Hi..friends...
Here one idea ...
If I install lots of app which is 6 or more pages in drawer ...
& if I want to start one app which is on 3rd page I must scroll down to navigate 3 page every times when I want to start ...or I create shortcut on my main page..or may be use app like pie controller...
Now just for change. One app or say one future like pie control.. I just draw pattern or word on my screen (exp. If I want to start es explore than I just draw "ES" on screen). to launch app.
If any app already available. On market please tell me..because this problem. When I use my friends hts or micromax. A lot off app installed
Now edit:if we extension this will use for like.
To call someone just type:"CAll xyz".similar all function msg everything..just like SIRI done in IOS.
Every app define some pattern or word.
Sent using my brain ...
There is some t9 dialer for application. Jname slipped from my mind. Will let u know..

Check Utter app..Not sure it matches with SIRI (outdated though )
You can use gesture control from lockscreen, its available in stock(jana rom) and cm both..
Just set a custom pattern for custom app that you frequently use.
I'd prefer widgets, because they look more fancy
I am not just taking about lock screen. Control.
for any app u using ...just like pie control display when u press on particular area. So we can switch to any app.

Oh in that case you have about 1000+ apps to choose from..
Task switcher
Dock for droid
Super manager
Smart taskbar
swipe pad
Home flip
Swapps
Itching thumb
Perfect task switcher
Multi tasking pro
Pie control is a mess to use on ldpi though, a part of the screen becomes un responsive..
Is this possible in g.fit.....

Hello
Just got my shiny new N5, and I want to re-order and create new quick settings toggles, like and hotspot on/off, silence on/off. and I cant seem to find anything to add and edit them
Can you please help me.
Thanks
you need to wait for custom roms to be able to do that
Sent from my Nexus 5 using xda app-developers app
best you can do is download 'power toggles' from the playstore

it there any way to diable this annoying gesture? for me its annoying because i accidentaly hit it when scrolling or simply navigating around my phone.

The Cataclysm ROM has a setting to disable it, which is good for me since using the LMT pie control on the bottom of the screen totally doesn't work well with the Google Now gesture.

I just developed an app for that, enjoy

Is there a ways or app that can be used to change what a soft key does.
For example to open "Utter" instead of google search when clicking on search.
I installed "Xperia/AOSP NavBar Buttons" for Xposed and like it but I want to change the action and clicking on search......
In other works, remapping softkeys
Thanks
There is no search button on standard softkeys anyway. Just home recent and back button. I think you may mean the nav ring but either way settings for then can be changed in most custom ROMs now a days

Like I said in my opening post I installed "Xperia/AOSP NavBar Buttons" for Xposed and added the search softkey in the navbar. I don't use the navring and still using stock rom.
On the AICP rom you can change them to whatever you want and also do a long press and a double press as well. It's great.
Nexus 5 powered by AICP/ElementalX/Nova Prime
Gravity box xposed has options to customise the navbar keys

I noticed on the Att model they removed the brightness and volume sliders from the drip down menu
Is there a way to flash the system file to add it back in? There isn't an option for it in the G3 tweak box.

I came here to ask this same thing...why would they remove a feature that we could toggle on and off?

I had it on my F400S and I was surprised that it was removed, and call recording but the ladder was easily fixed .

In G3 Tweaksbox you can enable the status bar brightness slider under Theme > Status Bar > Enable Status Bar sliding (@ bottom of menu)
Note this isn't a slider in the drop down. You touch the status bar without dragging down and slide to change brightness.

I don't have that drag status bar to change brightness functionality on my d850.
I have the icon I can talk that has preset increments but I like to manually slide it sometimes rather than going into the settings.

They might have done this to fix the Chromecast System UI crash
I know it's not as simple, but if you long press on any of the toggles it brings you right to their settings. In the brightness slider case, display settings. Just in case people don't use tweaksbox.

I know, but thats more of a hassle, and I would rather have the slider. Maybe tweaks box will have that feature added to it.
As stated above, only way to get this functionality (somewhat) is to use G3 Tweakbox Xposed module on rooted phone. However this module only gives you ability to change brightness while sliding/dragging your finger on notification bar. Its not what you are looking for but serves the purpose just fine.
However I forgot if this option was enabled in free version of G3 Tweakbox or not. You would have to check yourself since I have already unlocked the premium version so can't go back to verify.

Yes, it is usable in the free version of TweaksBox.
if someone could pull the SystemUI.apk from the Korean variant and then drop your SystemUI.apk, it can be modded in...
this is partially what xda is here for.

Holy cow....ATT and their typical bull****. First the bloatware now this.
It makes absolutely no sense for them to remove such a useful feature. This reminds me of when ATT removed the mobile data toggle on the S4.
Either way, I hope someone will figure out how to add this feature back.
Did you guys try to tap the edit icon in the list of icons in the status bar? In there you can select the toggles you want in the status bar as well as enable volume and brightness Sliders.

.
As lennyuk said earlier, it might have something to do with Chromecast not working because of these sliders in the dropdown menu (some say so)

Yeah I realized that after some digging around. But still, I hope someone creates a mod that can add the codes back.

It's not there, I had a F400S so I remember where it was but here is a screenshot for those who still think it's there on the D850.

I requested the brightness slider to be added in the G3 Tweaks box and its there now. Didn't ask to have the volume slider added in though. Go to the thread for the app and request to have it added in.
