Android Equalizer? - Android Software/Hacking General [Developers Only]

Isnt there an equalizer out there for android?
And no, im not talking about the ones that are integrated in a music player.
Trance/Techno junkies!!!!! What is music without an equalizer? Exactly!!! Not much!!

CM6 introduced an app called DSPManager where you can tweak settings for headset, speaker and also bluetooth audio. There is a graphical EQ as well as some other effects like virtual rooms etc.
As far as I have tried its working with Froyo only.

Voodoo sound only for AOSP music player?

Are the benefits of voodoo sound only for stock music player or does it affect any music player. I only ask cause I like the widget that PowerAmp music player has.
Sent from my Nexus S using XDA App
it should benefit sound in general overall. just make sure you get the Voodoo Control app from the market
I'm using it with pro player through a bluetooth speaker works great

DSPManager

Does anyone know how to get DSPManager to work on this phone?
DSPManager is a program that has a system wide equalizer. You can balance sound for your headphones with Youtube, Netflix a radio app, music player etc. Not just one app

My phone comes in tomorrow and will work on this among other things. Also, supercurio is working on voodoo sound for the charge.
I thought DSP Manager only works in 2.3?

Musicfx question

Hi all.
How does musicfx work? How do I know of it is working? Are there settings to musicfx? I have a paid for version of poweramp, does it work with musicfx? Do I even need musicfx with my power amp?
Thanks
Heeter

Musicfx works only with the stock music player. Open sound effects from now playing menu. You will find equilizer, base boost, and 3d effects.
Great, Thanks for that.
Will be removing it then, since I use poweramp exclusively.

Which audio?

So I have unnamed, running antox rc3.test (no oc/UV)...the rom has dsp and beats music player built ib... but the music player seems to have its own native eq. Google music uses dsp.... now I have voodoo sound with the kernel. Which one should I use? Do they conflict with one another? Should I delete an unused one? So many choices! I would like to streamline and eliminate some redundancy.
Thanks!

They all work with eachother, personally i use voodoo for volume and dsp for bass and eq..although im running miui so theres an eq in the native musicplayer, it helps out other sounds on top of it

What media player do you use?

I used a lot of ROMs, but I have not really got the best built in media player. The HTC stock player is good, but could be better, CM's Apollo is too much, and relies on data. I tried Sony Walkman, and just didn't like the UI. Then I downloaded Mixzing, it is good, but it is not simplistic. Don't get me wrong, I love messing with tweaks, but it just had too much going for it. However, I do keep it for identifying songs, and automatically filling in ID3 tags. So far, I am using Poweramp, and it is smooth and simple, but powerful as well.
Now if it just played videos, that would be great, but I have JoeVLC for that. The best darn VLC port on Android if you ask me.
Try doubleTwist (does audio and video, very clean ui) and maybe the miui music app. I use mvideoplayer for video. Great great video player.

Thanks for the vlc link.
I use poweramp if I'm using good headphones. I like the sound it produces.

Tried that. A bit farfetched, and money hungry for simple features. I was really looking for id3 editing. Plus 4.99 for wireless transfers? That is what open SSH is for

I use the stock Apollo music player with v4a xhifi sound mod. Best sound quality ever.

winamp on android doesn't take advantage of sound mods
Apollo, Only when I have This audio mod.
Makes the phone's speaker sound godly and the headphones sound even better.
Music: Poweramp. (the best music player so far)
Video: MX Player (trust me, It's the best in the market)
I use Nexmusic/Nexmusic Nightly Beta for music (obviously) haha and MX Player for videos (best video player EVER). For editing song info I use Pimp My Music.

Does it sounds bettter than AwesomeBeats V5 and did you manually or automatically installed?
Good things here. Making me want to try MX player. I use vlc on PC, and it does wonders. Especially like the lock function. What is a good mod to get "glorious" sound? Obviously beats audio isn't what it is cracked up to be

I used to use this when I was running the Sense roms but it's currently not supporting 4.2.2 so I'm using this. Both of them make the phone loud and the audio pretty great. I leave BEATS BOOST on Slight, Equalizer on R&B, and sometimes I turn on the VIRTUAL ROOM EFFECT which I leave on Studio.
