Hello everyone.
I have installed Ditto Rom v3, that custom rom was perfect but I faced with a trouble. I wiped the phone and installed Phoenix v15. My problem has solved.
Yet, I didnt like stock keyboard, even I hate it. Ditto's keyboard was excellent. Can I bring back it ? I want to delete original keyboard from the system and install Ditto's keyboard.
My phone is Note II (N7100) by the way.
Thanks.
Will anyone help me, please ?
There are plenty of keyboard apks out there. U can definitely find the keyboard or looking for.

May be it is too late now because you have already installed a new rom.
When you were with you old rom, you can try backup software like Tianium Backup to backup your keyboard then restore it to your new rom. However, you must have both old and the new rom rooted.

Hi Guys,
I have installed and used CM-7.1.0-11.10.12 (Odexed Rom) on my Milestone xt720 and I like the keyboard layout and functionality...can any one help me get the keyboard to my new ROM?
I do not prefer the Ginger_Original_Glass-signed one but J.Y.Daddy's CM-7 keyboard is much better, I can update it from the recovery. Thank you.
You should beagle to back it up with appbackup app.
System app remover you can back it up on storage card.

Hi,
I am currently trying on new ROMs (ICS for Nexus S i9020t).
I was wondering if I can back up my apps before trying new ROMs and restore them on the newly installed ROMs.
Can this be done? I just want to backup the apps, like gmail, clock settings, gentle alarm (w/settings) etc.
Use titanium

Yes you can.
Use Titanium Backup to do this.
You can find it here.
I'm just asking because since rooting and trying out CM7 and EB 2.3.7 last fall I have been using the Swype beta as mentioned.
Now that I've learned a bit more about how these devices and their ROMS work, I was just curious if anyone knows if the preinstalled Swype will work on a CM7-based ROM.
The reason I ask is that I'm getting sick of the bar for word suggestions in the Swype beta always staying there even after you've selected a word. I have all word-suggestion related settings disabled but it doesn't go away and the original version didn't leave it up.
Guess worst-case I could just use Titanium backup to backup and delete the beta, then pull the original version off my first backup of the OTA 2.3.3 update ROM and install it on EB 2.3.7 right?
not sure if the original will work but ive been using swype from here.. V5 beta not for galaxy nexus... some pretty cool ones and ive had no problems with it.

Theres a swipe restore apk out there that will install the original Swipe as long as you have your original backup on your phone

Yes, you just need the original .apk and the libSwypeCore.so file

just in case anyone was wondering - this works just fine in ICS - yay no more bloody suggestion bar!
Good day everyone, I recently flashed a rom unto my galaxy tab 7.0 plus (GT-P6210) . The rom was developed by Ace9876 titled Galaxy Rom HD . The thing is after I installed the rom my swype keyboard started showing the force close problem. I am wondering if anyone has a solution to this either by removing swype or how to reinstall a working version?

Solution: Use Titanium backup pro and make the pre-installed Swype a user app then remove it with Titanium backup. Once that is done download any one of these Swype Keyboards from the Version 7 release , DO NOT DOWNLOAD THE HONEYCOMB ONLY VERSION

Hope this helps for those of you having issues with Swype not working, enjoy

I'm on RemICS with Revolution kernel.
I used to face this problem when I used Remics. What did the recovery mode said when the backup failed?

That's crazy mate. I only face a word saying..... i forgot, like it said: failed to backup dbdata.
Some sort like that, and the medicine is changing ROM from Remics to Paranoid

I don't want to go and see from paranoid. I adopted the MIUI who seems like to be a really good ROM for battery (may be a lil' bit too much FC, but I can go in with, not a problem). I'll try to nand backup with it and feedback soon. Thanks for the support guy. Glad to see an active community.
no problem, BTW, don't need to change ROM to Paranoid, just pick whatever you like. Tips: Do Nandroid Backup before you mod your new ROM.
