped in my local UPS store.
It took about 4 days to get a verification that it was delivered to Texas. This was a Hauwei notification that said it was delivered.
Totally confused since it said delivered but had my address on the email I received.
The next day I received an email saying they have it in possetion and looking at what needs to be done.
A few more days go by.
Then I get a conformation that they are sending a replacement unit to me..
A few more days go by ( Over all 10 days total )
I received a box . It had a pen on top , a business card and a new phone in the bottom wrapped up in 4 different packaging.
This was not my old phone, I guess they didn't want to fix it .
The only issue I had was had to reinstall all of my apps and get everything set up .
So far its working well. Had a new case and screen protector I purchased to keep it from getting destroyed again.
Let me know if you have any questions about what happened.

Has anyone ever sent in their HTC device (mores specifically a newly released flagship) directly to HTC for repair? If so, can you share you're experiences as far as cost and quality of repair? Decided to do a water test on my brand new U11 and yes you guessed it... WATER DAMAGE! and didn't help that I dropped it and the back cracked right after! Thanks in advanced
No idea. Mine just arrived in Texas awaiting a repair after being exposed to water for 5 seconds. Curious, what color is your U11? I have a feeling that they were rushing out the Solar Red's because there's no way mine should have failed so easily. It might as well have no water resistance rating.

I got the amazing silver. But yeah I agree! IP67 rated? Doesn't seem like it to me. Keep me updated when you get your repair quote please man. I want to get an idea whether it's worth sending mine in or just cut my losses and buy something else. I read review after review of how horrible HTC repair service is as far as turn around time and repair quality. Though many of those reviews seem to be from overseas I hope we have better service here.

Yeah I'm on the same boat man. I'm just scared to get an OP5 with Jelly scrolling issue and tbh U11 failed to wow me that's the reason I'm debating so much on a repair or drop $800 the 6GB version. It's a solid device but I just wasn't super impressed.
So a little feedback from Germany maybe. My U11 has been send to repair 3.5 weeks ago. I first contacted HTC to tell them that my unit has a gap between frame and display along the top and that AI guess it wouldn't be water resistant that way. 30 minutes later I got a call back to confirm the issue and 5 mother minutes later an email with a free shipping translucent. They informed me that repairs in general could take up to 14 working day that would be Monday to Friday here in Germany. But they also told me that it might need longer regarding the new flagship, as spare parts haven't been distributed as of yet.
Spare parts finally arrived last Thursday - 14 days after the device arrived at the HTC repair service. It won't cost anything for me as it is a 'defective unit'due to the manufacturing process. Don't have it back as if yet. But the brilliant thing is: HTC is keeping me up with latest information every two or three days and in addition put my device onto the priority list of the workshop. So let's sesle. Meanwhile I'm using its predecessor the HTC 10

Many of the bad reviews I found were from EU more specifically the UK. So maybe just really crappy service in the uk? Lets hope so! Either way keep us updated :good: and hopefully all goes smooth with your repair man. My potential buyer backed out so I have the phone for probably a few more days to decide on possible repair. For now I went out and got my self GS7 Edge, not a Samsung guy but its a solid device.

I don't know about the states, but in most regions, HTC let a 3rd party repair center to do the job for them. Unlike Apple, HTC as well other companies doesn't have the resources to build repair center in each country. That's why in EU and the UK the feedback of repair experience is pretty awful: you report problem to HTC, HTC report your case to 3rd party repair center, then come back to you and tell you to send the device, etc. The process is complicated and relatively long, that creates mistakes, misunderstandings, as well some other problems.
In EU I believe it's a company called Gordon Electronic who's in charge of the repair. Sony, Asus Acer as well as many companies trust it. But their reputation is not so good.
I sent my HTC 10 to repair the camera module, I sent it twice and at the second time I asked for an expert analysis, and after nearly 3 weeks from the initial report, my phone finally got repaired. It costed me 20€ of shipping fee, and that's it. The result is good, but the process is painful.
Not sure about repair, but I'm having a nightmare of a time with my return of the U11. 3+ weeks and counting on the refund that their website says 5-7 days...

Give the tracking number to your credit card company and dispute the charge.
That's the next try. Thanks
The credit card avenue worked. Thanks. Unreal how HTC can make a decent phone, but have absolutely one of the worst customer service departments I've ever dealt with. Whether over the phone, email, or Facebook, every single person I talked to read from the same exact script about "escalations department" and I'd have the refund within 48 hours or the end of the week. Will never buy another HTC again as much as I loved the EVO, M7, M9.... the U11 was just too big for me and didn't have all the LTE bands, but it was a great phone. Thinking the Pixel 2 even though HTC is rumored to make it, hopefully customer service of Google isn't near as terrible.

Glad to hear you got your $ back finally. I too will be jumping ship. I was die-hard HTC from the G1 (dream) - M8 then eventually stpped buying HTC because they refused to make flagships w anything bigger than 5.2" screen. I was so excited for the u11 even though I was still skeptical .... Skip forward 1 month and here I am today w liquid damage from about 10s water exposure, a cracked back from one of the most gentle drops ever (because I actually broke the phone's fall w my foot and not only that. The impact w the ground was moke like it just slid from my foot, no hard landing at all) and finally a potential expensive nightmare if I opt to send it in for repair. No thank you. I will too be waiting for Pixel xl 2 or maybe a newer version of the OP5.
So a little feedback on my end regarding my defective device. I sent it in to the repair at 28th of June being about 7 weeks back. HTC support has been great in regard of information. As the U11 has just been released when I sent it in, the workshop received it at the 5th of July and HTC actively informed me that there was a problem regarding the spare parts. Those would be sent from Taiwan an need about two or three weeks to arrive at the workshop in Poland. Well not what I wished but can be accepted. The spare parts arrived at 18th of July with some delays due to TNT not delivering as planned. Well then, now the 10 - 14 day period mentioned for the actual repair after receiving the parts started and waiting did as well for me. I got a little bit impatient as I didn't here any news until the 3rd of August when 12 of the 14 days had already past. So I decided to contact HTC. Prior to this and for the last time on the 19th of July I've been contacted and informed of the current status by HTC nearly every two days, which is really really great. But let's go on: after contacting them they promised to check on the next day and answered my question on Friday the 4th of Augustthat my device is repaired and packed for dispatch at the same evening. The notification with a UPS tracking number came about an hour after that information. And now UPS was the one to fail. They really needed until Monday evening, 7th of Augustto pick it up and another day - yesterday - for the delivery. So finally I got my U11 back. Repairs look really well done and all is working fine and as wished for. No fees as all repairs were covered by the warranty.
Overall I'm very happy and pleased with the service. Only drawbacks are the long time of delivery of the spare parts and finally UPS causing another 1 maybe 2 day delay.

Bought/PreOrdered my HTC U11 from Sprint on 5/31/2017, received it on 6/7/2017. Used, enjoyed and loved the device for about a month when on July 3rd the device got a cracked screen. It was beside me in the couch while I played Fifa 17. Bad combination. My wedding ring did the damage.
I Contacted HTC Support the next day and was told that no parts were available to fix my device and that I should call back in 2 weeks. My phone was still usable and I did use it for 2 weeks.
On July 17 I contacted HTC Support Chat and was told that I could send in the device. I specifically asked about parts/screen availability and I was assured that I would be fixed in 5 - 8 days and "most of that time will be in shipping". A case was created and I was given a ticket which instructions on how and where to ship to.
I wrapped up my device and attached a letter appealing that they fixed it for free because this was my 4th HTC (EVO, M7, M9, U11) and I never used Uh Oh on my previous phones and hoped they could make a concession.... etc.
USPS confirmation shows the phone arrived at the repair facility on 7/20/2017. I did not receive and have not yet received any automated response from the repair facility informing me that the phone was received, being processed, no parts are available or anything. I have been calling HTC Support asking for updates using the Ticket # however that has been unfruitful.
HTC support has "escalated" my case but there is a huge disconnect between them and the repair center, they have no clue whats going on over there. Today is 8/17/2017 and I still have no phone, no ETA, no hope. I've been calling every Thursday and the response is always the same. "I have escalated your case and you will get a callback withing 24 - 48 hours". I received a callback once and it was to say "When I hear something, I'll let you know".
I am rambling because I don't have my phone and I have no clue as to when I am going to get it back. I am back to using the old M9 and I'm not happy, I haven't even reinstall all my applications because I thought the repair would have been relatively quick.
I don't know what else to do ...
Any suggestions?
I'm going to asking for a new replacement phone since mine light bleed issues out of the box. If that is not something they can do then they can have this phone back. With the V30 and Essential phone coming out soon the U11 looks like more and more of a disappointment in my eyes. I have had HTC phone since the Tilt with the exception of the V10 but I can see how as a brand they have gone downhill.

**UPDATE**
8/18/2017 - Missed and returned a call from HTC Support. The Agent in-charge of my case (since it is escalated) advised me that there is an update and that I have a quotation for the repair. Looking back on the call i never got a solid figure but i was told for being so patient they have discounted the repair to circa $92.00 USD. I still have no emails stating this and the tracking website still shows the same status. I was told that I will be contacted either later today or early next week to make the payment over the phone once they apply the discount to my account. Apparently this has to happen first. So I wait.
Unfortunately after 3 days use, cracked screen. A fall on the cement with a case on it, but it was too much.
Sad day. Hopefully replacement parts might be available sóon
Same happened to me just now.
I dropped it (with the HTC case on), and the screen cracked.
The drop was about 1 meter :-/
I feel sick now...

Same for me, was out walking the dog and the lead pushed the phone out of my pocket. Landed on the top left corner I think at first glance was fine barely even a mark on the case but when I got home and put the phone down that there was a weird reflection and turned the screen on and saw a crack going a cross from top left to just over the power button.
Have contacted HTC to arrange a repair which is chareable as they seemingly void the warranty when the screen is cracked...better get warranty back on it after they fix it.
I was just about ready to sell my u11 thankfully still got it so using it now altho complete stock sucks lol and had relocked bootloader so no warning screen on boot sigh....
Hmm I contacted HTC (Netherlands), and they told me that it's not under warranty.
I'm going to call again on monday and try again!
The crack on my phone runs from the power button down to the left bottom side.

Warranty don't cover user fault. I mean, if the phone shipped damged than you can get it cover.

I have just got the quote for repair my screen, not the actual quote as they still can't give me a the proper ticket number etc.
The cost for me to ahve the screen replaced is £285 which is almost 50% of what I paid...not bad ehh. Think this will be my last HTC phone have had them for years but losing my phone and then a ridiculous repair cost is not good.

Well that price tag is the same with every other manufacturer. So it's something you would have had to deal with on a Sammy or OP as well... it's nothing ridiculous actually. That's why I took care to get mine insured as soon as it arrived.

Yeah but the best thing is that the phone been in the repair centre since the 13th and still haven't got the actual quote so I can't even pay it and they never got me the UPS return label so I also had to pay for the shipping back to the factory.
Been in touch with the support for every day for well over a week and still not actually got a proper ticket number that I can track and just keep getting a new ticket number that doesn't work plus mixing up the serial number.
So think this will be the last HTC phone for me as my U11 that was faulty when I got it also took weeks to get replaced as they kept saying they where going to try and repair it.

Well that's standard. Spar parts need to be delivered to the partners in the specific regions. Such things always take 4 - 6 weeks after the first devices shipped. Some manufacturers even need 8 to 10 weeks to provide the needed parts and prices.

so any news on spare parts, i allready ordered a new back for my 5 days old u12+ but one day after i ordered it i need allso a new display, it fell from about 30 cm height on the ground and i was shocked thatthe display broke alltough it was in the original case
lousy performance by htc after the tank of a phone htc 10
Can't believe it happened to me. My U12+ fell out of my pocket -- maybe three feet -- and shattered!! I'd been using it in the wild for just four days. Had it in the case that came with the phone. (The case I planned to use is arriving tomorrow.)
I'm horrified. This phone can't be dropped three feet?? It's defective by design.
Now, the aftermatch. I contacted HTC US and they said they wouldn't touch it because I have the Hong Kong variant. I'm supposed to coordinate with HTC Hong Kong. The repair shop up the street said they could fix it for $150 if I was willing to wait two weeks for parts, so I'm trying that.
Insult to injury, I thought I had insurance, but it doesn't kick in because T-Mobile hadn't registered the phone.
Will keep everyone posted about the repair. It would be great if there was a cheaper third-party option.

Good luck on the repair. I would see if a repair shop locally could repair it. I just had a sub par experience with the USA HTC repair department recently. I bricked my phone and decided to send it back to HTC to see if they could revive the phone. After 5 weeks they sent it back to me and it still was not working correctly. I decided to see if I could resolve the issue which I was able to. Thank goodness. I would have hated to send the phone back to HTC for nothing again.

Man! Make me nervous when reading this lol. The warranty on HTC device isn't up to it standard.

I'm sorry if I made you feel uneasy but I figure just wanted to give you a head's up on HTC repair service. I found another thread on this particular topic and it was disappointing to read all the issues customers had with HTC repair (USA).
next time if you have a warranty issue, you can try asking the HTC DACH contact on facebook/twitter... they are actually replying properly and maybe even able to help properly. it's sad to see so many bad things with USA repair as in Europe it's quite good...but also depends on if you are in contact with them per private message or just via e-mail... via private message on facebook it works out much better
Two and half weeks later, the local repair shop tells me they ordered the wrong part (probably for the U12 Life) and worse they are unable to source a U12+ replacement screen anywhere in the world. I can't find a place to buy one either, with the sole exception of an Indian supplier asking more than $300.
Does anyone know where one can buy a replacement screen? Or how much HTC charges for repair? If it's more than $200 I'm giving up on this.

Just happened to me, over the phone they quoted me $2-300, but it could be more or less after sending it in. I asked what is the point of a warranty and they said it's only software issues, and it doesn't cover user damages like cracked screens. Anyways, you and I are sinking in the same boat, with HTC not selling any screens themselves, or providing other alternatives besides their own repair center. Scam company at this point
HTC cracked screen repair update:
1. I sent HTC my U12+ to repair due to a cracked screen.
2. They email me asking for a credit card to charge for the repair ($200). They asked me to call them. They did not provide a phone number.
3. I called and they ultimately said someone will call me back in 24-48 hours to take payment because they can't take payment.
4. When asked how long it will take to repair once they have payment, he said they usually take 3 week from the time they receive the phone.
It's been 7+ weeks since they received the phone.
How do I get in touch with the Indian dude, I'll spend the 300 to look at the screen without cracks. Guess I got lucky if you call it that, everything works and the cracks aren't that bad but it is disconcerting that a screen can't be had anywhere.

A website called "cellspare" sells the screen, but it's $339. I made the resolve to wait two months and see if screens are cheaper.
Its absolutely catastrophic to see that how Oneplus 6 customer care is looting their patrons. I bought oneplus 6 on launch date in India and one fine day while music was playing , screen went blank - Absolutely blank. Those all rest of functions are working fine. It wasn't dropped anywhere - There are no scratch even on the screen and now when i sent to customer care - they found some broken LED inside and putting a blame on me . I asked them that screen doesn't even have a scratch or there are no impression on body anywhere on this which they mentioned that its my problem and shamelessly denied to replace the fault LED and asking me thefty amount to replace the faulty device.
I am so upset to hear on this and I am planning to file a law suit now , because its upsetting to see that even if mobile doesn't have any kind of physical damage proof how can company put a blame of user on internal damage . There are no scratches, no imprint and display just gone !!!
I feel cheated and looted and I am seeking help to escalate this matter further .
You don't have accidental damage protection enabled which came complimentary?
I never had any such issue with service of oneplus.
I had complimentary adp on op3 and intentionally broke my screen after 6 months of usage to see how things work with servify.
Registered request on app and they mailed me an insurance claim form.
Submitted the phone to service centre and got my phone back after 3 days with a new display.
Bill was of Rs 9600 but all I had to pay was Rs 750.
Zero hassles no questions asked.

The issue is, displays CAN 100% crack on impact even if the glass itself doesn't get a single scratch. There is no way to know for sure if you dropped it or not and it is physical damage so you're out of luck... Also, let's be real, you ain't filing any lawsuit lol.
I'm sorry but I don't think there's anything you can do.

Don't take it the wrong way. I definitely hope that somehow they fix it without charging you. However what I told you is true. Displays can crack underneath the screen even if the glass itself is 100% like new. You might be telling the truth but there is no way to verify it. They have absolutely no way of knowing so yeah... Maybe try reaching out to their social media staff through Twitter or FB and politely ask them if they can help you out. Other than that.. there aren't many options.

Well Oneplus provides ADP with every phone. It started with Oneplus 3.
But you need to register that within 15 days of your mobile purchase.
No matter you buy from Amazon or Oneplus site you do get that ADP with both.
Just visit the oneplus 6 page and see the offer section you will find the ADP one listed there.
Free 12 month Accidental Damage Insurance (powered by Kotak 811)
https://www.amazon.in/OnePlus-Mirror-Black-64GB-memory/dp/B0756Z43QS
Sad that you missed that part and did not register for it.
OP Customer service in the USA is a joke. Luckily, I had a much smaller issue of ordering a new OP6 along with a tgsp directly from OP but I ended up receiving the screen protector all shattered (possibly damaged in the transit, phone was fine). Customer service tried to blame me. I countered their blame by asking how do I know that you did not send me the broken screen protector? They said, " We will never go this." And I said if you don't trust my "never" why should I trust yours? Filed a claim with Paypal and got the refund. I don't think their customer service reps are properly trained or have an actual authority to make decisions. Well, when you buy a top notch phone at a cheaper price point, something got to give and in this case it's customer service.
spending thousands on a lawsuit over a 500 dollar phone?
sure, that makes sense
contact Amazon and ask them to help you.
+1
was thinking the same last night when i read the lawsuit thing. oneplus rep thinking , sure you are
