What am I missing here? It says I have over 12GB of storage for use but only 500mb available even though it clearly shows that I've only used about 5GB. I'm no mathematician, but this just doesn't add up. Anyone else experiencing similar issues? I have the 16GB version, for what it's worth.
You might have to try backing up you phone and then hard reseting it.

Use disk usage from play to analyse.
Are you rooted? If so, double check you've nothing in /data/media other than 0, obb and legacy

I am rooted. I had a ROM stored under /data/media for some reason. I deleted it but I'm still only showing 800mb available.
... I just ran Disk Usage and I think I found the culprit. Spotifycache has taken up almost 4GB. I no longer use Spotify so I will find that folder and delete it. Hopefully it will solve my issue.
EDIT: I can't delete the Spotiy folders with Root Explorer for some reason...
EDIT 2: Plugged the phone in and used Android File Manager to locate and delete the Spotify Cache folder. This got me 4GB of space back so I think I'm all set.
Spotify folders don't like being deleted. Is it the one in Download?
Best bet is clear it from spotify app itself. In spotify settings is a "clear cachecand saved data" option

I was using the AOSP ICS build posted by jt1134 (at rootzwiki dot com/topic/11697-rom-cdma-aosp-ics-cm9-build101-0418/) for the Galaxy Tab CDMA. The first couple of nightlies worked OK on the tablet, but the camera never worked right. Someone else insisted that the camera works correctly on new builds, so they suggested I use CWM to wipe system, and I took it to mean wipe everything so as to start from scratch, and I wiped /data too. Apparently this triggered the emmc erase bug or something, so now my internal SD is useless.
Nobody over in that thread appears to be willing to make a build that works around the issue. I've already tried partitioning my SD card and editing vold.fstab and updater.rc inside the ROM, but these are apparently useless unless init.rc in the boot image (zimage I guess) is changed. A person attempted that but seems to have gotten the filesystem type wrong in the build (ext2 instead of ext4), and is unwilling to make another attempt. I don't know anything about compiling a custom ROM myself. I've looked into decompressing/recompressing the zimage, but it's too much for me.
What I'm asking here is, can anyone help get a build of ICS to me that I can flash, that will ignore the internal SD and use the external? This site is awash with reports and fixes for Encryption Unsuccessful for other phones and tablets, so I'm hoping somene here can understand my frustration. I haven't been able to use the tablet for over a month now, I think, and I'm not getting anywhere on my own. TIA
Why not ask this great forums section for your device...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1081
And which thread are you referring to...the thread at the other site....? I bet if you present your question or request here at the XDA for your device you will get an answer. Thank you.

Go to apkmirror.com
Find newest play music app
Download and update it
Go to settings and usb storage
Find play music , move it to sd - card.
Bingo! Your sd card is now used for play music.

Is your version of GPM installed as a system app? Installing the latest update from APK Mirror doesn't seem to work on the stock rom with system google apps.

I was just able to get Google Play Music changed over to a user app on my Stock systemless rooted MM. I did not follow the OP's instructions though. First I thought that Titanium backup would be able to convert it to a user app, but it ended up hanging. Instead I used Root Explorer to go into system/priv-app and delete the Music2.apk. After that I rebooted to make sure that GPM was removed. Once I confirmed it was gone from the system I re-installed it from the Play Store, and moved it to SD.
All works fine now.
Anyone have any idea how to make this work on a non-root (stock) device? I really hate the fact that this scenario doesn't work properly... I have no access to my 128 GB SD card space.

I'm really sorry to bother the admins here. I've searched a lot over the internet but couldn't find anything that would help me. Please take some time out and guide me. Sorry for the inconvenience.
I'm having this trouble of low internal space [130 MB] in my Qmobile X6. [I've pasted screen caps of the phone HW/SW configurations].

I don't exactly remember how I solved this issue a few years back with my HTC WFS, but I do know that it was solved.
So I searched the internet and saw a video on YouTube about "External 2 internal"
I installed the app and while it prompted me for root, I accidentally tapped on the External to Internal button without setting the app as instructed. :crying:
This has resulted in restructuring of the entire storage space and I can't seem to fix any of that. All i remember was that it showed SDC as this:
But now it shows this:
I know that it has swapped the address, but IDK what the original one was to restore in the first place.
It has created these weird partitions and I can't seem to understand what's wrong with it.
I tried deleting the block folder in root/dev/ but it comes back after boot.
The files inside block are as follows:
I tried factory reset but no help.
Also, it has automatically removed all my linked apps. The link2sd now shows 2 partitions of the same storage space but after every reboot, the l2sd app disappears, and so does all those who get linked to SD.
Hi @sulayemaan. Since you messed up your partitions a factory reset won't help. You might have to flash the stock firmware again. There's no dedicated forum for your device here so try posting your query in:

Experts there may be able to help you.
Good luck

I had the same problem with Play Store not being able to update certain applications are not downloading applications at all. I think it's system related and I don't really know what you can do about it but did you try reinstalling Play Store from ApkMirror?

Be very careful with that since you could lose applications you have moved to SD. That's a problem I had once.
When I try to reinstall Netflix on my phone it doens't install from Play Store. When I tried with and apk then it said update not install and it still didn't install. When I tried to find the app in my phone apps I couldn't find anything. I finally tried SD maid where is shows a media client but when I to install it from there it doesn't work. It's like file doens't exist but it's I imprint is there. I don't wanna factory reset my phone is there anything I can try?! Please help me. As you can see from the screenshot it's size is showing as 1B but it doesn't exist.

How about downloading it again with evozi or aurora?
Okay, I tried both of those things and it says Conflicting packages. It could also be Because I also installed a Netflix apk from somewhere else but I had uninstalled it.

Sadly, I must admit to give up at this point... but I am curious: Where did you get it then?
I got it from a telegram channel, I had previously downloaded Netflix from telegram in the past but this had never happened to me before. The apk said, nit was unlocked for 4k viewing with any plan you have so I got greedy I guess..
Oh, suspected as much Well, I prefer remuxes for 4k

What is remixes?! And can you please tell where can I find the solution or who can help me, with this? Thank you btw for helping me so far..
You are welcome. Have run out of ideas. Just for the future, before installing apk from somewhere, do yourself a favour and check them with virustotal before installing.
PS: Alas, cannot tell such things in this forum, sry. google will tell you anyway
Okay, I understand, Thank you for your help.
P.S. Give me your Email cause I googled and now I have more questions lol
