[Q] how to root my phone?

I tried z4root v 1.30 , superoneclick v1.95 , universalandroot-1.6.2-beta5. but not happened..
I can not install gingerbreak v1.20 it gives me error..":There is a problem parsing the package"
How can I root my phone? Pls help me.
Is there any manuel way?

I tried v1 , v1.1 , and v1.2 but always same error...

use OneClickRecovery_ver2.apk not need to root to install clockworkmod, an then you can install custom ROM in clockwormod (without ROM Manager)
P.S. when I bought ZTE Blade II the I had same problems an my phone wasn't sim locked..

if i have read correctly (that you have gingerbread 2.3), you first need to downgrade to 2.2/2.2.1/2.2.2 to be able to root using those methods

Thank you for your advice but this is a chinese rom and I don't have 2.2 version for this phone.
And it cann't open recovery mode with key combination...

what model phone do you have?

That's is clone of iphone which have iphone interface and android os. I believe you have not try Universal Androot, that's only way to root this phone.

[Q] Fake Samsung Galaxy S3 problem

Hi guys,
I have here a fake samsung galaxy s3
After hours of searching I finally figured out that my phone is an MTK.
MTK Soft Ver: 0x1220
MTK HW Ver: MT6250
OS: MTK52D
Model: J5001
I wanted to root this phone but there is no development settings so no usb debugging option either..
Basically I want to put a new OS on this phone but I'm stuck not knowing what else to do to try rooting this phone..
What can I do to put a new OS on it..
Any helpful information would be much appreciated!

Does it run Android, and if so, what version? If it's 4.2+, then you need to repeatedly tap 'Build Number' in your about phone page of Settings.

[Q] Help me identify (and root/fix) this Spreadtrum "Samsung" tablet.

I recently got, as a gift, this fake 7'' "Samsung" tablet. It boots (well, booted, but we'll get to that later) with the Samsung intro screen, has a Samsung brand tag-thingie on the back, calls itself "Model: 6200" but it's obviously NOT a Samsung, because if it was I wouldn't be creating this thread now, would I?
I can actually find it for sale as an "aPad Spreadtrum 6508", and I'd link to a site that has it if I could, but I can't because rules. Thing is, there's no such thing as a Spreadtrum 6508 CPU as far as I could find out, and there's no other info around about it. Which brings me to my second issue: I actually found out a couple of things about it trying to root it, but I kinda sorta...bricked it. Ooops. So now I need your help to try and figure out what this thing actually is and how to fix it - please?
What I found out about the thing:
- It's definitely a Spreadtrum 7'' tablet. The specs, according to the tablet itself, are these:

Android Version: android 4.0.3
CPU Model: ARMv7 Processor rev 1 (v71)
Build Number: MocorDroid2.3.5.W12.20_P20.01
CPU Frequency: 1000MHz
Kernel Version: 2.6.35.7, [email protected]#34
As you can see, it "lies" about what it is. The ARMm7 Processor, I'm assuming, is a Spreadtrum SC6820/8810. It's even branded Spreadtrum on the inside. I couldn't find ANYTHING about other Spreadtrum 7'' tablets tho. It seems like everything with those CPUs are 3.5'' or 5'' phones.
- It has no fastboot or recovery mode. It actually has a hard reset button on the top, which is weird. I couldn't adb it either, but I can access it with ResearchDownloader via ChannelServer, even after it's "bricked".
- It looks like the pic attached in this post.
Any help, from the specific brand/model of this thing, to a copy of its firmware, FDLs, even info about other Spreadtrum-based 7'' tablets would be very much appreciated. I'm not very much tech-savvy - I bricked my phone, duh - so I'm kinda at a loss here. Thanks in advance and if this is in the wrong place, please tell me.

I've chosen this section because I really don't know if there is any other section that is appropriate for this thread. Please let me know if there is !
I've received recently a Galaxy S4 as a gift and I was terribly disappointed to find out that it was just a copy...
So my device is an MTK based device, here are the tech specs :

RAM : 512Mo
Display : 5.0 inches, 540x960, 240dpi
GPU: PowerVR SGX 531(Single core GPU)

Somewhat, maybe because it was not the "real" S4, but it's way better than my old Galaxy Fit ^^ !

You can't just dump it. The fake Galaxy S4 is totally different spec-wise from the real thing. The userland software (which is closed source and cannot be modified) will be broken as it relies on hardware capabilities which simply do not exist on the fake one and cannot be emulated in the kernel.

Great, I don't know if it really worth the try but I'm going to check out all this. Any idea how I will flash the patched kernel then? Odin or something else?

Any differences you can spot inside the "touchwiz ui", those mediatek s4 copies are sold as low as MYR 468 per unit @ USD 146.25. The body part is an exact copy of i9500, which looks exactly "Genuine". The thing that I notice it's fake because the status bar clock is not grey ( Samsung default) but instead it's Google Blue. And also there aren't much to set up under the device setting tab.

With an ancient copy, those little details were spotted, but with the version I got, they've made a lot of changes in TouchWiz UI to make it look like the original one, even the settings tabs were modded so we can choose them and navigate as if we're using a GS4. They've even made it possible to fake Antutu results, and a part of CPU-Z infos .
The funny part is that the phone emulates gesture with the proximity sensor (only from right to left xD ) !
@ivkos I saw that some guy uploaded a dump of the ROM, that's why I asked if it was possible, but he's not saying anything on how he did that :/ !

[Q] rooting my citycall android i6310.

well now to make my question as simple as possible, I need to root my citycall android phone. the model number is i6310. I came to know that my phone runs on a spreadtrum processor with the help of an app called CPU identifier. the app reports the following.
CPU type: spreadtrum sc6820a 1000MHZ
smartphone type: sprd i6310(sp8810), spreadtrum based device
supported frequency states: 1
neon capable (for fast videos playback)
ram memory module 256MB DDR (usable 222MB)
GPU : MALI 300 (single core gpu)
my manufacturer is citycall.
I could not root it with any of the one click apps for root. eg: framaroot, z4root, gingerbreak, etc:-. I will give u more Information if needed. please help me in this case. also my phone reports that it runs on jellbean. but I am sure that it is not. maybe gingerbread. last piece of note is I am an entry level to android. so please be kind enough to explain steps simpler. and if saying about some technical stuff, please explain me. also I'm am not a Linux user. I am a win7 64 bit ultimate user.
I have tried to root via system but I need drivers for that. so please help me in that area too!!
Please forgive my English if I had made mistakes.
