Hi all,
I went into TWRP and did a backup.
Then, I wiped Cache/Dalvik. Dalvik wiped very quickly, cache however just hung and after 10 minutes, i held down power to turn off the phone.
Upon rebooting, I no longer had cell service. Under APN no longer did I see tmobile fast apn (there just aren't any aPN There).
What is going on?
I also cannot get cell service...
Any thoughts?

Restore your backup

DO NOT force a shut down while the phone is wiping.
You are going to either need to restore your backup, or if that doesn't work flash the original cache.img in fastboot from the stock files in this thread. Just the cache. In TWRP, either update to the 2.6.3.4 or enable rm -rf in the version you have now to fix the slow wipe.

I know you're NEVER supposed to but...
So.. I used ADB and flashed CWM recovery (don't know why but i've never like TWRP).
I was then able to wipe cache/dalvik and reboot which fixed my issue.
Thanks for your prompt reply.

Glad you got it taken care of. I had a similar issue after returning to stock (the last command in the link above deleted the cache and I had the same issue as you) and I had to push that img one more time and I was good.

Ya what prompted this was horrible horrible horrible horrible horrible horrible horrible horrible horrible horrible horrible horrible horrible horrible horrible horrible horrible horrible horrible horrible horrible horrible horrible
battery drain.
I'm not even turning my phone on and it's down to 50% in less than 4 hours off charger.
WTF WTF WTF
I use autostarts and have disabled almost all 3rd party apps from starting up randomly.
I can't tell what the f$ck it is.
I was going to factory reset (and not install ANY apps) and see if it got better...
This is pathetic!
Cell Standby does take up about 20% and is a top contributor to drain... nothing i can do abotu that though.

Are you running any ROMs/Kernels? I had some battery drain issues when running CM11 based ROMs. Any using any kernel that had double tap to wake.
Go through and flash the stock image if the factory reset doesn't fix it.

I'm just rocking a rooted phone, stock rom/kernel.
It's freaking unbearably bad...

[Q] Does anyone want to help me out yet? -_-

Okay, I'm basically going to just copy and paste my issue and edits here from the Zeus thread I couldn't get any help on. The edits are so anyone who actually read this can see what I did and have been doing so they don't suggest something I already did.
So the other day, I tried to flash to the Doctorz ROM and of course, made a Nandroid backup. After messing with Doctorz, I went back to Nandroid or clockwork recovery (whatever it is) and after restoring, I was on another modem and stock kernel. I tried to reflash Zeus and wiped partitions cache and dalvik cache and now I'm having serious issues. I have my SIM card in my phone, but it keeps telling me I don't even though it's there. Even weirder, I have one or two bars even after I pull out the SIM card. Earlier, it was detecting that I had a SIM card, but said "Invalid SIM card" or something and now whether it's there or not, my phone says it has one or two bars even though I can't do anything. What's going on??
I've tried rebooting several times and activated Wifi and airplane mode, but had no luck. SIM card's in right now, but my phone says no service.
EDIT: Forget it. I just did a factory restore and wiped everything and reflashed Zeus.
EDIT 2: Okay now I'm having other issues. My phone recognizes my SIM card again and now I'm getting my normal signal, but I can't do anything wirelessly, like send a text or use up data. It SAYS I have signal and am connected to the HSPA+ network and the arrows are flashing and whatnot, but I can't do anything wireless. I can't go into the market, send a text or use the internet browser. Someone please help?
EDIT 3: Okay, I was wrong on that last part. My texts weren't going through because of bad signal, but I definitely have no data AT ALL. All I have are a few bars, but nothing about 3g/EDGE/HSPA+. I think this is an issue with APN settings?
EDIT 4: Messed with some APN settings... kinda back to square one, where the H+ shows up and I get Edge sometimes (I have bad signal where I'm at) and the arrows are flashing, but NOTHING. I still can't use the market or any data at all.
EDIT 5: I just decided I'd try to be next to my router and turned on Wifi... my phone would not pick up a signal from my router at all, and it works just fine. I'm starting to think this is a modem-related issue...
EDIT 6: Okay, I kinda fixed the problem, but my data speeds are SUPER SLOW and sending one message takes a really long time. I know I have bad signal, but it's never been this slow, even when I manage to pull up two or three bars. I tried messing with build.prop, but as I'm on Zeus, the settings were already fixed up.
EDIT 7: Okay, the Wifi issue was because I used the wrong WEP key. Oops. After I managed to connect though, I couldn't get any data. My phone just doesn't want to use up any data apparently? I reflashed the modem Zeus normally uses and now if I manage to get some data, it's unbelievably slow and can't use Wifi data.
EDIT 8: I forgot to mention that if I don't get to connect somewhere with data, my phone will just tell me there's no data connection or whatever even though I have two bars. I tried to fix permissions and rebooted, but no luck.
Someone please help. This is really annoying.

Damn! That's a lot of edits. Odin back to stock, and start from scratch. But remember to do a factory reset from Phone, go to settings, Privacy and erase everything. that will clean up everything that you have there.
That's the only option I see will fix all your problems

Yeah, that's all I could come up with. Thanks anyway. I did that a few minutes ago and flashed Zeus. I'm just waiting for my phone to load up. I tried to let it load up, but it kept saying not enough data on the partition or something. I probably shouldn't have tried to flash Zeus immediately after flashing back to stock. After I went to CWM from flashing to stock, I immediately tried to flash to Zeus, but had issues. I'll take the blame for trying to rush and take shortcuts. I'll see how this goes again though.
Okay, after flashing back to stock with Odin, my phone loads up and does the "Rethink possible" thing when you turn it on and after that, nothing happens. The screen just stays off. If I press the power button, nothing happens, but if I hold it, it just reboots and goes back off. This is just annoying...
EDIT: Okay, it worked the second time. I have no idea why as I did nothing different, but it works. Now I'm gonna try to flash Zeus again.

Faint,
I got lost trying to understand what you were trying to ask.
Gtg unbrick is prob the best option.
It's usually best to describe the system, setup, the bug and the attempt.
Then pose the bottom line question.

Well what I was asking originally was how I can fix the problem I was having, but flashing back to stock via Odin helped. Now I'm having ANOTHER issue... after FINALLY having fixed up everything, I tried to restore some stuff with Tibu, but then my phone started saying a bunch of processes were force closing or something, so I tried to reboot and now I think I'm bootlooping. I'm stuck at the "The Collective" thing that shows up when you boot up your phone and it doesn't do anything. It'll go and do what it normaly does, go black and start up again, then come to a complete stop and repeat the process. I then went to CWM and tried to wipe factory settings, cache and dalvik cache, but I'm still having this issue. Geez, it's one problem after another, and all I wanted to do was restore my apps. On the bright side, I DO KNOW flashing from Odin helped because once I regained control of my phone at the way it should be normally, I had my normal data speeds and didn't have issues with data. I'm going to try to fix this bootlooping issue now. :|
EDIT: Escaped the bootloop(?). Thank God... I honestly thought I'd have to flash back to stock with ODIN AGAIN and then redo everything.
Hey, so another question... before I flashed to stock and everything, I backed up all of my apps with TiBU, but now I can't find them; the restore file(s?) so I can get all of my apps and their data back. Was it saved to the internal SD card? Because I formatted that after backing up...
EDIT: Never mind. I looked around my SD card and... ugh. All my apps are gone and so are my backup files for the apps. Great. Thanks anyway, you two.

If you did a factory reset from within the phone, it will erase everything...
After you odin or heimdall a stock package, and flash a new ROM, don't restore tibu or apps. Download new.
Occasionally they get corrupted and cause you phone to soft boot

One more thing to add on to the TiBu thing, when you restored your apps what option did you use? If your restoring the batch options only select "missing apps with data.". Any other option and you run the risk of getting constant FC's.

I have found this to be the best for me also, new ROM...fresh install of all apps...so easy when you have the apk's, I just put them in a folder, then to my sd and install away and if I need to update I look that app via the market and update that way, or via the desktop pc thru the market online.
I found this site very useful has all my apps I need/require:

Yeah, it seems that's the best way to go. Even though I backed it up with CWM, I didn't expect it to not backup the kernel and modem. I realized the kernel part a lot sooner, but after having a lot of texts that didn't go through the way they normally would, I thought it was an issue with my phone and then I decided I'd check the modem and found out I didn't have the KL2 modem I'd normally have.

[Q] com.phone.android has stopped. Device unusable

Hey guys...today i put the factory ATT ICS from sammobile on my device via Odin. Now, about every 2-5 seconds I get the com.phone.android crash message. I've looked at about 50 or so different threads and can't seem to find a resolution.
I've factory reset, I've reflashed, I've cleared cache data in phone, I've cleared cache data in contacts storage. On the verge of phone smash.
Any ideas?
Try reverting to stock via kies? it sounds like you have a bad flash maybe due to the file. In stock you shouldn't have these issues.

THanks for the quick reply. Actually I just went into boot/recovery mode (not sure of correct name) and cleared cache a few times and did another full wipe and problem solved. Must have been some strange conflict...
Try fixing permissions if it happens again. That will usually fix FCs without a full wipe (although phone process FCs tend to be a little trickier to get rid of).
Not sure if you tried first time around but I always wipe things a minimum of 3X (usually 4-7 -- call me paranoid).
I'm glad you fixed the issue; I haven't seen/heard this one before.

[Q] Stuck on bootloader after battery drained

Last night I was out and my battery drained and phone shut off. When I got to the car and put it to charge the phone got stuck in the loading screen for a long time. I power cycled and nothing. I booted up to TWRP and wiped cache and the phone booted and got to the updating apps part and at the end it got stuck in the starting app part and never finished booting.
I'm on stock 4.4.2 and rooted. I was using faux's mainline kernel and had been running the latest version for a few days already.
I've tried a few things to try to get it working. I flashed the stock kernel back again and that didn't work. I also flashed the stock system image but nothing. I've been searching al morning for a fix. If possible, I would like to fix it without having to lose all my data.
Here is a logcat as well. http://pastebin.com/UYn9Z3Ja
This might sound too simple, but have you tried holding the power button for 30 seconds and letting it boot
Sent from my Nexus 5
Yea. I've power cycled it a few times and just let it sit there for long periods of time to see if it boots and it doesn't go past the boot animation. Only time it goes past it is when I wipe cache and after that it get stuck on starting apps.
I'm afraid your going to have to factory reset it. This is kind of a pita, but in recovery adb pull your /sdcard to your pc. Then afterwards adb push it back. That'll save your data. You'll probably have to flash the factory image and then reinstall twrp too.

[Q] Problems flashing an already rooted 4.4.3 over 4.4.2

I flashed the ROM and baseband per instructions in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/goo...-android-4-4-3-ktu84m-rooted-busybox-t2557523
I had 4.4.2 and he said it had to be stock, and it was with the exception of potentially having some system files modified due to other apps, like Android Tuner. I wiped Dalvik cache and regular cache, installed both files as mentioned through TWRP, and yet upon starting I get a notice to update to 4.4.3 despite already being on 4.4.3, and it can't connect to T-Mobile which is my service provider. Am I doing something wrong here? I figured by "stock" ROM he meant the original and not CyanogenMod or anything like it. Was that supposed to mean stock Android with zero modifications to the system files?
I didn't want to do a factory reset and have to redo all my data and applications, but if I must then I will.
There is a rough thunderstorm going on so maybe that knocked out T-Mobile service, but I find it rather coincidental.
]UPDATE] Turns out that the storm coincidentally disabled the towers at around the exact time I updated my phone. The phone was flashed fine. T-Mobile is the problem. Thanks for the help!
It doesn't matter what ROM you're coming from but if it's not stock you need to wipe. But whatever mods you have on stock is irrelevant.
If you're having issues connecting,, wiping cache is often the cause. Check. Our imei etc is correct. Maybe fastboot flash a stock cache image or Nandroid restore

It was the original stock that shipped with the phone, with potentially some files modified from an application. Strangely when searching for networks to connect to, Sprint and AT&T show up as normal but not T-Mobile, although their APN's show up as if I am connected but can't get access to their service.
The IMEI within the phone appears to match the worn off label. Either way, I cleared the Dalvik and regular cache again so I'll see what happens when the phone finishes booting.
Surely it's booted by now?

It finished updating the apps and didn't get a connection, however when I traveled outside of my home zone to work, after I reach the spot outside of the city at which there is no LTE support and it drops to EDGE the connection picked up and remained. After I returned from work and got back in the city near my home where it switches back to LTE the connection dropped again and remained that way even after wiping the caches again.
Does this still sound like a software problem or maybe it's on T-Mobile's end?
Fixed

Just rooted, froze apps, and now stuck on Verizon screen

I just rooted last night and everything was good... This morning all I did was freeze some of the stock Verizon apps, and the system crashed. Now when it reboots, it's stuck at the Verizon screen. I can access Bootloader/Recovery, and have tried "fastboot erase cache" but that hasn't fixed it. If I let it sit, I can hear notifications and stuff in the background (I also have MightyText installed, and can send/receive texts via that), so Android is running in the background - it's just "stuck" on this Verizon screen. I'd really rather not have to do a factory reset, since I just spent last night getting everything set back up from the root process.
Any suggestions? Please help!
Uncertain. Just a shot in the dark but which recovery do you have? Have you tried doing a "fix permissions" within it?

TWRP. Just did that now, no changes.
You may have froze something you shouldn't have. At this point, I'd personally do a full wipe and reflash the ROM. If not on a ROM and on the stock RUU ROM. I would:
1) consider flashing a stock based ROM:
This ROM is 100% stock based off RUU -
http://forum.xda-developers.com/ver...-4-17-605-9-stock-resources-firmware-t3196906
2) run RUU again, and freeze one app at a time to narrow down what may have caused this.
3) you can try a wipe of just cache/dalvik cache

Next time when you're cleaning out Verizon bloat, don't take out anything that you're not sure of.
Leave in there: VZWAPN and vzwdummylibs if you dump any Verizon apps.
Besides being able to start the phone, it's got to be able to send and receive calls. I have learned this thru bad decisions and their results.....
