On sspence10 build I was able to set up the slider options, but I whenever I attached a photo to the direct dial option, the systemui crashed and forced me to restore another build or clean flash.
TiBU not working with ART runtime
I am using sspencer10's build, and TiBU will not open while using ART.
Why start a new thread on this?!?! You post things like this in the ROM thread. Oh and update TiBu. It works on ART now. This thread should get closed since the OP isn't asking a question but posting bugs.

alright so, I recently flashed miui(latest available version) and there were a couple of questions I had
The first one is, how come torch doesn't work?
or is it just me?

#1 is answered in the issues of the miui thread in the dev section. Its a known bug being fixed.

You generally get better help asking your questions in that particular ROM's thread. That's where the people using it are checking.
But Tesla LED from the Market will probably work for you and Widgetsoid also from the Market allows you to easily add toggles to the pull down shade. I do not use MIUI however and am just giving general advice.

I installed this rom ( LINK UP[ROM][CWM] updated 12/23/2011 | AOSP Style 2.1 | KJ6} ) and got into lots of bugs so I'm gonna share it here what I did to fix it
1. Root was not working properly can't get permission from superuser
FIX: (I have to root the phone again with superoneclick 1.6.5 is the only one working for me)
2. SU binary won't update missing md5 blablabla cannot remember what it was
FIX: (I installed busybox to fix the missing file)
3. Android Keyboard force close error (the application android keyboard process com.android.inputmethod.latin)
FIX: (I look for gingerbread keyboard and flashed it)
You should post in the rom's thread so that the author takes notice.

Just noticed you don't have enough posts to post in the dev section yet.
Try PM'ing him a link to this thread I guess.
Have you tried a data wipe and then reflashing? I was on that rom with no issues

Yeah, I had no problems with this ROM either... It's great, actually.
Rather than creating a thread saying that this person's ROM creates problems, PM is the best choice. Especially if you've read through the ROM thread and did not see a bunch of complaints.

jeeze, how many times do I have to tell people that I am working on a massive update. The android keyboard fc is a problem with Valhalla final. Also the root isn't an issue. Plus all users should flash the beta 2d kernel.

Maybe you should post this info in the OP of your development thread so you don't have to keep telling people. it first look like you ever update it and I wouldn't expect many folks around here to read the entire thread even though they should. maybe you should Post a section about other suggestions such as update to the new kernel and that the keyboard fc is a known issue. Btw, in observation, it looks like you might be starting to understand why people ask you to keep quiet about cm variations un less you have some development to offer

I was on KD1 rom and reset my phone to factory settings delete cache in cwm and installed the rom. that what I did. and for the android keyboard I was gonna post the link for android keyboard here where I got it but it won't let me

Being on froyo and flashing a GB ROM may have been the "root" of your problems. Try my upgrade guide then re flash the ROM and give us an update

so far im not getting any issue going on right now after the fix I did.
I also have some question I have a Samsung Vibrant (T959) which has Bionix V based on froyo I believe and I really like it so I just wanna know if there's a rom like that for Galaxy S 4G? I've tried to flashed the bionix frost but I didn't like the custom theme running on proluncher and I don't like apps running in the background I like my phone on stock theme
EDIT: I didn't like the music player that comes on this AOSP syle rom I like the one that comes with the bionic V that I have on my Vibrant and I tried to install that music player apk I took from my vibrant to my galaxy s 4g but Im getting force close error is there a way to make it work?

I am still kinda new to this and the AOKP ROM...I saw some mods earlier on her transparent contacts and transparent mms and a status bar tweak that I would really like to try out... My question is where do I put the. Zip files and how would I flash them from CWM, please help?

No...you got the wrong impression from that or maybe i worded it wrong...the mods are all .apk files. i know where to stick the .zip for flashing roms im not that much of a noob. im just unsure where to stick the .apk....my bad after re-reading what i wrote i completely wrote it wrong.
Use root explorer delete old version of apk then move new apk to system/app fix permissions then reboot

Thank you very much. anything else I should know with other modding files and such? sorry I'm just really curious. I love this ROM but I'm learning a bunch of new things as well. I hate asking questions but would flip ape ish if i bricked my phone.

I cant post a reply in any of the cm10 threads so I'll ask here...and I know why I can't post its well understood...that being said
My questions are...I see there is a 8/7 build for cm10 as cm10 beta...I am running alpha a1...is the alpha a1 more stable than beta?
Also in that thread it was mentioned that the camera on the 8/7 build was not working but it works just fine on alpha a1 which is why I asked the question above.
Im sure through all of that you all know what I am asking.
Just need some info.
I like the feel of this rom its very well built....big thanks to the developers
And my last question right now is does anyone know what will be added to this rom in the coming future aside from fixes....
I.e. mods tweaks etc?

Mods unnamed 101 rom. Google plus keeps force closing. Newish to flashing roms so I decided to run rom manager again. Says it USUALLY fixes fc so that'll work, its that simple right? Lol nah absolutely no feedback when I have it fix permissions, not quite sure where I'm goin from here

Ah I was waiting for myself to put it in the wrong place, my apologies. Could you tell me why it belongs in q&a instead? I was debating on which one and general seemed to have a lot of simple new user questions. Anyway it worked for a minute, no clue why i didnt try that already I plea exhausted. It signed me on even but when I selected a message it fc'd again. Which leads me to believe that its a problem with my rom unless theres something else obvious I'm missing. there's a couple other quirks involving contacts with this one

Google+ (particularly messenger) was fc-ing on me on Unnamed Rom. Fixing permissions doesn't fix the problem (or any of the other several fix attempts I made).
MOD is aware of the issue and is working on it for an upcoming update.

I had tried this method, doesn't work. I also tried force uninstalling G+ using Titanium Backup and then reinstalling from the market. This didn't work either.

I would like to post this in the correct thread but I guess I have to have 10 or more posts to do so. I would just like to help the development of CM10 buy sharing my experience with the nightly builds. In build 10/05 seemed everything was running smooth. Build 10/07, and build 10/08, screen rotation back to portrait from landscape not working. It worked in nightly 5. For example, if watching YouTube video you turn to portrait to watch the video then pause the video, turn back to portrait and it stays on landscape. You have to hit the back button to get back. Just trying to give you a heads up. Love the rom though. It's my favorite.

Well I figured out the problem. I have been dirty flashing the nightly udates. Well I was thinking about it and thought to try and do a factory reset ,wipe cache wipe delvik and reinstall new update and that took care of my screen rotation issues. Running smooth again.

do you guys actually factory reset your phone prior to each nightly? I never do it and never have issues
Normal routine for me is to update my Titanium Backup backups and dirty flash, not even wipe cache or anything.
If I run into problems, then I go back and wipe the caches see if it fixes it, if not, factory wipe and re-flash and restore my TiBu backups...
99.9% time I don't run into any problems and only have to do the dirty flash.
It's very frowned upon though to dirty flash and post about bugs or problems you're having without doing a full wipe first.
I also do not wipe my phone for nightly updates. I have in the past, when trying to troubleshoot a problem, but I dont believe its actually fixed anything when I have. When I used the new CM updater, even that didnt wipe my phone. Might do yourself a favour to not mention dirty flash in the official thread, that term seems to set some people off on a tantrum. :laugh:

Hmm, have you tried the latest or the M2 build? I just switched back to Synergy for this weekend because I'm traveling, but I've been reading a lot of good things about M2...
Perhaps do a clean flash for that and see what happens?? Good luck!
