Hi there.
I trying to connect my note 10.1 to a projector. I've gotten 30pins to hdmi, hdmi to vga and yes, I'm plugging in the charger as well.
All the parts have been tested to work seperatly, still... it will not work.
Note 10.1 - 30pin -> hdmi with power -> vga -> projector
Result is "hdmi connected" on note 10.1 and I can see the projectorscreen turn black (with small white dots), but no image from note 10.1
Anyone else experienced this? Or got a solution?
Andreas.

[Q] Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) as multimedia device in car - USB host & cam questions
Hello everyone.
I am currently modding Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 for car instalation and everything seems to be great except I have problems with two things:
1) As the tab will be also my main music player I would need an USB host from time to time (check: http://www.expansys.si/samsung-usb-a...d-slot-229630/ ). It would be hard to switch that adapter with power supply just for the time I need to stick USB in it so I am asking if anyone knows if it is possible to have both active at the same time: power supply and USB host? Or if anyone has some other interesting idea how to transfer data to tablet asap from time to time? Please note that it will be really hard to reach it when installed.
(Or if there were any dock compatible with galaxy tab 2 7.0 I could use? I know there is one for Galaxy tab 7 plus, what about tab2?)
2) Since the tab has back camera (which is useless to me in cars interior) i was thinking if there is any possible way to get that camera out of the tab with some extender or something? I've been looking at the interior of a tablet and the camera doesnt look to be attach in any other way than just a flat cable. Any ideas?
Thank you guys for your help in advance!

I've got Sony Bravia TV (KDL60EX720) - When I connect my Samsung tablet 7.7 p1000 model which is sitting on a dock which has a mini hdmi connection which runs into my tv via a mini hdmi to hdmi converter it does not show up as a connected device.
I've taken the cable out put it back in to see if the TV recognise - but Not happening.
I've put the tablet in sleep mode and turned the display back on to see if that helps - NO
Any tips or suggestions on if anyone had a similar issue connecting hdmi dock to sony bravia tv?

Delete this thread mods. No longer required. I've fixed the issue.
Could u give us the solution so next time someone is having similar problem they could find your topic and try if your solution works out for them? It would add some information to this already quite quiet forum. Thanks!

I'm a science teacher and I use a galaxy note 10.1 (original) to do my lectures and I project the image on the screen with allshare cast. The problem is, our school has old projectors with no HDMI and only XGA resolution. Up until now, I have been using an HDMI --> DVI cable which displays the image clearly. The problem of course is that there is no sound. I don't need sound most of the time, so I've been getting by without it.
However, after reading a few threads on here I found that people had success using allshare with the Cable Matters active HDMI --> VGA with audio cable on amazon. So I picked up one of those. I connected the cable and sound, made sure to power it with the usb cable, and it shows up with just a black screen. No matter what configuration it is in, it just shows a black screen. When I pull the HDMI cable out of allshare and put it into a laptop (acer chromebook), the image displays on the screen fine. So the VGA cable and adapter both work.
Allshare works on the projector with DVI, but not VGA, whereas a laptop works with both on the same projector. Any help?
Does that HDMI-VGA adapter support HDCP? I'm pretty sure there's been a change to the ASCD to require HDCP support on the "display" end.

I did see that, though I'm still on the old LJ02 firmware and furthermore the others I've heard with hdcp issues received a message saying that the device was not hdcp compatible. In my case I cant even see the allshare cast instruction screen (it's black) but I CAN see the dongle on my device and connect.
Hi Everybody,
When connecting my LG Optimus G (CM 11) to my Asus 1440×900 screen through 1) an MHL adapter 2) an HDMI cable and 3) an HDMI->DVI converter, I keep getting a 640px x 480px output regardless of the resolution set. I've already tried three of the resolution changer programs available on google play. When setting different resolutions, changes take effect on the screen of my mobile, but the image of the secondary screen is always fitted into a 640×480 "frame". Then this is stretched on the monitor.
When I connect my mobile to an HDMI-capable monitor through the MHL adapter and an HDMI cable, the phone can recognise the resolution of the monitor, and no such problems occur.
When I connect my computer to my Asus monitor through the setup described above (MHL adapter, HDMI cable, HDMI/DVI converter), resolution is fine.
Do you think this problem is software-related? Can I somehow force the MHL output to the resolution of my monitor?
Thank you for your help in advance.
