I recently purchased a HCl me 2g tab
with following spec 1 GB ram,1 GHz a9 cortex processor, Mali 400 GPU, 4 GB flash memory, 3g connectivity with dongle, android 4.1 Jellybeans
The problem is except inotia and dark saint I am unable to find any proper game RPG offline for me. any game i download via 1mobile app preinstalled dont tell me about compatibility, cant install google play says not supported need help everyway, also suggest me how to upgrade to a better stable rom.my device is not rooted and HCl so far has not come up with stock ROM upgrade. thanks in advance
P.S I tried the baidu root device but it says rooted but later having problem with the rom files itself error message popups here and there and secondly you cant uninstall the baidu root app if you do then the root is gone, As for games I have found out that Resident evil biohazard 4 works great I had downloaded the whole file from the net so no need to download the data file separately. I done it with the help of Pc on a 3g connection and transfered it to the mobile memory

Hi guys. This question was answered in another thread that was about the Blu Studio 5.3 in general, but it was way down in the thread and the site that explains how to do it is in Portugese, so I thought a separate thread would be useful for searchers.
I was able to root the Blu Studio 5.3 (Android 2.3.5, kernel version 2.6.35.7) using SuperOneClick 2.3.3 with the alternate ADB driver. I was NOT able to get it to work with the Linux version of SOC or get it to work using a Windows virtual machine running on a Linux host. I had to boot into a real Windows 7 system and install SOC, and then it permanent rooted the Blu with no problems in about 30 seconds. I have confirmed that the root survives poweroff and reboot, but haven't tried SOC's shell root or unroot.

Have rooted with the linked file and the instructions above. Only question is how to go about scaling the CPU or overclocking it. None of the current programs like SetCPU seem to work.
Correction: MTK CPU Control works perfectly to boost the 650Mhz processor to 800Mhz with noticeable improvement in speed and functionality both in interface and in gaming. Available as a free trial and as a paid app.
Anyone figured out the overclock CPU settings yet. I only get zeros or nothing on all the overclocking apps...

Root for Blu Studio 5.3 D510 wow!!!
Keeping all my hopes on XDA I have bought 2 of them even though D510 doesnt support 3G band 900/1800 for WCDMA frequency in Asia.
This mobile got impressive enough hardware to attract the developers around but was ignored due to its little brand name.
I am waiting for some kind of success in rooting this with CWM so that I can remove unwanted bloatware.
Also any chances to enable 3G network with 900/1800 Mhz band in service mode like samsung???

All the type of files that I tried are .mp3 and .wma

Though i faced problems with the driver. and another important thing is that I executed the command one by one mentioned in the ROOT.bat file. I dont know why running the batch didnt work for me. Also, the embeded adb only worked not the one with the android SDK.
I tried flashing CWM, but kind of soft bricked my TAB. I had to reflash stock firmware again to get my TAB back

The reason I looking for the latest ROM is because I am getting a screen distoretion
and guys from wickedleak directed me to download a latest firmware
Also gettting some random freezes now and then

Thanks for pointing out the ROOT.bat I got the ROOT_icood70pro but ddnt realize the embedded adb is the only adb I never try and that is the working one with my RK3066. I am using Ployer Momo7 dual core.

i have recently bought an Android tablet with jelly bean 4.1.1 shipped without Google play/market . # dissappointing #
i managed to install Android market 3.3.12 . everything works fine with the exception of you tube . the youtube app works but without the updates to the you tube app.
I installed 4 files /apk/ to get the market running.
but again there isnt any sign that Gapps are available fir download .
can anyone put me in the right direction where to find google play apk that will work on my system ?
i would root this tablet in order to install the offical 4.2 rom if its available.

UPDATE
I have found loads of different google play apk's online and none of them have worked .
i found several Google Play apk 3.10.10 and i tried to install them over the current 3.3.12 and it resulted in the market force closing .
i also tried to delete the 3.3.12 market apk and install the google play 3.10.10 apk and the same symptom , force close . or stopped working upon launch .
i have tried to install google play in many different ways and i receive on occasion the apk you tried to install had conflicts with another already installed apk . i have tried to delete the initial 4 files for android market . but i cannot delete them . 3 of them are system files .
so whats next ? anyone ??

Search for Root_with_Restore_by_Bin4ry_v17 or v18.
It is easy to use and will root your device.
It will push SU as well.

I was gonna post this in the help thread but Im afraid I have too many questions
1. What does it mean when I get 'Parse Error' when trying to install a game .apk?
Ive seen other phones with same cpu/gpu with new ICS OS running the game.
Does this mean the game doesnt support my old Gingerbread OS even though I have the same cpu/gpu?
For example, my phone can run GTA Vice City without any lag, but it gets the parse error when trying to install
Evertales, Gangstar west, and Brother in arms 2.
2. If I do need ICS, how do I format and change OS of my phone?
Ive seen other phones such as the Micromax A68 Smarty with the same MediaTek MT6515 cpu has ICS on them.
Im wondering if its possible to change the Gingerbread OS of my phone to ICS.
3. If I manage to successfully update to ICS, wont the phone need drivers for Wifi/Wlan, Camera, Touchpad, etc.?
I ask this because I build computers and know that windows doesnt auto detect drivers for some motherboards.

Easiest thing to do would be to find the settings.apk online and install it which isn't really a good option [and i doubt you'd find it]. So just backup your stuff and reflash the stock ROM, root again and install the theme this time without deleting the apk file.

(Even there is one more file is there the extension id .Odex) i need to do anything with it ?

.odex files are usually found with an apk file. It supposedly helps in saving space. If you tried the settings.apk and it didn't work you're going to have to re-flash your current ROM, root and then install the theme. There doesn't seem to be any other option...
