I wish to unlock the bootloader of my Huawei U8950-1 (G600). I have received the unlock codes from Huawei and the instructions are listed on this link : http://www.huaweidevice.com/worldwide/servicePolicy.do?method=getUnlockStep
As I have no experience of doing somthing like this I wish if any one could guide me about the procedure. I have a lot of querries about what is mentioned in the instruction.
I also found some links on this forum but did not get much help.
Unlocked my Bootloader, entirely in Linux. No need to download anything from outside.
All files were available in their repo.
Now can any one advise me for the next step to root the phone ?

You need unlock code. Since huawei shown his chinese face in this matter you are stuck with stock or you can sell this phone
you can't unlock the bootloader we are FU***D by Huawei, this brick it's my first and my last huawei phone.
My Honor 4C is stuck at Emergency Data and I can't do anything with it except I can access the Setting through the Notification Bar. I tried Factory Reset and Normal Upgrade but it didn't work. I wish to flash it back to Stock ROM or upgrade it to a higher version ( Currently, EMUI 3.0, Android 4.4.2, probably KitKat ) but the problem is, I can't do so because I don't have my bootloader unlock code (Huawei doesn't issue them anymore, right?). Can you show me the step by step process? Please help. Thank you.

To get the unlock code follow these steps:
1.Contact Honor using their official mail (found on their website) and request for the unlock code. You might have to give in the details like serial number, IEMI number, Android version, etc.
2. They will respond back as soon as possible with the serious you will have to follow to get the unlock code from the the unlock code link they provide.
Basically, you'll have to login (you should have a Honor account) to the link they provide for 14 days Using only a PC (I had tried using other devices but didn't work out for me).
3. After the 14th day or a few days later when you visit the link, it will redirect you to the unlock code website.
4. Enter in your details and you will get your code.
Tried many other ways didn't work out.... Except this one... Hope this helps you.

And also just received a tweet about Huawei official is ready to give away codes for next 60 days after which we won't have any kind of access to them.

So I found a tool on needrom.com in the vivo section called "vivo bootloader unlocker". Has anyone tried this and can tell me wether it works? I sadly cannot provide a link to it as I have too few posts on here but it shoould be easy to find.
Also, if noone has tried it yet but someone happens to know a lot about the process of unlocking a bootloader, can that person tell me wether it is safe to try using this tool? Thanks in advance!

I found the following procedure to root my Honor 6X, but it seems to not list a few steps I've seen in other places, such as unlocking the bootloader. Do I need to unlock it with this guide? If so, how do I do so? What else is missing?

The first step in this procedure is install TWRP. If you followed the link on how to install TWRP then you wouldn't be asking this question.
The first step actually isn't TWRP but unlocking the bootloader, mandatory in way to proceed with everything else. Since that Crapwei has stopped support in doing so, you'll need to pay 3/4$ to third-party services (like DC-Phoenix in example, a service used by a lot of users here since that it's working and low cost) in way to unofficially unlock it. You can no longer unlock the bootloader of Huawei phones as Huawei itself announced.
You need unlock key to successfully unlock your bootloader, you could have filed a request with your Huawei ID. But the due date is now long since over.
You may find some random guys with magic programs that can get Huawei unlock key, however I think they're all fake.

Huawei has officially closed the bootloader unlocking process from 25th July 2018.
You can send unlock request to Huawei. You can told them you are developer and need to unlock it. You can get unlock code from imei number and you need to give sim company name.
