How to fix no sound after flash rom JB 4.3 - Galaxy S 4 General

=> Problem: After flash some cook rom JB 4.3 with Adam kernel or others except Perseus your phone has no sound. Cannot call or hear any sound.
Here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2514162 or here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2433408
=> And here is how to fix that problem:
Method 1: Flash rom again with CWM 6.0.4.5 at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2489234. Or flash Perseus kernel to fix that.
Method 2: This is the simple guide how to fix that problem I found on the Google. I don't create it but only share it. Credit to the author of the script. I have tested this on my I9500 and worked.
1. Install FX File Explorer with Root Add-on https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=nextapp.fx&hl=en
2. Download this file http://www.mediafire.com/?sq2bf82m2jw5t85 and extract it to your /sdcard.
3. Use FX File Explorer to browse and run script file restorecon.sh with root permissions.
4. Wait 1, 2 minute to the script is excute finish.
5. Restart your phone and the sound will come back.

Or if you have the i9500 you can flash the new Adam kernel 3.5 - Sound issue has been fixed

Help with rooting my Nexus One please

Update using official patch file
You must be runnning the stock FRF85B release with stock recovery. Copy that file to the root of your sdcard, rename to update.zip, launch recovery (power on with volume down held), press power and volume up when the warning triangle icon appears then select 'apply update.zip'.
Download: Google
Update.zip to flash with custom recovery
This is the totally stock FRF91 repacked as update.zip. The radio hasn't changed since FRF50, so if you are using it, you can keep it and install the noradio version.
Download:
- without radio image: multiupload (md5sum: 041b1e21433e636340ca6b56f141a315)
Root
To root FRF91, just flash this update.zip (contains busybox, superuser.apk, su, unsecured boot.img) (md5sum: c6c27598c210576792d6d56738a2edde)
Addons pack
Just flash this update.zip (md5sum: 7cf8074d3685681728043f367e6b35fd) contains :
- cyanogenmod 6.0 kernel (2.6.34 overclockable to 1113mhz using setcpu)
- dev tools in xbin
- hudge apn list
The three updates can be flashed at the same time (I mean without rebooting between the flashes), just flash it in this order: base system, root then addons and reboot

MIUI extended settings

I can't seem to install them properly. Everytime I attempt to I have to use Odin to go back to stock. Anyone know how to fix this?
Here you go
If you experience any trouble with the above try these tips below :-
WORKAROUND if flashing doesn't change anything:
1. Reboot into recovery
2. Manually mount /system and /data from recovery menu
3. Flash the downloaded file
WORKAROUND for recovery error (Status 0):
1. Unzip your ROM and find
META-INF/com/google/android/update-binary file
2. Put this file in the zip containing the Mod (overriding MOD's META-INF file)
3. Flash your modified zip.
Straight from the MIUI forum.
MIUI 1.9.30 Extended settings have not been released and probably wont until Friday or whenever the next update is.
Be sure you are rooted and have MIUI installed properly and have booted into MIUI.

[ROMcustomizer]PIMP MY ROM FOR O3D by "androidguide.fr"

PIMP MY ROM V2.0 FOR O3D:fingers-crossed:
Hey guys I have just tried the ROM customizer PIMP MY ROM by Androguide.fr for all android devices, and I found that V2.0 of this CWM flashable Aroma Installer works fine on O3D.However extra apps like sony ericsson walkman suite and and DSP manager from this installer doesn't install, except this everything works cool.
First download V2.0 HDPI version for O3D then do as follows:
Open the zip of the rom you are running with winrar or 7zip or whatever (the .zip file that you flash in recovery)
Inside this zip, navigate to : META-INF/com/google/android
Extract the file called "update-binary" and rename it to "update-binary-installer" then close your rom's zip
Open Pimp my Rom's zip (i.e : PIMP_MY_ROM-v1.5.3-by-Androguide.fr.zip)
Do not unzip it, inside this zip, navigate to : META-INF/com/google/android and delete "updater-binary-installer"
Now copy the "update-binary-installer" file you extracted & renamed from your rom to Pimp My Rom's zip (still in META-INF/com/google/android). Simply drag and drop it into PmR's zip to add it.
Close the zip and flash it
How to Flash PMR installer:
You can flash this on top of any custom rom with init.d support(like DNA_GB3.33)
- Download the version of Pimp My Rom that corresponds to your device's screen resolution (Not sure what res your device is ? Here "http://blog.blundell-apps.com/list-of-android-devices-with-pixel-density-buckets/" is a well-furnished list of android devices with their screen-res)O3D'S SCREEN RESOLUTION IS HDPI.
- Make sure you are running a custom recovery (CWM or TWRP)
- Make a nandroid backup of your current ROM, just in case
- Wipe cache and dalvik cache in recovery
- Flash PmR in recovery
- A wonderful touchscreen interface will pop-up
(devices need different touchscreen calibration, if the touchscreen doesn't work, use the menu button of your device, select "Calibration Tools" and follow the instructions)
- Follow the on-screen instructions, make your choices between all the different features to Pimp your Rom
- Select "Reboot my device" on last screen (or reboot from recovery) and enjoy.

Installed but now?!
How do I do to reverse the pimping? I'm sure that, because of it, my phone got bugged: became slower, less responsive, often it freezes on simple tasks like activating WiFi. So how do I uninstall it?

Just restore a previous backup from before the pimping or if you don't have a backup refresh your Rom but try the zip again first most of the options you can reverse
Sent from my LG-P920 using xda app-developers app
First time I used it, I got stuck when it changed the dns & ppp0 settings.
Took the battery out, did everything again and unselected the dns & ppp0 thing and it worked.
Everything is way more smooth and it's faster.
This keeps breaking video recording.
Anybody tried this on our new ics?
Could somebody post what are they tweaking to make our device work better?
I tried it on sanmo prometheus and kernel, sadly it just make things worse. It lagged and sometimes its freeze and bootloop.
I wanted to try it again with the new ics from xbsall. I will report how my device runs after the tweak.
Thanks

De-Odex
Zip Align
Rooted
init.d Support
Bash
BusyBox
Adding apps before flashing
If you open the ROM.zip with 7zip or winrar you can drop apks in the data/app folder in the zip and it will auto install the apps on first boot.
Not Working
Mic Works Just Not Google Voice Search
Auto Brightness Has Issues
IR Blaster is FIXED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Install Instructions
Flash thru CWM Recovery
I recommend a full wipe Data/Cache/System. You dont have to but dont report issues unless you have done a full wipe including system....
If coming from CM you will need to do a full wipe including System before flashing.

[guide] [android 8] viper4android

For Android 7 visit my older thread.
Hi everybody,
I want to show you how to install Viper4android on your phone running developer preview 3 (and hopefully later with Android O.
IM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANYTHING THAT HAPPENS TO YOUR PHONE!!
First download the zip from Androidfilehost.
Zip
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=673368273298967857
Busybox (if needed)
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=961840155545578665
Extract it to any folder, you will have two files now, a Viper4android App and a flashable Viper4android zip.
Reboot into recovery and install the zip, I also recommend a custom kernel like the Jolla Kernel which already has Android O support for loudness control (for my Nexus 5X).
Boot normally install BusyBox and launch Viper4android.
Select install drivers, grant root permission and wait until it is installed.
If a IO Error occurrs don't worry it'll work anyway.
Reboot and open any file manager.
Delete the Viper4android folder in "/system/priv-app".
Delete "/system/vendor/etc/audio_effects".
Install Viper4android app you downloaded before.
Reboot once again and open Viper4android - driver are working now.
Tested on my Nexus 5X with Android 8 developer preview 3.
Leave a like if it helped.
