i337M Doesnot need to flash a 4.3 modem to flash Custom ROM - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S 4 General

I337M Users just need to restore to stock 4.2.2 and get the OTA.. and then install whatever rom you like...GE 13 ETC. Also need to flash a custom kernel...
that will solve all the signal drops and lost connection.!..
it seems difficult to just flash the 4.3 modem.bin file in the Forum.. at least I couldnt get it to work,
but this way! yes,,use whatever rom you like!:good::good::good::good::good:

I think if you are on 4.3 there's no way to go back to 4.2 2...As of today

There is a reason why people like me only flash the modem.
I don't want that knox crab on my phone.
I'm sticking to modem and nonhlos flashing.
Remember if you root your new upgrade you void warranty forever ; not me because I can just Odin back to stock and sell it. With warranty

Did you try flashing new Canadian 4.3 modem and non_hlos (only if planning on flashing 4.3roms ) it should work

Skip non_hlos. It is directly tied to new bootloader and sound. Just like in international sgs4.
It won't help wifi, but might and in my case, lose sound. Flashing just old non_hlos does not help. You have to go back to 4.2.2 + old non_hlos to get the sound back.
In my case, my nandroid.

[Q] Convert MB865 to ME865

Hi pels, i got an Atrix 2 MB865 international. I mean, not-AT&T
So, i was trying to convert it to ME865 to flash MIUI, and also, have the 4GB internal storage.
So, if i flash an ME865 firm into my MB865, will this convert the model of the phone?
In case of flash the firm, i will flash one of these firms, The retail china, or The retail Hong Kong:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1934874
A person that i just met on Internet told me that he did that, but, i don't know if i can trust him.
Btw, in case that i want back to ICS, what should i do with that fxz? I don't know how to use it. The first time, when i installed miui, and want to go back to ics i flashed de ics leak, but that hard bricked my phone. And i have to pay to they can fix my phone. They changed the motherboard. Or at least that what they told me.

I can't install it. I flashed de firm with RSD. The phone reboot, everything ok. Starts the boot animation, the 'M' logo, with the waves. Then, the animation stop, and the 'M' logo is static. And, stays like that. I left the phone for a while, because i know the first boot takes a litte bit more time, than the other ones. But, i left it like 10 minutes, and nothing happens.

Hey guys. Need some advice. I got this device from a friend. She bought it in China. It's a 3G GT-P6200. Now, the issues is that I don't know to which carrier it belonged to, and I want to flash an ICS stock ROM on it.
Here's the data:
Baseband version: P6200ZCKL2
Kernel: [email protected] #3
Build number: HTJ85B.ZKLC2 P6200ZCKL2
I'd like to flash the stock ROM for my country, Serbia. This is what I get in the recovery mode. Do you have any recommendations?
Thanks in advance

Yes and yes and yes..
You wont be bricking your tablet by flashing roms from different country.. my tab was from the philippines and i flashed UK ICS rom..
No problem with it..
A way of bricking you tab is wiping from ICS STOCK RECOVERY..
Remember that well.. but wiping from HC Stock recovery is safe and from CWM..

I don't know for sure but a while back, I did come across several threads/posts about this on other Samsung devices, so I'm inclined to believe that yes, flashing official Roms of other countries/regions does void your warranty. You'd have to go back to stock via KIES

[Q] Changing baseband version of stock ROM

HI GUYs, it's me again.
Now we know we have Germany android 4.2.2 official
but the baseband version isn't our own country's
but i still wanna flash it to my phone without losing warranty
so..
is it possible if any developers change the baseband version of this stock ROM, without rooting or cwm and without further modification? like, only change the baseband version of the ROM and then make it look like my own country's ROM (the samsung guy only checks your root state and baseband version if i'm right) so if any awesome developer would make it possible, then it's beneficial to everyone who wanna flash the ROM, but don't wanna lose warranty)
so...
is it able to:
1) Change the baseband version without bricking or further modifying?
thanks
I think its possible but its hard stuff cause u have to change the radio.
And if u not 100% sure what u doing u will brick ur phone.

wish me good luck, im always very nervous about odin
Look at this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1658809
I don't know if it is a problem to flash a baseband from a 4.1.2 rom to 4.2.2??
But I think you lost your warrenty because it is a modification. Normaly there is no 4.2.2 rom for your country Samsung know your provider knows, so when you have a problem with the device an send it to repair, people know that there isnt't a 4.2.2 rom available but you have - maybe they don't accept the warrenty. So wait for 4.2.2 or have fun!

Hello Friends, This is BRICKBEATS and I have just COOKED my first custom rom for the Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III 4.3 from the recently released update. This is stock WITH KNOX APPS REMOVED AND SOME VZW BLOAT REMOVED, and was supposed to have root but it doesn't seem to work at this time. THIS IS A CWM FLASHABLE ZIP AND DOES NOT FLASH THE SECURED BOOTLOADERS, MODEM, OR RPM FILES!!!! I just flashed it to my phone less than an hour ago so any bugs are unknown as of yet. I figured we could all test it out and any input is appreciated. I will get screen shots soon!!! Enjoy
edit: wifi is broken
edit 2: give a decent amount of time for that first boot, it may take a battery pull and hard reset..

Yes if you do flash this rom you can in fact revert to 4.1.2 or any version of android built for this phone for that matter. All this is doing is just installing a rom that has the 4.3 base. If you do decide to go back, just flash a rom thats built on any other version of android for this phone.
this is actually a better rom option with more functionality...
