Hi, I'm having an issue with the equaliser of Walkman app since the 4.2 update. When I'm listening to music with earphone, suddenly the equaliser doesn't work. Sound is still there, but equaliser suddenly have no effect even when playing with the eq level or even the reverb settings.
Any of u guys face this issue?

I'm not using 4.2.2, does the equalizer work with other music apps like Google Play Music or Apollo?

CM6 introduced an app called DSPManager where you can tweak settings for headset, speaker and also bluetooth audio. There is a graphical EQ as well as some other effects like virtual rooms etc.
As far as I have tried its working with Froyo only.
Anyone know how set the stock music player to the 5.1 setting automatically/default when you use the headphone jack? Or a mod on the lock screen with a toggle for it?

How does musicfx work? How do I know of it is working? Are there settings to musicfx? I have a paid for version of poweramp, does it work with musicfx? Do I even need musicfx with my power amp?

Musicfx works only with the stock music player. Open sound effects from now playing menu. You will find equilizer, base boost, and 3d effects.

The default music effect is set to MusicFX in setrings.
When using the equalizer in Google Play mucis and turning it ON the volume drops (the vume level stays the same but the sounds is much lower)
Ideas??
And dont tell me to install another eq apo or player. I want to fix this

Right now im using stock ROM. And have a terrible sound, a lot of bass, sometimes laggs and "scratches" during listening music, phone become unresponsive for a moment.
I've changed Google Play Music app to Apollo CM player. Now it's ok in case of stability. But settings of the played music (Equalizer) makes me cry and my ears bleeding.
What you can recommend, maybe another player app?

Just browse. Upon purchasing my phone, I immediately rooted and the such and downloaded a third-party equalizer. I uninstalled the stock one and replaced it with the equalizer of my choosing.
The new Play Music app is kinda unstable, but I use it all the same. I suggest keeping Apollo and trying out a couple of equalizers.

I love PowerAmp (built in EQ) but since I signed up for the Play Music subscription, I've been relegated to the Play Music app. I'm on CM 10.1 now and it's nice to have system wide DSP.
