Titanium backup/restore manually

Hi,
I have a Samsung Galaxy S GT-I9000B.
I had version 2.1update1 rooted, then i installed titanium backup and i did a full backup of my apps data.
Then I updated my device to froyo ( 2.2 ). Now I am not root anymore.
I tryied z4 and other solution from xda, both failed.
Question: Is it possible restore some apps data from titanium backup? I can see all files in titanium backup dir.
Thanks
If you are no root forget about titanium. If I were you, I would install a custom rooted rom.
put attached update.zip in ur folder....go to recovery mode (press volume up and down and then press power button)....click reinstall packages (the second option is Samsung recovery)...u should be all set

[Q] Used Root Tools program and appeared to have lost root?

It appears that after using Root Tools program to move my cache files to the sdcard that I have lost root somehow.
Titanium Backup, Wireless Thether, etc will not get root access even with permissions granted.
I tried to reroot my phone using unrevoked 3 and remove/reinstall wireless Thether and that did not work.
What do I need to do?
It seems as though root priveleges are just completly gone.
I've looked through other threads with no luck.

Unrooted kindle fire backup

I have a whatsapp backup (titanium backup) from my rooted android phone which I would like to restore to my unrooted kindle touch. I tried sideloading the tianium backup app, but that didn't work since titanium backup would ask for root privileges on the kindle. Is there a way to do this perhaps manually? or some other app?
thanks
Titanium Backup is a Root Only app, you can't use it on an unrooted device because it's need SU access to function.

Can I do full backup without CWM?

So I'm currently on .17, rooted but locked. I want to upgrade to .30 but I don't know whether I should do the Asus upgrade method and use root keeper (then I don't need to do a full system backup). Or to unlock the boot loader, backup my .17 image (and another for apps, settings etc) then flash .30, re-root and CWM and restore backup my data.
I like the Asus update so I don't have to mess with backups but I would like to have a backup of .17. Is there a way by ADB or an app to make it put my /system & /data and anything else I need into a BLOB or ZIP file that if I did unlock and put CWM on later I could restore afterwards?
Thanks in advance.
I've had a Google and can see how to backup APK's and their settings. But I'm wondering how to backup the full /system directory
You could use the 'ddms' tool (Or similar, in that linking) in the android-sdk to try and pull an entire copy of your tf in 'blob' form that you could have as a backup, but there's no way to just restore that, since it'd include the lower version as well.
I'd try Titanium backup and backup as much userdata as you can, and OTA rootkeeper to keep root.
PERI and wolf's root exploit still work though afaik

Question My G100 Un-rooted Itself

I could be mistaken, but it seems as though my G100 has returned to a non-rooted state.
Yesterday morning I was finally able to move the slider for OEM-unlock under Developer Settings.
So I installed Magisk on my device, downloaded a stock firmware using the RSA tool from Lenovo, patched the boot.img using Magisk on my phone, and was able to write that to my phone using the [fastboot flash boot boot.img] command.
And all seemed to be well. I even had my carrier and everything working on it last night and had begun restoring my apps and data with Titanium Backup.
And then suddenly Titanium Backup is reporting it is unable to gain root access. Magisk seems to still believe that the phone is rooted, and Titanium Backup still shows up in it's list. I still see the notification pop up when Titanium Backup launches, saying that it was granted Superuser access. But Titanium Backup has it's own internal popup that says it couldn't acquire root using /system/bin/su
I've tried re-writing my boot.img via fastboot as before, and there is no change in the symptom.
Anyone have any ideas?
I've performed a factory reset on my device, and the command [fastboot flash boot boot.img] again, and it seems to be working.
Titanium Backup is working, but seems to be unable to restore some things. I've reached out to them to see if anything can be done.
After further investigation, it seems the "root" I have obtained so far with the stock ROM is not really root at all. It does allow some root operations, but many are simply blocked on Android 11 by default.
I suspect my only path forward is to install a custom ROM.
Looked into this a bit more and found that disabling the option:
Verify apps over usb
Under developer settings allows Titanium Backup to proceed for most of my restores.
Also, it seems Titanium Backup is deprecated, so that's fun. Edit: Titanium Backup was able to restore most of my applications after the above change, but many of the restored applications simply don't work.
Going to try out Swift Backup.
