Description:
Ive started working on a tool to clean up after apps (inspired by this thread).
Nobody is perfect and android neither.
Apps you have already deleted sometimes leave data behind.
The system constantly creates logs, crash reports and debug files you don't really need.
The market leaves temporary files of downloaded apps behind.
Lets not go on here...

Installation instructions
* Install this like any other app.
* If your device is rooted, you will be asked if you want to grant SD Maid root permission upon its first launch
* It is up to you what you choose, in each case SD Maid will make best possible use of its features.
* Have the SuperUser application remember this choice, repeated prompts can cause unexpected behavior
Download links
SD Maid can either be downloaded from Google Play or direct from my server, appropriate links are collected here. The unlocker for SD Maid Pro can currently only be obtained through Google Play. I really recommend to only use these two sources. If you can't verify that the apk files are original you may put your device at risk.

Could you post the StackTrace maybe?
edit: The force close comes from the directory "/dbdata/databases" not existing hm...
Where would the directory be located on the HD2 ?
edit2: New version up which wont force close
Does this problem of left over directories only exist on the sgs?

I just uploaded a new version which should not force close, but it seems you don't have that directory /dbdata/databases either.

It seems that the problem of files remaining on the device in /dbdata/databases after uninstalling the app is only existant on Samsung devices.
You can run the app, but there probably won't be anything to show on a non Samsung device.

Yea, thats what happened, all it said was that folder not found. Sorry I dont speak programming, just teck. And Im pretty sure it dosnt matter if I have a rooted phone but im guessing it wouldnt hurt to tell you that im running unrevoked forever on my HTC incredible (not like the app has to cater just me) but i could really use something like this. I put my phone to work like i do my laptop, (you would have to see it to get that)

Thanks, this is very intresting. So the vibrant has this folder too.
The question now would be if this bug does not exist on the vibrant or if it just luck and you have a very clean device .

Works on Fascinate. Found 25 files from uninstalled apps. Great idea btw...

installation:
download Jbed.apk from attachment and install it.
if last section not working for you,
download Jbed.zip and flash it with CWM!
I created a signed flash-able package for easy install it!
Tested on my wildfire and 100% working!
you can press on Thanks button and download it from attachment.
you can flash this package on all clockworkmod recovery version (2 and 3 and 4)

If it's the same thing from Windows Mobile, then it's an app that will let you run java apps on your phone. The same kind of programs that basically ruled Nokia for years.

I just flashed this over on my TF101, but the app does not appear in "My Apps"-list @ Honeycomb 3.2 ...

Jbed.apk is not valid, it says "Parse Error", I get the same error in froyo

I had problems flashing it but fixed it by installing it manually.

What do you know? It works. However there are some real major glitches. If you remember, almost all JAR games etc depended on left/ right soft keys. And in my SGS there is no such thing.
I tried all buttons and keys on this phone, but to no avail. Also the resolution of the games leave a lot to be desired (though for this you cannot do anything from your end).
Any suggestions on the key bug that I have highlighted above will be really appreciated. But once again thanks for making this - LONG TIME PENDING!

Minecraft won't work as none Java application will, this is for J2ME applications/games.

Error message: Maybe no sd card or sd card is busy, please check it
I tried this JBED package and other different JBED versions (from 2.1 to 2.3.1).
The previous versions to 2.3.1 show an FC right after trying to open. ROM details are at the signature.
JBED version 2.3.1, the one contained in this package as well on the LeeDrOiD v3.3.1 ROM for Desire HD / Inspire 4G and the add-on at Android Revolution HD thread for Desire HD / Inspire 4G, doesn't show FC but all of them display a "Maybe no sd card or sd card is busy, please check it" message. So it isn't possible to install any jar.
Any ideas how to make JBED (or other Java VM) work with this Virtuous Unity 1.31 ROM?

I do apologize for the stupid question, but: how do I install this?

Screen distorted
Hi there,
I installed the zip through the stock recovery of gingerbread on my galaxy fit. It installed fine on my galaxy fit and I now have a java app in my app drawer. But when I run the app it searches the jar files on my sdcard (don't know why it also shows my framework.jar etc. system files). When I install and run the java app the screen becomes pixelated. I mean the app doesn't run correctly.. the screen is distorted.. I can't read or view anything. Please help me fix this !!

does this work on a motorolla XOOM wifi/ 3g android 3.2?
I've been trying this for 2 days now but i can not get this thing to work. I've been searching for my old installation disk and found it. So that can not be the problem. After startup i can configure the controls, but after that it get stuck on the save screen and gives a force close.
Can someone please explain me what i'm doing wrong here?

So did you install it on your windows box then make sure that every file and folder is lowercase then copy them from your c:\ to your mem card?

Today I'm gonna show you how to run the old MacOS on your Android Phone!
OK, PLEASE FOLLOW THE GUIDE STEP BY STEP OT IT WILL NOT WORK:
Requirements: A Windows Computer, AAAAND your Android Phone...
Things you will do on your Windows computer:
1. Download the files from the attachments

3. Extract ALL the files from the attachments and create a folder and name it minivmac, then put ALL the extracted files in the minivmac folder EXCEPT checksum.md5

4. Open up MinivMac.exe (should be one of the extracted files) and drag the "System Startup" disk into the MinivMac [Program] window
------------------
5.Then drag 896K.disk into the MinivMac [Program] window
------------------
6.Double-Click on the "System Startup" icon, then click installer, click install, then it should install, then it will ask you for "System Additions" disk so drag it to the MinivMac [Program] and then it will ask you to put the "System Startup" disk so drag it, then click quit
------------------
7. Put the minivmac folder you created earlier in the root of your SDCard
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Things you will do on phone:
8. Open up the MinivMac app you installed, press the option button (which is located on the left of the phone) then click insert disk, a menu will show up, click on 896K, THEN

PS: In the top menus of the MacOS 6, if you click them they wont work, because you have to hold them.:cyclops:

Dead Mac Icon
Am I the only one getting the "dead mac?" Followed the directions, and neither the 896K .dsk image nor a pre-existing one I generated with Basilisk II for Windows worked -- no matter what, I'm getting the "dead mac" icon. Ideas of what to try next?
While we're on it, anybody know where there are instructions for Basilisk II for Android? As I mentioned that's worked for me on my Win10 machine, wondering if that's an option since I see I can get it through the Google store.

Just to clarify...
Basilisk II port- does not work - At least not for SM-N920T (Note 5 / T-Mobile)
Mini VMac (Ver. 1.4.1) for Android - does not support chip-set emulation higher than a Mac Plus Roms or System 7.5.5 , so
What this means is NO COLOR on Android Mac emulation.

So Battlefield 4 Commander App was released. Would it be possible to hack the app so that we can run it on our phones instead of tablets?

-Make sure you are rooted
-Download Market Helper:

-Select Kindle Fire HD under Market Helper
-Activate it without having to change anything else
-Go to your Google Dashboard (App will provide link)
-Refresh your Dashboard by pressing F5 or the refresh button
-Now you can look for the app in the app store and download it

When I spoof my device ID as Nexus 7 it downloads 12mb apk file. But when my friend tried to download it on a real nexus 7, he got a 700mb file. Can someone explain why this happens? This 12mb apk has problems downloading additional files...

I installed this without a problem. It would get stuck in a loading screen after opening the app.

kindle fire HD 7"
I was able to get app loaded, even the updated one. Logs in just fine, but can't get past the play button. It flashes as I'm clicking on it. But won't go past. Any ideas?
Just updated, re-rooted to the latest kindle version to.

I uploaded the 1.0.1 apk and data to dropbox.
They personally wouldn't work for me. It always crashes on my galaxy note 2.

I downloaded the apk and it seems stuck on 0% for downloading updates.
Any work-around that?
It hasn't got to do with the apk not being available, but I think it has to do with the app sucking (based on play store reviews)

Works for me but i can not join through the battlelog app on my Note 3 as i can not get it into tablet mode even when using appsettings xposed module, any ideas?

You need ROOT. Then you have to change DPI in Note to tablet mode (160 DPI).

So can someone reupload the 1,0,1 version please? I tried spoofing my device using Market Helper, but no dice.

There's not at the moment. EA said they are working on a fix. Should be fixed with in a week.
I have the exact same problem myself.

I do have root and i changed to every dpi you can imagine but it just won´t start in tablet mode.
The Problem is that in the PhoneUI i can not connect as Commander. The button just misses....
